Cali & Chance is located on Third Street in Geneva, the main drag for shopping in the town. There was a LOT of stuff--the place is packed to the gills with clothing, jewelry, home decor items, candles, and so on. It was pleasant wandering around the store, though I didn't find a lot of things for myself. But it would be a nice place to stop in on a day out with friends, or if looking for a gift or something.
I'm not as sure about the service... I bought a little something and it when I was at the checkout, I couldn't find anyone to help. So I waited and looked around a bit to see if anyone jumped out at me as an employee to ask if they could ring me up. 60-90 seconds later I heard someone say that there was someone at the desk; I guess the employee had been chatting with someone and that person noticed me. The checkout process itself was quick, it was just a little annoying that I would have been waiting longer if the customer hadn't noticed me there to tell the employee she was chatting with that I was there. I was actually about to put my things back and leave when the lady came up to help me, so good timing.
The Metra stop is nearby; Geneva is on the UP West line. There are at least one or two hotels near as well. Parking can be tricky, but there is street parking along here and some of the surrounding streets. read more
