My wife and I have been searching for a new dentist in this area for some time, and came upon Dr. Whetstone. Her credentials were what impressed us and convinced us to choose her. We made appointments for both of us and went just about a month and a half, or so later, on account of, us wanting two appointments back to back. So glad she was accepting new clients ! Upon entering, the waiting room was open and welcoming, as we were greeted immediately by her sweet and attentive receptionist. My wife was seen by Dr. Whetstone first. ( the guinea pig .. lol ) Her experience was relaxing and pain free .. not really two words one usually hears to describe a dentist's visit. I went next and truthfully, it was the same!! She was sweet and engaging in her conversation .. not just the typical " small talk ". Additionally, she was gentle in her approach, and seemed to genuinely care about the experience, WHILE it was happening! The one thing that struck me immediately, was that it was SHE who showed me to the examination room and she did all the work !! She did not have any dental hygienists doing the x-rays and the prep work .. it was ALL her ! Wow! Personally, I have never seen that before in a dentist office. That is the reason for the fifth star !! Afterwards, she escorted us both back out to meet with the receptionist, while she instructed her to make us another appointment six months later. This visit is one for the books! So happy we decided to move forward with Dr. Whetstone. Looking forward to our next check-up ! Cheers ! read more

This dentist completely misdiagnosed me and told me there was no other option other than an extraction. After going elsewhere, the new dentist correctly diagnosed, provided a solution, not extraction, and resolved the issue. This practice is old school with paper forms and the dentist droned on for 40 minutes. Waste of time and terrible experience. Person at front desk was extremely unfriendly. I would advise staying far away from this practice! read more

Dr. Whetstone and her front desk associates are AMAZING. I was thoroughly impressed by how helpful and kind they were. Both Michelle and Allison helped in my process of determining whether I was covered by my new dental insurance provider and were able to iron everything out for me. I went in for a cleaning and Dr. Whetstone has a gentle technique and was very knowledgeable. Immediately after my appointment they texted and emailed me the referral I requested for an oral surgeon to get my wisdom teeth removed. Very quick service, which was a relief as my last dental office was extremely disorganized and it literally felt like "pulling teeth" to get any type of referral. In addition to all of the above, the office is easy to find and there is plenty of free parking. So grateful to have found this dental office! read more

Of recent years I have developed anxiety about sitting in a dentist chair. After putting off my dental care for a few years, my sister recommended I see Dr Whetstone. I explained my 'issues' with the receptionist, Michelle, when I called to schedule the appointment. She was very reassuring that I would be okay here and they would be very understanding. And she was right! Everyone was so kind, very friendly yet very professional. Dr. Whetstone never seems in a rush, never distracted by other people in other chairs. She focuses on me when I'm there. I needed a filling on a Saturday as my tooth was killing me. I called all around TO trying to get in. She was not even open this Saturday and she came into the office special for me! I'd never seen her before in my life and she took time off of her weekend to help me. She didn't over charge me or anything like that either. I couldn't believe someone would be so kind. I went to Dr. Whetstone after a piece of my molar chipped off. I hadn't been to the dentist In a few years because of other health issues, but Michelle in the front office was able to get me in right away. Dr. Whetstone was fantastic; she was great to talk to, gentle, and conservative with her treatment. She was able to save my tooth when I was certain I needed a root canal. I've been to several dentists, but she is one I'm looking forward to going to see again. I liked her so much, I made an appointment for a regular cleaning 4 days later and will be coming back routinely. She's honest, nice, and has a lovely office to boot! read more

I have been very fortunate to have good dentists in the past but I can NOT say enough amazing things about Dr Whetstone! I have been to her a couple times now and she is amazing. She is personable, gentle and very caring. I feel like I'm going to a friends house instead of the dentist. The staff is amazing and always really accommodating. Dr. Chris Whetstone is a wonderful dentist who can take care of anything from a gentle cleaning to fixing a broken crown. My crown that I had for about 20 years popped off on a Saturday evening (my fault I was chewing a really hard sticky candy!) and Dr. Whetstone called me back to tell me what to do within minutes. She also squeezed me into her schedule her next working day (which was booked) to make sure I got taken care of. I count on Dr. Whetstone to take care of my entire family's teeth. Dr. Whetstone has been our family dentist for more than two decades. She is kind, professional, and does an amazing job. Even though I have since moved out of state I make arrangements to see her when I am in town. Dr. Whetstone makes me feel comfortable, because going to the dentist isn't always the most pleasurable experience. She explains procedures and makes you feel at ease.
