Chocolate Brothers is one of the many chocolaterie/chocolate shops on Mariastraat (Maria Street) in Brugges. From what they had, I've seen more fun chocolate molding here than some other shops. They're a minute's walk from Onze Lieve Vrouw Brugge (Church of Our Lady Bruges) and Site Oud Sint-Jan, so it's a very convenient spot to pick up some chocolate souvenirs when visiting. You'll have to pack it a bit carefully though, as it's not packed to travel/fly very well.
They are a chocolaterie and went into how they make their own chocolate. I found the number of shapes to differentiate flavors to be a lot of fun. They do things by weight, so heads up on that. Their chocolate rich, not to sugary-sweet, and delicious. If you decide to stop by, be aware that they may be a bit bustling. The two times we passed by the place before deciding to go in ourselves, there were a lot of people, so you'll have to make the decision whether or not you want to risk it if you're on the clock.
And from the experience from the multiple families in our group, even when you think you've bought too much chocolate, it's not actually enough. The chocolate in Belgium is just that good. I would highly recommend buying from multiple stores to try different chocolates and chocolate treats, and this shop would be a place you wouldn't regret buying some at. read more
