The quality and freshness are stellar, my wife and I brought macarons home that we purchased Friday morning, they weren't sampled until approx 36 hours later surviving the trip from Cannes to NJ. My daughter whom we bought them for was ecstatic. I noticed many locals purchasing treats and bread so I believe my wife and I chose the right store. There are a bunch of delicious looking candies and cookies that are enticing even to me, who doesn't have a sweet tooth. Everything is beautifully displayed and plastic gloves are available for the customers to handle the merchandise. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Everything you buy is put into beautiful tin boxes or cans. All of this come at a price; things in this little shop are not cheap.

Fortunately, Pierre Herme still sells their macarons at Nice Airport. Though I am skeptical about buying macarons at the airport, after buying a bad batch of macarons (not from Pierre Herme) once before a flight.
