I reached out to Mama Connies via Yelp messenger 48 hours prior to the party and Amanda quickly responded and tried her best to accommodate me with my short request. They specialize in vegan lumpia (fried egg rolls), but also offer other traditional Filipino dishes such as sisig. Their lumpia is literally freshly fried to order, and I was impressed with how thin, flaky and perfectly fried the wrapper was while being completely stuffed with high quality tofu and jackfruit fillings. Honestly, these might be some of the best vegan lumpia/eggrolls I've ever had especially for the price point, and I've also heard their frozen products cook and taste the same at home. I did wish that they provided a bit more sauce, but maybe that's something you can go back and ask for. Definitely check them out and support a small, Asian woman owned business!

The Kare kare was mostly dry beef and cabbage. It tasted like it was about to go bad. It had a slight sour taste. Everyone ate but hardly any went back for seconds.
