When I pulled in in front, I opened my app and place the order in the app. I waited a couple of minutes and then proceeded into the store. I decided to get something to drink and picked up two bottles of Sprite because it was two for $4.50. A little pricey for a gas station but still doable. I was able to pay for my sandwich and sodas at the register and picked up my food in the mobile pick up area. It was actually ready before the time that was suggested. This worked out fine for me. I was able to get in and out of the store quickly and ended up with a satisfying sandwich from them. I would definitely stop through here again if I was passing through the area.

Review for Virtual Tasting:…read more My college alumni organization hosted a tasting event run by Ricardo at Cao. It was quite a delight. The chocolate was quite good, the brownie was meh, and the overall experience was fantastic.

Now, let's get to the good stuff. My absolute favorite chocolate bar was the White Chocolate Raspberry, which had real pieces of dried raspberry in it. The quality of all of the chocolate I tried was hands down, one of the smoothest and best chocolate I've had in a while. Additionally, some of the dark chocolate was dairy free and vegan, which is a plus for those with sensitivities or allergies.

I really wanted to keep supporting this place. What turned me off was the experience with the guy at the counter during my last visit. He made a sly little remark assuming I wasn't Haitian. I let him continue thinking that because I wanted to see where the interaction was going. My first two visits were with a female employee, and everything was pleasant, so this immediately rubbed me the wrong way. After I paid and was waiting for my food, I happened to look back at the menu before leaving and realized he charged me $5 more than what my order should've cost. I was in a rush and didn't have time to stop and argue about it, but I definitely noticed. And before anybody says it was a mistake , I know Haitian culture VERY well. I also know that overcharging people who are assumed to be tourists or people who don't speak Creole is unfortunately not some rare thing. So this felt intentional to me. That's what makes this so disappointing because the food is honestly so good. But no food is good enough for dishonesty. I truly wish the restaurant success because people's livelihoods depend on these businesses doing well, but that guy at the counter is going to drive customers away.
