Staff was super hopefully and they had everything I needed (card, rosary, and bible) for a first communion.

All in all the services aren't up to par with the friendly staff!…read more Let's face it, the textbook industry is brutal to college students. That being said, online stores and digital/eBooks are becoming more popular and far more affordable, which makes in-store experiences even more important! It's rare that I visit textbook store for the sake of saving money on textbooks but I needed one textbook only printed and sold through the university. After coming to terms of my "luxuriously priced" purchase here's how it panned out! The staff is friendly but not in-sync with the services they offer. My first visit for the semester was for a textbook that was out of stock during that visit. I was informed that I can pay for the textbook that day, provide my contact information and receive a call once the textbook arrived. After proceeding with that process and waiting for 3 weeks I had to explain to the professor the circumstances I was under and make accommodations for using the book. LUCKILY!! another student who had just experienced the same situation and overheard the conversation with the professor and informed me to stop back in to the Bookstore, as they had too after not receiving a call with the last batch of books that were offered. During my second visit, I was informed that the textbook I needed still wasn't available. So I decided to look where the book would be located and I found one copy left and approached the service desk again with the copy I found. The associate let me take the copy I found instead of waiting for my the copy that I still wasn't available. Again, great and friendly associates but inventory management and follow up are poor for the prices (textbook prices) we pay in these purchases.

Bookstore is in the middle of the campus and I find it to be cheaper when buying books compared to…read moreother bookstores and on-line. I always compare prices though because it depends on your major, how much books can cost. The apparel is very nice and they have a great selection of tshirts.

I guess that's where the "and more" part comes in (and does a lot of heavy lifting). Of the books on display, they had only a single copy (at least out on the floor). And the books were displayed face out, which makes sense when you're trying to catch the attention of young children many of whom can't read, but then when only half of your shelves hold books it's fairly sparse. They also had some stuff from some local purveyors and gifts and stuff. I got some bath stuff to try with my little one to shake up bath time a bit. They have some stuffed animals and stuff. They have some benches and pillows, spaces for kids to hang out and play; one was a wardrobe that was really nicely arranged as a reading nook which my kiddo really enjoyed. (I wish I had the vision to see something like a wardrobe and find that if I take the doors off and anchor it to a wall, it could be a fun place to cuddle up!) Something that's really cool is that they have a fishtank with a couple of axolotls, which my babe was astonished by. The bookstore seems to have a cool thing where you can arrange to have your kid feed them. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of our visit here was the reason we came. I saw on Instagram that they were having train day, mentioning train books and crafts. My daughter loves trains, so we headed down. I think there were three train books on display. And the "craft" was some half-sheets of paper, crayons, and sheets of stickers that had trains on them. There was another family that had come in at the same time as us and I couldn't help but wonder if they were as let down as I was. I'd been really looking forward to visiting this bookstore--I wanted to about a year ago but hadn't been able to get here. I don't know that I'd come back even if I was nearby, because there are so few books that I don't know I'd want to just stop in to take a look since I'm not sure we'd find anything. Depending upon what's happening I'm not sure what parking is like; there's a good deal of parking down the block near the train station, but otherwise limited street parking.
