NO INFORMATION GIVEN ABOUT WHEN SPECIFICALLY TO TAKE THE BOWEL PREP.

My PCP referred me to this clinic because I suspect I have some GI issue, so they scheduled me for a colonoscopy for 5/24. They emailed me some instructions to follow for bowel prep the day before my procedure. They prescribed me this giant jug of liquid called gavilyte-g. The instructions were unclear and vague, saying I needed to take a total of 24 pills with water (but the email didn't specify what pills???), there was never any mention of the giant jug of gavilyte liquid, so when the clinic called to confirm my appointment, I asked them what the email meant about the pills, because all I received from the pharmacy was the gavilyte fluid. They then said I needed to go purchase OUT OF POCKET, dulcolax laxatives, and take 24 of them. Okay, fine, I bought the pills, and since the email made no mention of the gavilyte liquid (and the clinic staff didn't tell me what to do with it), I just assumed that I was supposed to drink it with the pills. Which leads me to my next problem: the clinic never ever told me a time frame for the bowel prep -- the email just says "DAY 1, take the pills with water". No specific time frame at all, and the staff never called to tell me there was a time frame. So I figured that must mean on Day 1, I wake up in the morning and start the bowel prep -- makes sense to me! I was never told otherwise. Wrong, I guess. When the surgery center nurse called to confirm my appointment the morning before the procedure, I asked her about my nose piercing because she said I had to remove jewelry -- to which she replied that I should go to a piercing store that same day and have it removed. I laughed and said "are you serious? how am i supposed to do that if i've already taken the bowel prep?" then she asked me why i took the bowel prep. I replied "because the instructions said to take it??" she then tries to argue with me and said i didn't follow the instructions and apparently i wasn't supposed to take the bowel prep until at least 5PM, so I pulled up the email and read it to her. all it says is DAY 1 - NO TIME FRAME was mentioned. She suggested I call Dr. Davidson's office and ask them what to do, and whether or not they think the appointment should be cancelled. I called the main office like 15 times and these dimwits never ever picked up the phone or called me back. The only time they called me was to confirm my appointment for like a 3rd time (unfortunately I missed their call because I was having explosive diarrhea). So I left them multiple voicemails and called them over and over to tell them they gave me the wrong instructions, and nothing in return. Your clinic sucks, your receptionist staff need to learn how to actually answer the phone when a patient is struggling and OWN UP TO YOUR HORRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS.

You don't see the doctor, you get the assistant who is on her phone the entire time. Asks the same question nearly 5 times and yelled at us.

You don't see the doctor, you get the assistant who is on her phone the entire time. Asks the same question nearly 5 times and yelled at us every time she spoke. After the colonoscopy procedure, after nothing being solved, we were sent home and never received any treatment EVER!! Dr. Davidson just wants to do the tests to get paid after he's done, he sends you home and tells you to eat healthier instead of giving you treatment or a diagnosis.

I had grown up with GI problems, in fact I remember my first issues at age 8. It was just another thing I had two deal with, but in my 40's things got much worse and could not be ignored anymore. At 45 I first sought help for my persistent left sided pain and I was told It was a muscle pull: over the years as my pain and dysfunction got worse I had multiple short term diagnoses, with antibiotic treatments and multiple food restriction diets that I tried out to help my symptoms: it was first diagnosed as a UTI, diverticulitis, kidney infection, possible endometriosis or prolapse. It was incredibly frustrating to have severe symptoms, debilitating pain, and confusion about what was causing the issues for over five years. I would get better for a short time with antibiotics but the debilitating pain would return. In 2023 I literally did all my studying and reading laying down. I was in so much pain it was hard for me to sit for more than twenty minutes. At my annual exam my gynecologist read my CT scan and said he thought I had a severe constipation problem. This proved to be a breakthrough but it took a couple more years to really get to the bottom of this problem. Pardon the pun. Miralax alone wasn't cutting it. A couple of prescriptions for abdominal spasms helped, but not consistently. I was a bit hopeful but resigned to perhaps not getting a solution to my issues. I had learned to live with the constraints- scheduling my day and life around the GI problems that seems to take over my life. Dr. Dhillon came into the exam room and was positive and energetic. He reviewed my colonoscopy report and explained I had a functional problem but not structural; that I had essentially what is known as IBS-M (problems with both constipation and diarrhea). He gave me great and concise dietary guidance regarding fiber, hydration, recommended probiotics and then prescribed a GI motility agent which my insurance had denied with a previous provider. I first had a 30 day sample and reported how much better I was doing. Somehow Dr. Dhillon got my insurance to cover it. Almost four months into the regime, the combination of medication and attention to my lifestyle, diet, and stress levels proved to be a miraculous aid in my recovery. It has been a long journey to get here and I don't doubt there will be more bumps In the road but for the first time in over five years I am regaining energy, enjoying life without severe abdominal pain, and starting to look forward to the future and making plans...instead of just enduring life. What a tremendous difference Dr. Dhillon has made in my life, and I'm sure in many other patients. A true gift to the people who are struggling with health challenges.
