She was not telling us what we should do and listened to what we wanted and advised what worked best. She worked with the timeline our venue gave and knew where our venue was (very important). When we asked her 3 weeks before the wedding if we can have a second photographer, she made it happen. What really stood her apart is that we agreed on a start and end time and what photos we wanted for the wedding. During the wedding, she checked in with us informing us how much more time we have her and Elaine for, as well as which photos we are still missing (table to table). Sara did so much more than just take amazing photos. She helped me plan the timing of the whole day, with expert guidance and perspective on lighting and flow. She dedicated a lot of time and energy to help plan and prep with me so she really understood what we wanted for our big day. She was responsive and professional and also personable, sweet, and funny. When the day arrived, Sara and her second photographer Cecilia helped everything run so smoothly. She even knew how to calm me down when I was freaking out. Sara wrangled our big rowdy family and had lots of tricks for getting natural facial expressions and poses out of everyone including the children and the awkward adults. She kept us laughing while also moving us through the many groups we had lined up. I just looked through all the photos from the ceremony and I can't believe how many angles Sara and Cecilia captured-- they were everywhere... but how??? I would give negative 50 stars if I could. This photographer sent me extremely poor quality photos…read moreand said she would refund me. When I asked about the refund amount she kept changing how much she would send. Finally I got fed up with corresponding with her so I filed a dispute through my credit card. She realized a dispute would be damaging to her reputation so suddenly she came back apologizing asking me to remove the dispute and she would send me a refund. So I remove the disputes and she refunds me. Two days later she goes AWOL and says I filed another dispute and drags me through social media because she texted me at 8am and I didn't respond til 10am (I was sleeping). I literally called my bank and recorded the phone call where the bank confirms all disputes have been cancelled and the dispute she received this morning was an old one but they cancelled it too. In response she asked PayPal to take back my refund and she went psycho on me saying I'm trying to scam her. How am I trying to scam you when I literally have proof I was dissolving all of the disputes in exchange for a refund?? Now she has blocked me on everything and is no longer responding to my messages. Oh and take a look at the horrendous quality of these photos she sent me. She claims this is high quality??

We were referred to Joon by another photographer, and I was originally looking to book Joon for an engagement photoshoot. I had been planning the engagement for around midday, and while Joon said he could certainly deliver, he advised that the sunlight would be harsh and potentially make for unflattering lighting. His feedback prompted me to change my proposal plans to a different day and location in NorCal. Several months later, when we locked in our venue in SoCal, I remembered Joon's helpful advice, reached out, and booked him for our wedding! On the wedding day, Joon arrived early to scout the location, did a "first look" with me and my partner at some beautiful spots he had picked out, and shot tirelessly throughout the 4 hours. He was always available and amenable when we asked to take certain photos with friends and family. He also captured so many candid moments that were fun to look back on, including some that my partner and I missed during the whirlwind of the day. For those who aren't comfortable in front of a camera, Joon does a great job of providing direction. After the wedding, Joon sent about a dozen preview photos within a week or so to check his editing style. Everything looked great at that point. My partner and I ultimately received several hundred edited photos about 3 weeks after the wedding. We were so pleased with how everything turned out. Add that to a move from Atlanta to LA - it's tough to know who is legit. So when trying to find a photographer, we asked for recommendations from her agents, friends in the Industry, other parents - I even searched photos on IMDB that I liked and researched the person credited for the photo. After all of the recommendations, I began looking through various websites. Next I contacted the photographers based on the photos to determine fit. We chose Keli because she was engaged from the beginning. We initially spoke over the phone and her warm personality came through. She asked me questions about my daughter and what we were looking for (e.g. commercial, editorial, etc.). Keli asked me text a photo of my daughter. Based on her picture she explained her vision for the shoot from beginning to end. We really enjoyed working with Keli as she is really hands on from the moment you contact her. As other reviewers have said, Keli recommends wardrobe choices that really make the pictures pop off the screen. There are several things that make her stand out: - she does allot of pre-work before the shoot (wardrobe selection, makeup artists, etc) so the time can be spent actually taking photos. - Keli makes quality recommendations based on all budgets. She suggests baller on a budget to money is no object. - The photo shoot was fun! She played music and my daughter had a great time (the essence of her personality, what she was thinking/her expressions were all captured). - She sent the photos in a link directly to her agent. My daughter's agent LOVED the photos (He actually typed LOVE in the email). He had such a hard time narrowing down which ones to use because they were so good. Within days of uploading the new photos she's had several auditions based on those photos. Fingers crossed on what she books - but Keli's photos got her in the door!
