My youngest started coming to Dr. Carter around the age of 10. He recommended a 3 phase treatment plan for her braces, and offered an a great affordable price of one deposit cost and monthly payments and no interest change. My daughter had a small jaw/mouth and there was simply no room for her adult teeth to come out and this would delay her baby teeth from falling out on their own as well. Phase one was an expander for 6 months. Phase two were braces for about one year. After phase two my youngest was given time with no braces to let her adult teeth grow out more. Phase three was the last set of braces again. I was very happy with the outcome of my youngest smile and glad I chose Dr. Carter's office for my daughter's orthodontic journey. Office staff members were very pleasant, outgoing, & friendly. They always had a way of making my youngest comfortable during their care, as well as Dr. Carter very professional & friendly. The orthodontic office is fairly small but I never had to wait long periods of time in their lobby. All my appointments were completed in a timely manner. Getting through a staff member for phone calls was about the only issue I had throughout the time my youngest receive care, but they were good about eventually returning my call. read more

I have visited 5 orthodontists before starting Invisalign. I knew immediately that Dr. Carter was the right choice. Most conservative (no teeth pulling), expert in the field and really cares about doing the best work. I was right. Our whole family started the treatment and got perfect results. Dr. Carter is always fun to see and he can remember everything you told him last time you saw him. The office is beautiful, spacious and clean and it is pleasure to visit. All the staff is very professional and they all look happy to work there. Anytime I needed any small adjustment of retainers after my treatment ended he did it free of charge. I recommend Dr. Carter 100%. You will be very happy if you choose to go with him. read more

I could not write highly enough about Dr Carter and his practice. Have two sons going to him, one of them with a very challenging case of five congenitally Missing Teeth. After consulting with many orthodontics, we decided to go with Dr Carter because we found his recommendation to be honest and not financially motivated, which was a refreshing change. One & half years on, no regrets. 100% recommend. read more

I can't say enough about Dr. Carter. He has been treating my grandson who has over 8 congenitally missing teeth, which posed many challenges. He never gave up. My grandson had two phases of conventional braces and another phase of Invisalign. Dr. Carter has been so caring and compassionate with my grandson and eased all apprehension. In the final phase, Dr. Carter worked closely with our endodontist who recently placed several implants, and general dentist who will do the final crowns. Today my grandson "graduated" from orthodontic care. His care has spanned nearly ten years! We are so grateful we were referred to Dr. Carter so many years ago! I'd give ten stars if that were an option! read more

Dr. Carter and his team are fantastic! Every time my children had an appointment they were seen within 5 minutes of our arrival. I do not know of any other doctors office that runs this efficiently. If we have had an issue with a loose wire or a retainer fix, they fit us in immediately. Dr. Carter and his team take the time to explain the process and update us at each appointment. The front desk is especially fantastic! They always are friendly and helpful on the phone. A big thank you to Toni for all the help she gave us getting dates scheduled. Thank Dr. Carter and team for caring so well for my kids and making their smiles great!!! read more

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Carter and his staff. We returned from the area in 2020 and were in need of an orthodontist to continue my son's treatment. We interviewed three offices and decided to go with Dr. Carter. Wow, what a great choice!!! From the start, he and his kind and helpful staff, have been so professional and knowledgeable. Most recently we had a very questionable experience at our regular dentist and he and his staff went above and beyond to help. Not only did Dr. Carter look at the xrays from the other office, he took the time out of his busy afternoon schedule to look at my son's teeth and set us on the right treatment plan. I can not thank him and his staff enough for their kindness and their willingness to help. You will not be sorry if you choose this office, trust me! read more

Dr. Carter and his staff are fantastic! Both of my kids had orthodontic treatment here and I did too (yes, they offer adult orthodontia!). They are incredibly efficient - sometimes you barely get a chance to sit down in the waiting room before they are calling you back for your appointment. Staff are friendly and professional. Dr. Carter will get your teeth looking perfect. I am so pleased with the results he has provided our family and the follow up care he provided. Dr. Carter and his staff are caring, professional, prompt and knowledgeable. I had a couple consultations with different orthodontists and am so glad we chose Dr Carter. Both of my kids had braces and the experience was as positive as it possibly could be. My son has Autism/ADHD and the entire staff was always exceptionally patient and said just the right things to make him comfortable. We had to pivot the treatment a bit when he wouldn't wear his bands and Dr Carter was so compassionate and understanding and had a back up plan ready. My daughter had an orthodontic emergency over a weekend and he did not hesitate to come in and treat her on a Saturday. Dr Carter gets to know each kid (and parent) and we never felt rushed through any visits. I have never written a Yelp review for a medical professional, but couldn't miss the opportunity to sing the praises of Dr Carter and his staff! read more

Dr. Carter is an amazing Ortho. He does take a more conservative approach and does not feel pushy. You get a sense of honest dedication here. His front office was very kind and welcoming. His assistant that was there during the consult made my son feel comfortable. For example, my kid was working on a word puzzle and she got him a clipboard. He was a valued patient even if he was just 6yrs old. Dr.Carter interacted with my son well. And made sure he even looked inside his mouth (not just the x-ray in front of him). We look forward to seeing him soon! The location of this place is also nice and easy to access. A bonus for having it near a Starbucks! Just a disclaimer: this is my 3rd Ortho consult for my kid as it has been recommended that my kid gets expanders because of overcrowding. read more

I cannot day enough wonderful things about Dr. Carter and his incredible staff. First, Dr. Carter really listens to what your needs and expectations are and creates an extremely comprehensive plan to meet your goals (for the perfect smile). He has a wealth of knowledge and explains Everything thoroughly, for those of you who like to know exactly what to expect. Secondly, his staff is the most friendly, professional, knowledgeable staff I have ever encountered- and I have worked in medical field for over a decade. A few other details I greatly appreciate are: the entire office is always pristinely clean and organized. I have been coming here for a few years and have never waited even 5 minutes for my appointment time. They clearly understand how to schedule properly so that there is no waiting, yet you are never rushed- you will be seen thoroughly and your questions will all be answered. I wish I can give the group 10 stars. I am attaching a photo of my smile, we are not quite done yet but the improvements so far have been fantastic. read more

We LOVE coming to Dr. Carter! He is such a kind and genuine man and does great work. His staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The only thing is one time I needed my youngest to come in because she was having pain from the wires. They said "today is for emergencies only." I'm not sure where to start, Chris carter has a wonderful establishment offering much needed service to the people in our community. I thought I was a case that could not be helped. When I went for my consultation I finally received the information and assistance needed to improve the condition of my teeth and confidence. The most friendly and educated, professional staff members inhibit south oc ortho office. They make you feel at ease and in good hands. I want to give extra thanks to Alexis and Kristie for offering a consistent client experience and warm welcome to patients. My treatment is sill in progress But the results don't lie. The last visit my photos were generated from the before affect and I hardly recognized those teeth. Since I've started as a patient here, my jaw is comfortable because of the improved bite and alignment. Years of discomfort and lack of self confidence are finally diminishing, and I owe it all to the friendly and knowledgable members at south oc. If you are in need of corrective dental work. We are in the beginning stages of the orthodontics process and couldn't be happier with Dr. Carter's office. Each visit has been greeted by a warm and friendly staff, a very brief waiting time, tons of information and clear to-dos. Dr. Carter himself is kind, easy to talk with and truly makes you feel like and individual, not just another patient. The office is clean and run like a well oiled machine!
