Friends of the Keller Library is actually a nonprofit that benefits the local library. Most of the books they sell were donated by people or other stores, and all the profits from the sales go back to supporting the library next door. I've been to other similar stores around the state and was pleasantly surprised at how organized this one is. The volunteers working there were also very friendly and helpful. I also like that they had a station with complimentary coffee for customers. They didn't have the largest selection of books, but the children's section was really nice so I would definitely recommend this place for families. Last but not least, they also had free magazines towards the back of the store which I thought would be great for school projects or vision boards.

This bookstore is located in the Fort Worth area and has a nice selection of books for all ages. I actually think their children section is much larger compared to other stores, which I think is perfect for families. Personally I prefer fantasy/fiction books and that specific selection was much smaller compared to other stores, however they had some of the most popular titles. Besides books, they have a nice selection of stationary items, puzzles and other games. They definitely had some very unique finds I hadn't seen anywhere else. Last but not least, they do have a rewards program and for every $100 you spend you get credit to your next purchase which I thought was pretty nice and a good incentive to support local businesses. They were having an amazing sale so I splurged and got a TON of stuff! (see below) I was driving through Fort Worth during spring break so I asked about local pickup to save on shipping and Amy was super nice about it, saying that local pickup is actually an option they regularly offer. She even helped me get an item that I wanted that was listed as out of stock on the website! When I arrived at the location for pickup, Michael was just as nice as Amy had been. My haul.... *a "starter kit" (I am so not a starter, but couldn't resist) containing about 9 pens with single tip on one end and a variety of different sized tips on the other, a palette of wax, 5 small green trays, 1 small white tray with spout, baggies, a blue tray and penholder, stickers, a grouping of small plastic bins, all neatly held in a large plastic storage back (think pencil holder). *6 large white trays with removeable dam *and a hard plastic tube to protect my WIPs when I take them places with me. (this color was out of stock online but Amy knew they had one left and held it for me- she was able to give me a direct invoice for my entire purchase so I could get the teal one)

You can use a thin "pen" to pick up diamond pieces one at a time or you can use a thicker pen to quickly drop lots of pieces. I prefer the thick pens. The art isn't limited to just making a picture look great. There are notebooks, greeting cards, jewelry, bookmarks and so much more. This store is going to have classes as they expand. The rolling tube that holds the artwork is one of a kind. The warehouse was sold out of them during my visit.

I ended up buying an ACOTAR book vase that was a pretty decent deal. I also got a strawberry matcha that I destroyed in 10 minutes, it was heavenly. I went on a Saturday but the booksellers were so attentive. The vase I picked was a display and they immediately approached me and offered to box it up and keep it at the counter for me so I could continue to shop. And the bathrooms are a must visit. I know this is a silly statement but they are themed and so cute. I wish I took pictures of it. I would 100% recommend!! Prices vary from average bookstores to slightly more but I would definitely pay the extra dollar or so to support an independent bookstore! :)

The bathrooms are fun and themed around some well-known, timeless authors. The coffee shop had a delicious selection of popular, fun lattes like the Banana Nut Bread latte and a Coconut Cold Brew. The bookstore itself is spacious, yet still has a cozy corner vibe, with a beautiful brick wall where I could sit, read, and get lost in a book for hours. A dream store brought to life thanks to two close friends. Such a fun place to visit while in Grapevine, Texas. This will definitely be on my must-visit list every time I come back from Cali.
