Review-wise, there's not really much to say - if you've been to one Costa, you've experienced them…read moreall. It's the typical table-and-chair counter-purchase coffee-and-cake joint - sadly, like many other franchises, losing the charm that used to be provided by the comfy couches in the corner. Beside the bus-stop, its location doesn't particularly give you the nicest view in the area, so a lack of outside seating isn't a huge problem. One of the main things in its favour though is its later opening hours - if you're in need of a caffeine injection or a venue for an urgent heart-to-heart as N2's other cafés are putting upturned chairs on the table-tops at 6pm, Costa will give you an extra hour.

Out of all the coffee shop chains I think that costa coffee does the best coffee and this one is no…read moredifferent. The quality of the coffee is excellent and they always have a great variety of cakes and snacks, so I can't fault on them on their products at all. Where they slip up is their customer service. The staff in this costa coffee are not particularly friendly, they're the type of staff who talk to each other about their weekend while they're ringing up your order. I've been in three times this week and twice they got my order wrong. Once they asked if I wanted to take it away I said no thank you and they still put it in a take away cup. Then they reacted moodily when I asked for it not in a takeaway cup. This costa coffee is comfortable. There is plenty of seating, although it does get busy and you can't always get a table, and there are some sofa's too.

Happy hippy? or just running away from life…read moreitself (even if its just for a bit) this is a sanctuary enclosed by tress, green and Highgate woods. This cafe brings you back into the wild, back to nature and the tube stop is about 10 minutes away! The cabin is a homely, welcoming place were you can enjoy true and only vegetarian food, organic and delicious. Their dishes include pasta bakes, curries and shepherd's pie, soups and pate and yummy desserts. Whenever possible some of the ingredients come from the garden just outside! it doesn't get more organic than that! Seating out in the veranda, even when it's raining, is very romantic and intimate. And to top it all off power is supplied via a solar panel. The cabin can also be hired out for parties (children and adults) and meetings, and we had a blast in our offices Christmas party, the owner is a lovely guy that lives there and joined in the fun.

Think composing committees, weekend gardening volunteers, conservation talks, and as many solar panels as there are exposed wood panels. The inside of this cabin-style café is straight out of an Abe Lincoln biography and there's a large patio outside that cries for a few rocking chairs, a porch swing and a Willie Nelson cameo. The menu consisted of veggie favourites, mouth-watering cakes (although it would have been nice to have a gluten-free option or two,) and coffee/tea. Loads of the dishes noted ingredients that were grown on site in the volunteer run garden. Mmmm... crunchy goodness! No matter how far your hippy scale leans, it's rare in a place as big as London to feel completely isolated. If you're ever in the market, Queen's Wood Café is your spot.

I don't usually leave reviews (this will be my first on Yelp site) but felt compelled to write one…read moreafter the experience I had at Amici yesterday. I live locally and my husband and I have stopped by a few times to grab a quick take away sandwich. I stopped by yesterday to eat-in because I had a few minutes to spare and ordered the 'Goats cheese & Sun dried tomato' sandwich. As I stood at the counter I saw the lady fumbling to look for the cheese but didn't think much of it as I made my way to sit at a table. A few minutes later when I received my sandwich I couldn't see any white colored goats cheese in it. I took a bite and confirmed it was NOT goats cheese as it turned out to be yellow cheese. I went to the counter TWICE and politely asked which cheese they used because I know what Goats cheese tastes like and the fact that Goats cheese is always white. The staff member insisted what they gave me was Goats cheese and eventually showed me the cheese they used, which was YELLOW and labelled 'Giglio Cheese'. She claimed this was Goats cheese from Sardinia. Despite my explanation (and I wasn't complaining, I was pointing out that what they gave me was not what I ordered) all 3 of the staff members teamed up and insisted there are different types of Goats cheese and this is the type of Goats cheese made from Sardinia. I google'd Giglio Cheese when I got home and it is SHEEP'S CHEESE. Considering there are people who may have specific allergies, I would not recommend this cafe to anyone as they seem to think they can replace ingredients without your consent and insist they are what they are NOT.

The products they sell are really good quality and the staff are always really friendly. The only problem I have is that they often go a long time without restocking items. I've gone in a few times for coffee onlyto find that there aren't enough tables. It's unfortunate that they don't have a huge amount of space but it's a great compliment to them that they're always so busy! The staff are always really helpful and eager to get you whatever you want.
