Update: Some things have changed and I am taking off a star. The appearance of a "tip bowl" is offensive in a place where customers order at a counter, pick up ther own food and bus their own tables. I am also disturbed when the person preparing my meal has super-long glittery fingernails. I still enjoy TexMex but will probably try to branch out and find another place. read more

I was craving for a burrito and decided to try Chorizo near my house. I usually go to Mucho Burrito but decided to give this place a try. I walked in and all the doors were opens so there was mosquitos everywhere. It's no wonder there was mosquitos. The tables were dirty and didn't look like it was wiped and there were metal trays stacked above the garage bin and no one bothered cleaning it. The place was empty when I got there. The guy took my order and didn't have enough money in the til to give me change. So I waited 5 mins while he went to the back to get change. As I waiting I watch all the mosquitoes flying on top of the tortilla that's lying open. I was regretting my decision as I was standing there. I felt weird asking for my money back so I just went ahead and waited for my burrito to be made. The guy went and took the tortilla that was lying there. The same tortilla that I saw mosquitoes having a field day on. I had to tell him I want the tortilla in the plastic bag not the one lying there. If I didn't see it I was sure he would of gave that piece to me. He lifted the covers of the toppings and it looked like the toppings were sitting there for awhile. The guacamole looks brownish and so does the corn and lettuce. I was contemplating what I should put in the burrito so that I don't get sick after eating it. I ordered steak and he told be they make it fresh. I looked over and I see him taking out a already cooked steak and refried it. The steak tasted tough and the toppings did not taste fresh. However I did give them one star for the burrito not coming apart at all. I definitely will not be coming back ever! read more

if i could give no stars i would ! Don't eat here they served us raw...yes RAW chicken and the guy behind the counter couldn't have cared less , i told him stop serving customers as all the meat in the large tub of chicken is now contaminated ! He said no, no ,no.....thank you come again in a thick Indian accent, at least he was polite...........food inspection agency needs to check this place out !!!!! read more

I really wanted to like this place, but the service is God awful. It should not take 20+mins for an order to process. Noticeably there was a lack of kitchen staff, and instead of fulfilling food orders, the operator decided it would be best to take more orders rather than help out the one staff actually preparing the food. read more

One of the better places to get some fast Mexican food. I love how everything is prepared fresh and cooked in front of you like the chicken, steak and shrimp rather then have it sitting around on the hot table. They have 2 options of beans, many options of hot sauce and many options of salsas. They are also licenced which I'm not sure if other places are. The only thing I would say for today is the burrito was a bit bland, I don't know if it was a off day but next time I would ask for more hot sauce and more burrito sauce. read more

Customer Service is absolutely terrible. Blamed Uber Eats for delivering very cold food 30 mins late. This after I called the restaurant directly to ensure that food would be freshly made. I drove to the restaurant and Spoke with the owner as well as the staff and both were rude and not willing to provide hot and fresh food. I decided to leave the food. Absolutely a horrible experience. There are much better burrito/Mexican options in Burlington. Will not be back and suggest that you do the same. read more

So many fresh options.... Mango salsa, corn salsa, grilled veggies instead of beans. What a difference toppings make. This is the best burrito I have had in a while. I love this place. And the portions! Come hungry. read more

Contacted Chorizo for a catered work lunch for 20+ people. Contact and ordering was easy (taco bar). Delivery was on time and professional. Food was VERY fresh, and VERY generous. A huge hit with our staff! Will definitely order from Chorizo again in the future! read more

I've been in a few times since they've opened and while the food is pretty good, the service and demeanor of the staff is abysmal. They almost come across as annoyed that you're there spending money. They won't last at this rate. This would be a 4 star if not for the poor service. read more

As I came online to write this review I noticed the other review. They are RIGHT. The food is pretty good but the staff is RUDE. It was my first time in and I wanted to order the tacos, and asked if I could do different meats on each taco (they come in sets of two). I wanted shrimp (which is more expensive) and chicken, and asked if I could just pay the shrimp price and sub chicken for one of my shrimp tacos. The older lady in the rudest tone (she is THE RUDEST, and I assume she is the manager, since all inquiries were directed to her), said "well then we'd have half a chicken breast" as if I owed her the right of spending my money in her establishment. (Apparently they cook one chicken breast per set of tacos and cannot possibly use a leftover half for another set). Re their substitution policies being archaic, it's whatever, I mean it's clear that Chipotle's awesome assembly line wasn't in their business study case, but her tone was SO rude. The poor young lady who was serving me was so apologetic - I feel sorry for her working for someone so rude. Then the same young lady forgot to put the guac I paid for on my tacos and I asked if I could just pay for an order of chips instead so I'd have guac on the side, the older lady turned and told her to just put my guac on the side (with no chips) and was SO dismissive. Honestly, I'm never going back, even though the food is good and they are so close to my house. I'd rather drive to the Oakville location. They will be out of business very soon if they keep that older lady interacting with customers on ANY level. RUDE RUDE RUDE. read more
