It turned out she was out of office so that was a very good reason however, someone should have been responding in her absence. Then recently, we had a dire need for a prescription renewal. It. We had to resort to contacting another doctor to renew the thyroid medication as we were now completely out. It seems to be a lapse in commutation from the portal messages to the doctor and visa versa. We are greatly disappointed and pray this type of service does not happen to anyone else.

Although, I have had to follow up with a call to her team a few times, I am convinced it is a processing, workflow issue that Dignity as well as my previous provider, needs to address, not De Ansari! If I had the power, I would make the "process" of referrals, documentation, follow up, etc. smoother via better training. Until then, I decided to be my own advocate in order to keep this wonderful doctor. I will never return to Dr. Nelsen's office. I had been a patient there for about 1 year when I…read morereceived a bill for $103 relating to a routine office visit 8 months earlier. I had made my co-pay at the time of the appointment and did not know what the additional charge was for but assumed there had been a billing error with my insurance. I immediately called the third party billing company and left a voicemail including all of my personal and insurance information. I also left a message for Dr. Nelsen's office manager and never received a return call from anyone. About 30 days later I received a letter stating that Dr. Nelsen, "...will be unable to provide any further services until payment is received. This includes office visits, phone calls, prescription renewals, etc." I found this note to be outrageous. I had only received 1 bill prior and my messages were not returned. I called and left a message this time stating that I needed to cancel my upcoming well exam because I had received a letter that Dr. Nelsen was no longer willing to provide me medical care. One of the ladies from the front office called me back and was quite hostile and defensive and told me how wrong I was (e.g., I had not left any messages because she said their office manager always returns her phone calls and that Dr. Nelsen does not treat her patients poorly even though I felt this letter was just such an example). She said she would call the third party biller to get more information and before I could say thank you, she slammed the phone down. The third party biller called me a few minutes later and confirmed that my insurance had requested additional information regarding the appointment but no one had followed up. She said they would follow up now and no amounts were owed by me. Duh!! This was just an awful customer service experience. If you are going to suspend someone from getting medical care, you better be sure you have your facts straight. And if a patient calls and is upset about receiving such an upsetting letter, you need to be kind, listen and try to help, not escalate the situation by pointing the finger back at the patient and accuse them of lying.

From the attendants to the nurse practitioners Manager was attentive and caring the first visit when our son was not agreeable to go in to the appt She came out to the parking area and gently suggested he give them the opportunity to care for his wound. They even brought an attendant with a wheelchair and two helpers to attend to his need. Thank you each and all as this wound has been deep and stubborn to heal correctly and healthfully.
