When it comes to the finest cigars and anything you could ever need to go with them, La Casa Del…read moreHabanos is the place. As soon as I walked in the door I was drawn to the beautifully decorated, colourful lacquered cigar boxes. These babies would look better on my dressing table with my jewels in them than cigars I reckon! They are surrounded by equally colourful and decorative ash trays and lighters. As I walked around the store, the more serious cigar paraphernalia was revealed. There are cigar cutters and scissors in all shapes and sizes (cutters make me curl my fingers into fists because of a certain Mission Impossible film). There's a walk in humidor which smells really earthy and is stocked with the most fascinating array of thick ones, thin ones, short ones and long ones. And that, is about the extent of my cigar knowledge! If you're into cigars, or want a gift for someone who appreciates them, look no further.

Bought 2 cigars here while on holiday... 1 was definitely a fake--a Montecristo #2 petite. No way…read moreit was real. The tobacco itself was terrible, and it burned horribly. I have smoked plenty of fine cigars (to include Montecristos) and this had none of the qualities the sales person (or the cigar magazines) said it would. I cannot tell whether the second cigar was indeed real, but it at least tasted like it was made with better tobacco and generally burned like it should. Unfortunately, I was several hundred kilometers away from the store when I went to smoke the cigars. So, no easy way to request a refund. I have smoked enough cigars to know that even the best brands have will the occasional poorly constructed cigar. But the tobacco generally tastes like it should. I am not suggesting that the store knowingly sells fakes. The store seemed reputable, especially because it is on the ground floor of a well known hotel. But I would encourage its managers to check their supply chain.

I don't mind walking past this place for 5 more minutes until I get to Cignall because the customer…read moreservice here is a joke. Customer Service: Why does Free Choice hire people who don't understand anything about selling tobacco? They don't know anything about their products and to add on, don't speak English very well either. "50 grams Champion Ruby please" The lady had no idea what I was talking about, so I said slower and louder "Champion Ruby", thinking that maybe she just didn't hear me. In actuality, she didn't even know what Champion Ruby was. Why do you get a job selling tobacco, when you don't even know the product? Then proceeded the struggle to tell her I wanted 50 g, not 30. She got the bag of 30 anyway and I told her "the bigger one" because she didn't understand the measurement denominations either. Smoking's a pretty shit habit so I don't blame someone if they don't know anything about the tobacco. I just think it's a bit silly if someone is going to get a job selling a product they don't know much about. I should mention that this lack of proper customer service is consistent.

I ordered over $550 of product as a gift for a family member in NZ. I called Vape Culture and they…read moreassured me they'd shipped to NZ fine before, so I placed an order and paid for shipping to NZ. The order was shipped but then ended up being returned to Vape Culture in Melbourne, as apparently it wasn't addressed properly. I again paid for what I thought was additional secure, registered postage and Vape Culture shipped it again. This time, after weeks of waiting, it never arrived, and eventually, after weeks of chasing, NZ post admitted to losing it, despite it being registered post. I/my recipient in NZ, had to do most of the chasing and enquiries myself with NZ Post. Vape Culture then tried to wipe their hands of it by advising me there was nothing they could do as they had sent the item with me as sender (so 'on my behalf'), and I would have to make a claim against NZ post myself. I reminded them that under Victorian consumer law (https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/products-and-services/problems-with-a-product/products-missing-or--damaged-in-transit) , the seller is responsible for missing, postage. Therefore, I gave them the option of either refunding me, or sending replacement product to me in Queensland. They then completely ghosted me so lodged a claim with my bank. My bank agreed with me, accepted my claim, and issued me a full refund. Vape Culture intentionally made me jump through hoops and ghosted me, made me do all the work to resolve the issues and just cut me loose, despite knowing full well they were breaching consumer law. They listed me as the sender so they thought they could (incorrectly) absolve themselves of any responsibility if the purchase went missing in the mail. They made me pay twice for the same level of postage, instead of using the money I paid a second time to purchase a more secure postage option, which I requested. BUYER BEWARE! Vape Culture will not honour consumer laws and CANNOT be trusted.
