I've used The Garden Girl for the past two growing seasons:…read more* 2024 the experience was nothing short of AMAZING * 2025 the experience has/had been nothing short of HORRIFIC‼‼‼ DO NOT USE THEM... Here's why you'll regret it‼ Whereas there crews do an incredible job and are very pleasant... The owner of Garden Girl (Jackie) is one of THE most unpleasant and unappreciative folks to "work" with that I've EVER encountered! I gave them more than $5,000 worth of business this past year and the appreciation I got today was a "Dear John" email where she has cancelled doing any further work for me! The true reason for this is that Jackie has taken on too many customers, doesn't have enough crews to handle the work load and, with this springs wet weather, she can't keep up with satisfying her customers, agreed upon, monthly maintenance schedules. And, she refuses to do what it takes to do so, ie, working weekends to catch up (as MANY other landscaping companies are doing), because "she has a life other than @ Garden Girl"! Yesterday, after pushing my mid-May monthly maintenance back several times, she then told me that it was now going to be a mid-June job "take it or leave it"... SO, when I told her that wasn't what we had agreed to for a "committed to" monthly maintenance schedule, she fired off the "Dear John" email to me this morning! So, if you can wait for months, through multiple broken appointments and don't mind dealing with an incredibly unappreciative and disorganized business owner, then perhaps you'll eventually have one of her fantastic crews show up! But, based on where it looks like her business is headed.... I'm not so sure of even that‼ I'll expect Jackie will reply here shortly and she'll push the blame back on me but you, as a potential customer, can decide who's telling the true story...Remembering that all I did to set her off was to question her inability to schedule... Not a great business decision, at her end, for a $5,000+/year client‼

We have a very typical bucks county home with no unusual or large flower beds. Just for spring clean up and mulching we have already been billed over $2,800 !!! How could their estimate have been that far off?? Total scammers.

When we first started going this was a nice affordable way to spend a Saturday afternoon, and purchase a couple of pumpkins. I do not know what has happened. These events have become overly commercial and very expensive. All of the activities now take tickets. There was a slide that cost 2 dollars. This seemed exceedingly expensive. It used to be the activities were free, but you paid for food, the pumpkins, etc. I can understand charging for a hayride which we rode, and I have to say it was very nice , relaxing and fun. Both my 15 year old and 6 year old enjoyed this hayride. There is a lot to do, and the activities are fun. However, as stated above, you will pay for everything you do or eat here. The corn maze was fun, but a bit short. The highlight was the hayride. They did have a guy playing guitar and singing country types of songs. He was quite good, and the music added to the atmosphere. The hours are 12-4 which really should be expanded to end at 5 or 6. The bottom line is we had a good time, but spent over $75 for a 2 1/2 hour visit. This is not a very good value.

But, we'd used them for sod before and I knew they had a nice selection of plants/flowers - so we decided to swing by Bromm's first, since it was close to our home. Well, not only did we find the nicest hydrangea bushes VERY reasonably priced, we also found Carolyn and Bootsie. You see, I'm a newbie at gardening. I ordered seeds from rareseeds.com and had grown my own little plants. I put - oh - about 6 tomato plants in a 12 inch container and I asked the lady roaming about the shop if I needed a tomato cage for ALL of them or could I use only one tomato cage for all of them. Well, she didn't laugh, she didn't call me an idiot (though after talking to Carolyn, I called myself an idiot!) and she spent at least 20 minutes talking to me about growing tomatoes and gave us other very practical useful info about gardening that we'd never known. While she was talking, a sweet darling cat came from out of no where and followed me around. "Bootsie" is the cat of the farm and I couldn't resist showering him (her?) with some seriously love. Anyway, Bromm's has everything! From flowers to herbs to trees and bushes, we will be using them as our #1 go to gardening shop. I picked up some pineapple sage that, every time I smell it, I think of pineapple upside down cake! They have some really interesting herbs that I've never heard of before, as well as the usual suspects. The kindness and knowledge and time that Carolyn spent with us, however, is the one thing that sticks out in my mind. It's employees like Carolyn that will make customers spread the word and keep them coming back. We need more Carolyns. And I need more tomato cages!
