Last week I hired Pedro and Peter's Shack Shine franchise to wash the interior and exterior windows of my 2300 sq. ft. house, for a considerable price. The two technicians that Pedro left on site were polite and responsive to my concerns. However, the two window washing techs were not experienced or trained enough to perform the service to the quality of what any homeowner would expect for a nearly $1,000 job. During their time on-site I noticed and had to bring to their attention entire windows, hard to access windows, and screens that had been entirely missed, screens that were not replaced, and spots that were attempted and left, and streaks and water spots that remained on the exterior windows and simply left behind. The worst aspect of the entire experience was with Pedro the manager himself. I attempted to deal with Pedro directly by texting him during the service provision letting him know that quality control was needed and that he should return to the house. All Pedro replied was that he was in touch with the window washers, he assured that I would be satisfied with the quality, and said he would not be returning. After that response Pedro ghosted me on the text string and did not respond to any further texts. With a house photographer due to arrive at my home I was forced to spend the next 60+ minutes walking around the home repeatedly and coaching the two window washers myself to complete the windows to a satisfactory level. I asked for a discount to account for my time that it took me to direct and coach Pedro's employees. I might have been satisfied with a $100-150 discount. But, between Pedro and Peter the franchise owner, all I was offered was $25 for my negative experience. Neither Pedro by text afterwards, nor Peter over the phone a week later, would back down and resolve the situation to my satisfaction. They both simply made excuses such as "no one should have to supervise their own job, you may have misunderstood our process," and from Peter, "we never leave a supervisor on the job, the technicians on the job are qualified." I hope Brian Scudamore the CEO of Shack Shine reads this review. He should not be impressed. Like I said, I don't recommend hiring these guys.
