Unlike a lot of the other Migros, this one not only has the self check out machines, but also the scanner so you can see exactly what you've bought, how much you are spending, and how much you are saving while you shop. Then just return the scanner and pay at a kiosk. So efficient and convenient. Light years ahead of the rest of them! Another reason why Kreis 5 is the best place to live in Zürich.

I'm not sure about the price vs. quality but you can find just about everything including bag, clothes, etc. Other than that, most items are what you can find at other regular Migros. It is not a big Denner, but for me they have enough products and I find everything I need. I like the energy-drinks they have and also the beer offers.Check it out. An excellent artisanal brunch in a mellow setting…read more Three of us shared two house-made granola's with yogurt and a Justus Brunch: hot drink, juice, rolls, butter & jam, cheese, sliced aged meats, and eggs (we chose scrambled). The granola & yogurt was excellent (especially the fresh fruit), the eggs fluffy, the cheeses ranging from almost runny to very sharp (there was some debate among the waitstaff as to whether we'd gotten the Sbrinz or Gruyère). In addition, the atmosphere was homey and relaxed --- we felt like we were family friends visiting an old farmhouse, rather than waiting in line for an upholstered booth. The front half of the shop sells most of the same food and ingredients (including real molasses, as opposed to the corn syrup "molasses spread" at some grocery stores). We did notice some of the veggie bins didn't look to have very high turnover --- be sure to check your produce.

They usually have one meal with meat and one vegeterian option. Always a daily soup which you may buy to go. They also sell small bakery goods such as cakes, tartes or bagels. They use interesting ingredients, such as brie with some sort of fruit or scamorzza cheese with carrots or beef roast, and much more. They seem to have vegan options, too. Today it was a sandwich with hummus spread. So there is coffee, there is food, nice staff, everything is sustainable but thats not the end of the list yet: the MAGAZINES!!! It is very dangerous for me to sit down and grab a magazine. Because they have a fantastic selection of brain food such as Swiss magazines, newspapers and I always feel tempted to bing read. I just realised: still not the end of the list! There is free wifi. Yes, the world is a good place to live in. STOP! Considering the fact that there are not many decent restaurants in Kloten this might be a savior if you want to bring something to your hotel room for a late night snack. This supermarket is about the third the size of a U.S. supermarket but they had an excellent chocolates section, fresh meat, terrific looking produce and they save me with ready-made salads. The cashiers and employees were extremely helpful and if you were not able to make it to the confectionery store this lace will do in a pinch. If you want to, perhaps bring salami, salad and a bottle of Pellegrino (very cheap) to your room "just in case" (as I am prone to do) this is the place.

There's also fresh or refrigerated things --- a few boxes of veggies, a small meat case, and a sizable cheese case (we are in Switzerland, after all). You won't find everything you need for the week, but what they have is good. The other thirds is a mix of organic cotton shirts, handknit wool hats, artsy greeting cards, and wooden children's toys. Nice little cottage industry. When I say cute, that's only inside (on the right side of the heavy glass windows) --- outside, you're right on the central intersection at Meierhofplatz. Get your bags and wallet sorted before you head out the door, because the busses take the corner a bit tight.
