I have never been to Kingsville and was only passing through at lunch time and glad Yelp lead me to the place. I had the Egg Rolls, Soft Shell Crab, and Triple Delight. It as all great the authentic made to order fresh Chinese food. The Egg Rolls were some the the best I have had. This place satisfies my Chinese food cravings especially since options in Kingsville are so limited when it comes to Asian food. They do sell Japanese entrees + sushi rolls so I'm glad there's a variety! But I have to question the quality of the fish. It's a hit or miss depending on what roll you get. My go-to order would probably be the hot & sour soup (good for the cold weather), chicken & broccoli (so juicy & saucy), & their crab rangoons (crispy & filling.) Each of their entrees come with a side order of your choice of rice so that's a plus. Whether it's lunch special Kung Pao chicken and sushi, or a dinner with a large group, the service and quality of feed has been very good. Certainly a upscale Asian restaurant. The physical part is nice with comfortable tables and chairs and a muted but definitely Asian decor. I had a tofu dish. Unfortunately the only other veggies in the dish were frozen peas and carrots. I'm guessing since it was about 2:30, the kitchen was short of fresh stuff. However, my wife got the crab puffs and they were delicious. All in all will I go back to give it another shot? I will. read more

Been a loyal customer for the last 6 years but will not go back there. We order last night for dinner. While eating one of my children noticed the general tso chicken was pink. At that point our younger child already ate her chicken and my husband at half of his. My husband checked his chicken that was on his plate and it was pink. They put whatever was left on their plate into the container to go return. There was well over half of the initial serving. When I went to return for a refund they refused my refund bc it was eaten. I explained the chicken was pink. They offered to make new General tso right now or to give me $5. Both of these options were not acceptable to me. We don't want more chicken, everyone was grossed out and scared to eat it now. The compromise was to return $8 to us, after back and forth. Both my husband and young child are now sick and been up all night with stomach issues. When my husband called the lady on the phone made the excuse that the cook was new. For the most part when people think of Chinese food the first thing that comes to mind is all you can eat, well not here it's by the plate. The plates are well plated and you can taste the freshness as well as the "just made". As you walk in the place it is well kept and clean...a real relaxing atmosphere not the kind you find at the all you can eat. Service was descent but the one thing that kept me thinking was trying to read the menu. It offers so much variety and combinations you really need to know what you want to order. Hopefully the next time I will try the sushi as it looks real fresh and well played. All in all I will be returning back for another visit and another crack at the menu. read more

I used to love this place but I don't know what the deal is.. this last time the staff were short with us rude almost they had kids running around like crazy, yelling.. the egg rolls were solid cabbage and a touch of bacon bits nothing else, the soup was almost jelly like and I had to raise my hand for several minutes in HOPES of even getting the attention of the servers, I was so excited about this meal and it was a total disappointment due to crap service. Since I live in Alice, It is the closest place that serves delicious sushi rolls. So, I have gone to Chopstix many times to eat their Sushi and Miso Soup. They got nice sushi bar where you can sit down and watch staff makes sushi rolls. The staff was very kind, friendly and willing to serve you free samples. They got the Mongolian Bar where you can choose your combination plate of fresh vegetables, shrimp, chicken or beef meats and flavor sauce. Then you bring that plate to the cook to fry them. Very good Mongolian plate. The environment inside the restaurant is relaxing and quiet. Some sections is filled with oriental arts and signs. The place is clean and roomy. Every time I've eaten here I've gotten sick. I always thought it was maybe just me and wrong timing. This place has a rat and roach infestation. Had it confirmed by two different pest control companies when this place was randomly brought up. The only reason they're busy now a days is because of the business next door with all their vehicles so it looks like this place is poppin all the time now. In my opinion, this is the best Asian restaurant that Kingsville has. The atmosphere can be a little dark, as some of the lights are out, but the food is actually good. My favorite dish is the sweet and sour chicken with white rice. The chicken comes out fresh from the fryer. All the soups (Egg drop, Miso, Wonton, etc.) are also very good. Their sushi is quite phenomenal considering Kingsville doesn't have a large sushi demand. You MUST try the American Dream Roll- no doubts about that. I've been here a few times considering it's one of the very few Chinese restaurants in Kingsville. It's not bad but not amazing, it's just okay. The lemon chicken is pretty plain and not very great, but their fried rice entree (without vegetables, they mix lettuce and bean sprouts with it, which I like but it doesn't go well with this entree) is pretty decent. We live in Brownsville and travel frequently to the Austin area. We just happened to have a wedding to attend in Kingsville and were hungry afterward and found this restaurant via Yelp. Expectations were low; it is genuinely difficult to find good Chinese food in The Valley and I expected more of the same in Kingsville. My wife is Taiwanese, and we've lived all over, cook Chinese food at home, so I'll admit we are picky. What a pleasant surprise! You can tell a great deal about a Chinese place by how they do their soups. The hot and sour was not the gloppy, drab, held-too-long slop that is so common. It was bright, fresh, and delicious. They have a special house noodle dish I inquired about and it was described as having curry so I asked if it was similar to Singapore noodles, a favorite of ours. Our waitress said it was, so that was half of our order. The other was ma po tofu, which is another staple dish of all Chinese restaurants that revels how much they care about the food they serve. The noodles were terrific with just the right amount of spice and heat to be enjoyable without overwhelming the flavors of the meat and veggies. The ma po tofu included minced meat of some sort;my wife was pretty sure it was minced BBQ pork. It was also outstanding. We've all but given up having Chinese "out" in the Valley, but now we have a place to stop on our way to and from Austin! We look forward to trying other items from their menu.
