a close up of a plate of food

I've never left a food review, I can say this place is horrible. The lady that was working there was so rude, this place is so disgusting dirty. I will Never go back,no wonder they are a number #9 on the list.

How many times in your life will you get Chinese food for $1.75 a scoop?!?! This place is bomb despite the negative reviews. Sure it's a bit run down but they serve pretty good Americanized Chinese food. The lo mein is garlicky home made and the hot sour soup is amazing. I see that the orange chicken is fresh and the seasame chicken. The beef and broccoli sauce is darker than what I am used to but it's also good as well. Shoot even the vegetable fried rice. Come try it! :) open on Christmas Day

Chopstix Express- Grand Junction, CO - This is what $5.40 buys!

I kept myself away because of the price. But, eventually, I caved. I was right, it was j as I expected. Bland and cheap. I ordered an unlabeled peppered chicken "scoop" on white rice with egg drop soup and a fountain Diet Coke. Pretty basic and a good safe bet on tradional items. My egg drop soup was bland, needed something, I just couldn't put my finger on it. It looked right, that odd ever so yellow hue with stringy wispy organic shapes. Maybe as cheap as they are, they leave out the salt on purpose? Possible cutting corner technique? I did not get white rice, instead I was given a yellow attempt of fried rice which tasted exactly like rice with a carrot, a few peas and an egg chunk. To finish it off, my DC tasted terrible as if it was diluted or the syrup to carbonated water ratio was off. Once I dosed up my chicken dish with soy sauce, it actually tasted alright. Something else very bothersome. The plastic utensils are "midget" or "small persons" sized. I felt like I was eating at a tea party, with my pinky up. I wasn't really with midgets at a tea party, but I sure felt like I was. As I sat eating over 30 minutes from 1:00p to 1:30p, only four people picked up to-go orders. I was the lonely dining customer. I'm not really sure I will come back. The bar has been dropped, to the floor maybe. As for what I paid? I guess I got exactly what I paid for; $5.40 worth.

For a place tucked away on the Western Slope, the quality, consistency, and friendliness have always felt like a hidden gem. Over the years we've dined in and done plenty of takeout, and the food has almost always been flavorful, hot, and comforting. Favorites like the sweet-and-sour chicken, lo mein, Mongolian beef, soups, and egg rolls have been reliably delicious, and the staff has consistently been warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You really feel that family-run pride when you walk in -- from the calm atmosphere to how quickly and thoughtfully everything is served. Like many longtime customers, we've noticed a few changes recently with ownership and packaging, and on a couple of visits the portions or consistency didn't feel quite as strong as they used to be. That said, we truly believe this place still has the heart, recipes, and potential that made it such a favorite for so many years -- and we're rooting for them. Running a small restaurant today is no easy task, and we appreciate the effort that goes into keeping a local business alive and thriving. Dragon Treasure is still a place we happily recommend to friends passing through town, and we'll continue supporting them. With a little fine-tuning, it has all the ingredients to remain one of Fruita's best comfort-food spots for many years to come. A genuinely good local restaurant run by kind people -- and definitely worth stopping in for.

Always a great experience!…read more I heard this place got a new owner, so I was really excited to try it and see if any of the recipes have changed. I got it to go because I was meeting my friend for a catch up! I got the sweet-and-sour chicken with fried rice. It tasted how it normally does so I don't think anything changed which is good for me because I love the flavors that the original recipes have. The crunchiness of the chicken with the sweet and savory of the sauce. Always a great go to choice. I definitely love this place and I'm very excited that the recipe did not change so I will for sure be going back next time. I'm in town!

Quick rating: Interior Space & Design: they really spent the effort giving this place a modern clean appeal, everything was glistening and bright. Service: servers were quick to take order Menu: on an island like Grand Junction, to have so much variety is shocking, they have Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese the whole shabang! Food: ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, enjoyed it, but wish it had less peanuts, no water chestnuts, no carrots, and would just stick to scallions, red dry chilli peppers and Chinese Worcestershire sauce. Ordered the hot and sour soup, Amen, had a tough week, caught a cold, and coming into town for several hours of layover, this soup really does the trick. Ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls, on there I'm going to give 'em a 3/5 stars because the soy wrap was a bit too hard to chew. Ordered the Mongolian Beef a little on the saltier side, give it a 3.5/5, still enjoyed it with some rice, I was hungry. So, overall score 4/5; is it worth stopping by if you are in town? A definite yes, with all the variety, you have a one stop shop to select the Asian dish that you've been craving for that week.
