Brian the owner of Design Flow was very knowledgeable and able to accommodate my request which was to connect a new furnace to existing AC unit (located in a narrow utility closet), rather than having to replace the whole stack which is what another company had originally told me. The AC was relatively new and working well. Brian was about business without a hard sell edge. He explained everything about the new size issue, drew a plan of how the ductwork would be moved, told me how the work flow for this type of job typically works and provided a thorough proposal. Everyone from the company owner, to Michelle in the office to the installation technicians were on point. Job was done in a timely manner, and the guys were very neat! Well worth the money.

The inspector said the other two were beyond their normal useful life but still worked. What we didn't expect was that we couldn't get the property insured unless we agreed to replace all three heating and cooling systems within a month! We scrambled to find a good HVAC company that could do the job for us. Enter Design Flow Heating and Cooling. Working closely with us, they recommended three cost-effective heat pumps. They then removed and disposed of all the old systems and installed the new ones well within the thirty-day limit. But once we moved in, we discovered the upstairs wasn't being cooled uniformly, and in fact the previous owner had blocked the vents in some places in an attempt to balance it. The pros at Design Flow diagnosed the problems promptly and installed new ducts and returns to draw the hot ceiling air away from areas where the temperature was too high. It made such a difference! I recommend Design Flow Heating & Cooling without reservation!

I couldn't possibly be more happy with 495 Home Services. My first experience with this company was…read morea few weeks ago for the installation of a flat screen TV for my company. Alex was fast, efficient and cleaned up after his work leaving me a spotless room and a perfectly mounted TV. After such great service, I hired 495 Home Services a second time to hang a giant banner on the side of my company's building. There were a few structural challenges with mounting the banner, and Alex and Julio troubleshooted every issue that came up and within a couple hours had this banner mounted securely, perfectly centered and level. (And on the hottest and most miserably humid day of the summer, they did it with smiles on their faces.) After the banner I had one more job for 495 Home Services. Mounting a super sized pull down projector screen. Once again, I am wildly thrilled with the fast work and a perfectionists attention to detail that 495 Home Services provides.

However after reading multiple Yelp reviews and sending a private message to a customer and receiving her feedback, I decided to call the company to get an estimate on some projects. Alex immediately emailed me to confirm a day to conduct the estimation and also provided his cellphone number, by texting me. Alex and his staff were very professional and I am super happy with the outcome. I wanted to surprise my parents with renovating their home and I told Alex the timeline. He worked with me to ensure that everything would be completed on time. He is also very knowledgeable, so if you are unsure as to how something would look etc, he will give you an honest opinion. I also felt comfortable working with him because he was easy to get in contact with and very trustworthy. Several projects his team worked on (i've attached pictures) included building a small roof with shingles for the patio area, organizing/ boxing/ moving items into a storage area, landscaping, installing blinds, power washing etc. I would definitely recommend this company since it is quite difficult to find people who you can trust and will work closely with you within budget to accomplish your goals.

Sher Zaman was very good at outlining how much work could be done at a certain cost, and we finalized a plan that covered the important parts of the house that needed the most work. We would recommend TASH to anyone contemplating a renovation project.

We just had a substantial amount of electrical work done by master electrician, James Dowd of…read moreNorthern Alliance Electric. He and his apprentices did a "heavy up" and indoor repair work which passed inspection immediately; I have only the best things to say about his professionalism and work ethic, and that of his crew. I also learned more from James about electric circuits, the types of switches and outlets needed, grounding the house, new circuit boards and breakers, and general lighting questions than I've learned in all of my 6+ decades. James takes the time to explain what he is doing and to answer questions....he wants his customers to understand the tasks and to be happy with the work he does. I bet I have the neatest and safest circuit breaker wiring in all of Bethesda....he takes pride in his work. When it came to doing work throughout the house, he and his crew were courteous and considerate, wearing shoe covers to protect the carpet and wood floors and cleaning up meticulously after themselves. When James came to check out the job, he investigated and discussed issues none of the other electrical contractors brought up; as a result, there were no surprises at my end. His estimate was precise and easily understood. I knew the cost of everything in advance, and even knew the cost of alternative ways of doing a job should the least expensive way prove impossible. I removed tasks from our agreement after paying my deposit varied reasons and that did not create an issue for James at all. He was flexible, responsive to emails and calls, on time, organized and thoroughly prepared. I can tell you that his prices were the same as other contractors for standard items, such as changing switches, outlets and ceiling fixtures. He came in several hundred to a thousand less on the heavy up than all the other bids of which I had many. This lowest estimate was not the selling point for me, however. I read reviews about his work and asked for a reference. I spoke with a homeowner for whom James had just completed a similar job and she was thrilled with his professional qualities and his workmanship; I can see why.

So, I've never before left a review for a company for giving me a price quote, but what Marcus at M…read more& C Global Construction did was way above and beyond, and I would highly recommend his business to anybody in need of general contracting work. I was looking into getting siding done for my elderly mother's home, which is badly in need of repair, and Marcus not only gave me a quote, but he (1) was incredibly honest about possible damage underneath the siding once the job begins that may need to be addressed to maintain the integrity of the structure of the house (something that the other contractors I got quotes from didn't do), (2) went out of his way to make the right kind of financing available to my mother to accommodate her concerns by adding a new option to his list of financing options by having his company sign up with an additional bank, (3) made adjustments to match competitors' price quotes, (4) took a look at some other areas of my mother's home to help me make assessments about what work to prioritize and (5) overall made it abundantly clear that customer comfort and understanding are important to him. I mean, he answered a ton of questions I had over a period of weeks, and he also instilled in me the importance of addressing certain issues with my mom's house to maintain the home value and not cause or exasperate potential structural issues in the long run, emphasizing that he wanted her to make the best decisions regardless of whether or not we were able to sign a contract with M & C Global at this time. I have nothing but positive things to say about my contact with the owner of this company, and in fact he has left me feeling much more knowledgeable about the work ahead that needs to be done on my mother's home (even beyond the siding issues) and more empowered to get the work done. Marcus told me that he's passionate about advocating for homeownership and helping people maintain their homes. It definitely shows.
