Been dealing with him ever since I moved to Roseville a year and a half ago and he is by far the…read moreworst doctor I've ever had to work with. incredibly combative and dismissive, huge ego that gets bruised easily by a woman daring to ask questions that he perceives undermines his authority and expertise (even though he's been wrong 99% of the time, but he never admits to that when I come back with findings from hospitals and specialists), and he's so lazy! Just pushes you off to specialists you can't see for six months and then when you get there they're annoyed with you because he should have been handling it, apparently. He rarely even references the correct notes during our visits. He might be better for men (but I wouldn't trust his medical opinion because he states hunches as facts far too often for a medical setting) but if you're a woman LEAVE. Never anything illegal but he's a misogynist for sure. literally looks at my partner the whole time as if HE handles my medical care because I'm just a stupid woman. I've addressed that and he doesn't even apologize or course correct. The man also thinks everyone is med seeking. He has "refused" to prescribe me pain medication at every visit despite the fact that I've never once asked him for any. I have gastrointestinal issues, that isn't going to help me but he's fighting with a ghost every time about it. I don't want your pain meds, my guy. On top of that this man will blame literally anything on your weight. Liver disease? Fat. Headaches? Fat. Oh you have appendicitis that I didn't diagnose and had to be caught by the ER? FAT!!!! Lol mind you, I'm only slightly obese. This man is acting like I'm on that my 500 pound life TV show and it's the root of every illness I have. I feel like I could tell him I have a toothache and he would tell me it's because I'm fat. Meanwhile I'm in crippling pain and can barely get out of bed because of my gastro issues and he's telling me to get my fatass out of bed and get a gym membership. Yeah doc, ok. Great doctor if your overbearing and offensive grandmother died and you miss being berated by her at every family reunion. Same vibe. If you actually want help, avoid him like the plague. I've been advised by multiple hospital doctors and now two specialists to report him and change physicians and the most recent told me doctors have Yelp and I should utilize that to help others. I will be taking all of my concerns to his office and filing a report and taking it as far as I can go because he HAS been incredibly negligent with a case marked as urgent so that's enough but I do want the rest of the Roseville girlies to know to avoid this man! If you get assigned, switch before it's too late because he's going to start writing up referrals that take weeks to months and you can't change doctors without nullifying those referrals. that's the only reason I've had to deal with him for so long by my last referral is almost complete and then I'm switching ASAP.

Dr. Talya is our second pediatric GI and we are so glad we switched! Our previous doctor, in our…read moreopinion, talked at us using big words with minimal opportunities to clarify our understanding, leaving us with as many questions as we had answers. We decided to take the leap and work with Dr. Talya and our experience has been nothing short of excellent. Dr. Talya's bedside manner not only answers our questions in a comprehensible way, he helps our son feel involved in the conversation and makes him feel comfortable during visits. Our family had a job change necessitating a new insurance plan. Before we even accepted the position, we made sure we could keep our son under Dr. Talya's care! When your family has long term medical needs it's so nice to have a doctor's office on your side. Dr. Talya's office staff have a strong sense of communication and will call back every time we have a question, and followed up for nearly 2 weeks when our insurance was giving us the run around. If I could give ten stars I would!

You feel like family the moment you enter. **MAJOR PROS (unbeatable in my opinion) Parking: The building is easy to enter, parking literally 15 feet away, no complicated entrance. Appointments: Calls are direct, no call center or answering service. **The Doctor: Dr Talya is everything one hopes for in a Peds physician but rarely ever finds. Compassionate, yet firm, knowledgable, overqualified and open minded to anything and everything that helps his patience. I honestly cannot say enough about the office and this doctor. The office: It's sparkling clean, like a dental office, bright and child friendly, with lots of things to keep the kiddos busy during the short wait. All-in-all. I would def recommend Nor Cal Pedicatric GI.

I was recommended by someone to go to this doctor because he had said he had already went over my…read morecondition and concern and that he would except me as a patient and be able to treat me. When I went inside with my concern, however, he had changed his mind because supposedly he didn't understand what exactly I was asking for even though I had made sure and ask multiple times if he was able to go over my hormonal concerns. I went in heavily convinced I had PCOS and I wanted to do hormone testing and take estrogen and testosterone blockers for the PCOS that has severely affected my appearance and made me look masculine, and he had denied and dismissed, and I believe it has to do with being a "cis" woman or some sort. I had asked if I can get testing and they were seemly nothing wrong however, when I went to another doctor, they have had diagnosed me with something I knew I had and had to confirmed my fears and confirms that my testosterone was too high and estrogen was too low. And that there was no problem with taking estrogen and testosterone blockers as a "cis" woman. I am only severely annoyed that it took me so long to get help because I dismissed it as having no problem because the doctor dismissed my problem as well and I go to another doctor and find out that not only do I have the health issue. I had always believe I had, but I was also able to take the solution I wanted and needed without any problem. So pretty much he was very dismissive of my issues and brush them to the side and seem to be very stoic in the face of my many troubles and concerns that were heavily affecting self-esteem and told me that it would be better for me to see counseling versus getting the actual help that I needed. He also lied and said that there was nothing different in my appearance, even though the many doctors who I went to after had noticed how different I look prior to my PCOS diagnosis I feel he lied because he just did not see the importance of my problems because I was not a transgender patient, but a cis woman facing similar desires to look "feminine" & heal my hormonal imbalance. It was very disappointing. He didn't ask for the testing or didn't seem really interested in helping me, but just brushed it off and told me the best thing I could do was to get therapy and counseling for self-esteem issues versus further looking into my very real & valid health concerns. I did not at all feel cared nor heard nor seen by this doctor and I felt lied to and beyond disappointed with the care I had received which was little to zero, very little to none. The best decision I had was going to a Doctor Who actually cared and actually listened and he wanted to get to the bottom of my diagnosis versus just push me to side. Please do not waste your time.
