This place is an oasis of style and charm and brings a whole vibe to decorating your house that we didn't know we needed until we were there. And to top it all off, Stuart (the owner) and Klaus were just wonderful and friendly and so knowledgeable in helping us choose the right pieces for our new place. We wound up purchasing two leather chairs (that it turns out Stuart helped design!), but we wish we could've bought so much more. The girl working was so friendly, and EVERYTHING IN THE STORE IS CUTE. Everything seemed so well curated. I personally was flocking to all of the jewelry; most (or all?) of it is either locally made or comes from fair trade organizations. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, you name it! There were some body products (like a dreamy cream I put on my hands), handbags, other accessories, and more. I ended up buying a unique necklace, but I seriously wanted one of everything in the store! If I lived in Asheville, this would be my go-to spot when I wanted to treat myself or give a gift along these lines. Since I don't live in Asheville, I'll make it a point to visit next time I'm back in town--and to encourage you to visit!

The customer service was so friendly, and the nice lady working really wanted to connect with us, and also tell more about the artists who made some of the different art. Informative, funny, kind - she was great. I would recommend this to EVERY Asheville tourist looking for something unique to take home, rather than junky trinkets made in China that you can find in every American gift shop.

I am a teacher and have a budget for my classroom and made a horrible mistake by buying a BROKEN desk. I hate LIARS and teach children who have better morals than this store. So disappointed and Nadeau is not a representation of Asheville or the wonderful mountain people.

They not only help struggling villages all over the world but I just love the fact that it is being done right here in Asheville! Try the coffee, it's so good! One child just couldn't handle all the cuteness, he yelled "I want it!" Then promptly had a nuclear-level meltdown. Same, kid, same. I feel you. I scooped up some miniature things, my friend had pens and notecards. Honestly, that kid's mom should have said, "Whist!" which in Irish or Scottish dialects means "Hush!" or "Shut it!" There's so much to see here. This is a fun shop.
