As soon as I was approved for the Canada Dental plan, he was drilling my teeth that they all needed root canal. I had no prior problems with these tooth no pain, no sensitivity and he ruined all my teeth and now telling me he might need to extract them because they cannot be saved. he collected thousands of dollars from the insurance, ruining my teeth. The biggest thing is that they lied about applying for the crown for these teeth. I was just a where I would need to go back every week. I was in that office every week because the teeth are always broken. This has caused me so much depression and night. Please do not let this person in your mouth.

We chit chat, catch up where we left off and ease right into the session reserved. My Doc is Dr Faryal Hussain, if your like me and just a big baby, always scared, tensed, and horrified about what's going to happen next, then she's your gal, she actually cares! No I am not just saying this, she actually does care, that connection, personal touch is there. My mouth was bad, broken this, several root canals, fillings, extractions you name it, I got it going on in my mouth! But we started off with a plan, and we executed the plan step by step, the fear of visiting the dentist went away slowly, I started feeling comfortable and actually looked forward to my visit(s). Is my mouth in a better place, not really but nothing to do with EK Dental, it's my smoking and poor oral hygene! To be honest today June 29, 2021 I actually disappointed my Doctor from where she left me off 1.5 years ago. Ouch it hurt when she said that, but she had every right to say it as she worked so hard in helping me have better hygene and I threw it out the window. Guys I am 6'2" a big boy! but I am little baby when it comes to going to the dentist, my 9 year old daughter is more brave then me. If someone as scared as me can overcome my fear of going to the dentist, then you can just imagine how great of a person Dr. Faryal Hussain truly is! This is one GEM changed my thinking and built my confidence and trust in the process. This is despite the law says that they have to keep it for a minimum of ten years at least, keeping in mind they still has from thirteen years ago for a cleaning, and since these new charges are fraudulent, they suddenly cannot find or don't have them, forgetting that you can get them from the insurance company directly and can find it online on the insurance website too, lousy people, take out he wrong teeth, fill the wrong tooth and double charge for xrays.

The chubby girl was not. So I left. After running an errand I came back to to see if I could schedule an appointment with another dentist since Dr. Lam had already wasted enough of my time. The chubby girl proceeded to speak to me in a condescending tone. She tried to say that sometimes appointments run over and blah blah...I attempted to relay the above she was not interested in hearing my position and kept cutting me off. See then continued on in her condescending tone saying that there may be fees involved as most dentists, in the process of consulting, would need to look at my teeth. I assured her I knew the difference between a consult and an exam and I was here for the free consultation that was advertised in the window. I was not here for an exam. I know what dental work I need. I was seeking specific advice and costs. She continued repeating her sales pitch in her negative holier that thou tone. Visiting a dentist can be hard enough. I recommend you find a business that at least understands the basics of tone and respect. After all they'll be drilling into your face. Personally I'm taking my money elsewhere.

As my last dentist has passed away, I started looking for a new dentist. I looked on Ontario Dental Association's website and found this office nearby. The dentist listed wasn't available therefore the receptionist recommended Dr. Hanieh Rahimi. I booked an appointment for a consultation. I must say that I was impressed by the professional outlook of the office. Everything was very tidy and pleasant. The two receptionists were welcoming, there was nice relaxing spa music and Dr. Rahimi and her assistant were friendly. She referred me to an specialist for a root canal. I went there and it was so so but now it's done and doesn't hurt any longer. I was supposed to go back to Dr. Rahmi's office next week to get a crown fitting. The office had quoted me $1515 for the entire procedure. Then, I had one simple request from the office. I noticed that they were using heavily scented hand soap and lotions in the washroom. I remember it used to linger on my hands forever. While I was being examined, I could also breath in the fumes off the dentist and assistant's hands. I was surprised that someone in the medical field would not know better about the respiratory problems caused by such chemicals. When I brought this up to the office's attention this week, I asked them if they could at least use unscented products on the day of my appointments. I didn't see this as a major issue. To my great surprise, I received an email yesterday from their office to cancel my appointments because of this. I guess their business must be going extremely well if they can refuse new patients this easily. She referred me to a wellness dentist downtown. As a self employed person I have no coverage so these guys do it the cheapest. But lesson learned, I'd rather pay higher to get quality service then having to wait for hours to see a dentist. These people don't care about their patients time or anything. These patients work hard and take time off work but they don't care. Wish I can give a lower rating but can't.
