The salsas, moles, chocolates, etc. are local and mostly organic (whether it is certified or not) and are made by the people in the community. The service was amicable and the shopkeeper, I forgot her name (sorry!), was terrific. She was very personable and gave great suggestions for food items once you told her your food preferences. She allowed my husband and I to try a lot of products so that we ultimately​ bought what we liked. The location is central as it is near the​ center of town. I highly recommend​ you go in and sample the genuinely delicious​ Oaxacan delicacies. Tips- Bring cash for your purchase, or you can use a card if you spend more than $300 MX pesos. ​ Sample everything!

Still tasty, just texturally different. We also got an iced chocolate with water and an iced coffee to try to keep us cool on the hot day outside.
