Both my…read morehusband and I agreed that we would be more comfortable with having a doula present, who could help us navigate through these unchartered waters. After researching and speaking with many doulas, we decided to go with Jana. She was extremely professional, organized, knowledgeable, and most importantly, listened to what we wanted and even asked us questions that made us think about aspects of the birth we had not considered. At our first visit, she gave us a very comprehensive overview of what to expect and how to best prepare for the big day. When my contractions started, we were in constant communication via text and phone. She immediately recognized that the baby was not in a favorable position and was causing me immense pain. She suggested exercises and positions to try and get baby to turn. At the hospital, Jana worked very well with our nurse and was our advocate and spokesperson when we needed her to be. She was prepared with snacks (juice can only go so far) and other comfort items like a vaporizer with essential oils. Throughout the almost 12 hours at the hospital, Jana struck a balance between knowing when to step in and suggest positions to my husband and I, when to back off and let me do my thing, and when to push me to drink or rest. Having someone we trusted there to help guide us was invaluable, especially in allowing my husband time to get food or rest. Without Jana, I wouldn't have had the natural childbirth experience I wanted. The week after my son was born, Jana followed up to check in on us and also stopped by for a visit. It was re-assuring to have her there to answer any questions and be a resource for us first time parents. I strongly recommend her doula services and she will be my first call if we decide to add to our family!

From our first initial consultation, Jana provided a wealth of information and lent me books. Due to some complications, my Drs recommended inducing me early and Jana was flexible in being there for us. During my labor, Jana helped me with the excruciating back labor. She braided my hair, gave me back pressure and helped my husband in supporting me. Because of Jana, we were able to have the best birth experience possible.

I had high hopes for this videographer based on the experience he reported and the sample videos he…read moreprovided prior to me contracting with him to complete several short videos to be housed on my business website. Unfortunately, my experience was a total disappointment. Mina promised professional-quality work but delivered something that felt more like that of a student or novice in the field. Ultimately, the final product was of such poor quality that I was left with no other alternative but to completely reshoot all the videos with another unaffiliated professional videographer. Specifically, the final videos contain extensive sound skips, awkward transitions, and overall poor editing decisions. Even with repeated requests for these matters to be resolved in editing, Mina has consistently reported he believes he has provided an exceptional product and has no further contractual obligation. Although his contract states it includes "comprehensive editing to create a polished video," he advised he would not provide additional edits (repeated and inappropriate stock images, a typo to my business name, and extensive audio issues) unless I paid an additional $350. Not only was this cost undisclosed, but the edits I requested should have largely been resolved by him prior to him presenting me with any final product. Mina's unprofessionalism was additionally problematic throughout the project. On the day of the shoot he arrived 45 minutes late, compromising the natural light available. Additionally, he was 15+ minutes late for the 3 additional meetings where he presented his work. At best, this was just a blatant disregard for the value of my time and the investment he has in his own professional image. All in all, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. The project has been a total loss for me.

We have been the event planners for this conference for the past 8 years, our photography budget is not large, and we have struggled each year to find a photographer who is affordable and knows how to shoot conference events. Greg is the photographer we have been waiting for all these years. He responded quickly to our quote request, with a detailed and very reasonable quote. When we met him for the first time, about 30 minutes before he was to begin shooting the conference, he was friendly, smiling, and seemed to know exactly what we wanted and made us feel that he would deliver. Throughout the 3-days of the conference, Greg was always prompt in showing up (even early), he seemed to be everywhere at once and always around when you needed him. After the conference ended, we received the photo files within just a couple of days. The photos are BEAUTIFUL. Greg managed to get multiple, excellent shots of everything and everyone. This is the first time in our 8 years of handling this conference that we are 100% happy with the event photos. The icing on the cake is that Greg has a winning personality. He is funny, engaging, knows how to make people smile and feel comfortable. Since I am pregnant and also have two boys, I wanted the photoshoot to be special by capturing our growing family. We decided on a maternity and family holiday photoshoot, which included variety of backgrounds and outfits. The next step was scheduling a in-person fitting prior yo the shoot to try on a few dresses. Sofia put together a styling sheet and provided suggestions on what to wear for my family to coordinate nicely. Sofia also provided a timeline on the day of the shoot, which was very helpful. As a busy pregnant working mom, the best thing about this entire experience was getting professional hair and makeup done at the studio! Shoutout to artist Veronica for making me feel and look my best. I have done two sunrise family photoshoots in the past, and I absolutely do not have the energy, time, or desire to get ready on my own. I also had a maternity in-studio photoshoot done last year, I had to go get makeup and hair done in two different places, then drive an hour, which by then my curls were no longer holding. Not at Sachiko Studios, they will take care of you from beginning to end, and you will feel fresh. After getting hair and makeup done, we did a quick maternity photoshoot session. My family met us at the studio and we did the holiday photoshoot. The in-studio photos of our family portraits turned out lovely. For outdoor shoot, we drove to Bradbury's Bridge, which was about 15 min away. I loved the fall and natural backdrops. Having the option of doing an outdoor photoshoot was great because it captured our active kids candidly. Nadine was so great with my kids! She was able to capture my youngest looking happy and all smiles. She rewarded my oldest for being good at following directions.

Finally came to a place in my business where I felt like I needed some professional branding…read morephotos. My business is ALL me and I needed help capturing what I do to launch on my website. My photo session included hair and makeup by one of Nadine's stylists, Quendy (highly recommend!!) and wardrobe! That really helped because my closet consists of leggings and sweaters lol. We did 3 outfit changes, Nadine shot some of my products, and action shots with a model. Nadine made the whole experience very comfortable and fun for someone who is *really* shy and prefers to stay behind the camera. I love how my photos came out and excited for another photo session in the future!
