I had dealt with extreme pain and swelling around my old veneers and no one I went to (including the old dentist) had a plan to help me. I wanted to really take my time to review Dr. Patel's team, office and work because I didn't wanna write just something. Here I go: To start with, let me tell you that I've felt ashamed about my smile for my entire life. I'd never smile on pictures, I felt uncomfortable making videos and I totally had bought one of those cheap clip on plastic veneers that I'd use every now and then just to have a bit of a feeling of having a perfect smile (which was obviously not functional tho). I had followed Dr. P's Instagram profile for a long time and one day during the first period of lockdown I saw that they were doing FREE virtual consultations and I thought - why not just get an idea about what it looks like? (Knowing at this time that I probably wouldn't be able to afford it anyway). I did the consultation and I just say I LOVED the energy they transmitted to me. We talked about how it works and how much it costs and at that point I couldn't make a decision just yet. There was a special pricing going on due to Covid-19 and there was a time frame to pay a small deposit amount to ensure that pricing. But still I just didn't know if I should or not do it. I ran out of time for the special deposit and pricing, but still wanted it so bad and one day I got a message that they were running that special for another month - until the exact day of my birthday - and I saw it as a sign. I went for it. (Look at the Law of Attraction getting me my smile). Very shortly after I got my first appointment. YAY! The office itself is in one of the fanciest LA neighborhoods. Watch the Lambos parking just outside... it's awesome! I love it! Everything is spot clean, the rooms are nice and look new. You definitely feel good in there! I was explained the process very patiently and things ran very smoothly throughout the way. We talked about the results I wanted to achieve and about the aesthetic possibilities I had and how we needed to match that with functionality as well. My second appointment ended up being sooner than expected and I got my temporary smile on. I loved it already. It was exactly how I was expecting it to be. No changes needed. They understood exactly what I wanted and that's how it came out. I was low key impressed!!!! The process was long, but it was worth every second! I came home feeling like a movie star already and switched from not smiling at any pictures at all to smiling on ALL my pictures. What a feeling!!! Then I went in for my third and last appointment. (I didn't need an extra one because the temporary smile was so perfect that no big changes were wished or needed). This time I got my final veneers on. Another long appointment at the office. A lot of very precise and meticulous work and it was spot on again. I cried of emotion when I saw my final result. A mixture of relief because I finally had the smile of my dreams and excitement because I know it's gonna look like that for many, many years. Dr. Patel is a HUGE perfectionist. Honestly, you won't get out if it's not perfect. And it is perfect at the end. My confidence level increased on levels I never thought were possible. Now I just wish Covid wasn't a thing and I didn't need to wear a mask... I wanna show my smile to the world at all times!! Talking about people, Dr. Patel, Dr. Arti and Erlinda are the most warm hearted people, professional and welcoming, caring and sooooooo nice... I was actually sad when it was time to say goodbye (still can feel the sadness). I feel like I'd love to hang out with them all. LOVE them for life. I laughed and I cried and I felt so many emotions, you need to go see for yourself to even be able to believe me. I recommend this office 1000%. Dr. Chirag Patel and his staff are super attentive, knowledgeable and totally awesome. I really took my time in researching dentists throughout the LA area in order to construct my veneers and I could not be happier. I am definitely a perfectionist as a designer and artist myself and am someone who wants to be 100% sure that my results will be ideal. My smile was pretty well-aligned before treatment as I had invisalign prior as I wanted to reduce the amount of enamel being removed. I went to a few dentists in the area for consultations over the course of my invisalign treatment and just before. I found myself going through his Instagram (smilesbydrp) one day, truly impressed with his patients results and called to make an appointment. I had some staining on my natural soft enamel and tetracycline staining on my two front teeth since birth. Overall ,my smile wasn't so bad, but I wanted to whiten it permanently and add opacity to my soft enamel to reduce the translucency I had throughout the middle of the front teeth. My teeth stain very easily. Additionally, I had some fissures running up and down my teeth from the pressure of the braces I wore during childhood. It is necessary to remove some portion in order to bond the porcelain veneer to a tooth structure. I didn't want to remove much enamel, and I was told that I would receive minimal prep veneers, where not much enamel is removed at all. That made me happy. Dr. Patel breaks up the treatment into three easy appointments at his office. During the first appoint, I received new x-rays identifying any problem areas that needed to be looked at along with zoom whitening. He also had photos taken of "before"- me during the appointment, and an "after" look made with Photoshop featuring a brighter, whiter, symmetrical, natural smile. He also explained the entire process and showed me a catalogue of all the tooth options including shape, color (a gradation and layers of natural colors), texture and translucency. I was the ultimate designer and this made me happy to have a level of control in the creative process. He also walked through the measurements of how the teeth should along with my features, and the analytical, very OCD me, appreciated that...because, it's my face. He works with an exceptional local ceramicist who constructs the porcelain veneers with a great level or detail and precision based on your specifications. During the second appointment, Dr. Patel addressed any cavities or potential areas to watch in my mouth, so that the overall health of my teeth would be full intact before placing veneers over them. He's also great at general dentistry! He took care of a couple of cavities and removed the smallest amount of natural tooth in order to prep for veneers for my final appointment. I was super comfortable with no associated pain under very local anesthetic and was able to take any breaks when I wanted. Art takes time and I was his sole patient that day. I gave Dr. Patel with a bunch of photos of my "dream smile"- pictures of celebrities teeth and notes about what I liked. We also discussed any additional modifications on the temporary veneers, which would be noted and applied to my actual veneers. Dr. Patel created temporary veneers that I would wear for a few weeks as the ceramicist prepared my veneers perfected for me. The temporary aesthetic smile across the front of my 8 teeth was created in such that it was easy to feel confident speaking in front of others. I gave a presentation during this time wearing them and people didn't even notice. It gave me a sort of instant gratification with my more aligned whiter smile. As I waited until my final appointment, Dr. Patel and the staff were available whenever I had a question. Finally, for my final appointment, my temporary veneers were removed and natural teeth were thoroughly cleaned. We discussed any final adjustments on the veneers and honestly, they already looked great! The veneers were created in the same manner as I had dictated. I was ready to go! He bonded the porcelain veneers with a super strong cement- these babies aint going nowhere. I am so happy with how they look and feel, and the compliments on how perfect and natural they appear are rolling in! There is an incredible positive difference that makes me super confident! From the moment I walked into his office he & his entire staff made me feel right at home. I needed an emergency root canal. The pain I was feeling was pretty unbearable. I've worked with many dentists throughout my life & I can honestly with out a doubt say that Dr Patel was on an entirely different level. I left his office feeling back to 100%. This review has been long due! I had originally visited Dr.Patel's office earlier this year, it was my goal to get a smile makeover. I had emailed him for a consultation and he penciled me in within a day or two. I was so happy my consultation was free. I went in there NOT knowing a thing about veneers. He really took his time to explain to me every detail of the process, he even showed me different shapes, and shades of teeth. Who would've though there was so much more to teeth. I was never rushed out, nor were we interrupted at any moment during my consultation, all my questions were answered. He then offered the photoshop process, must i say i LOVED that! The fact that you can see what your results will look like even before the process has started was amazing!!! All this was done in my first visit to Dr. Patel! yes, my consultation, amazing right? Any who, after seeing my photoshop pictures i was in complete awe. I was ecstatic to start my procedure. I loved how he NEVER pushed me to start the procedure. He kept content the whole time... He made me feel so comfortable through-out the whole process! Not just him but his beautiful staff as-well... They actually knew me by my name, i wasn't just 'another patient' or another face to them. Everytime i was in his office, there was never another patient waiting to be seen and i never waited to be seen by him... he was so prompt. His skills and his patient care is second to none. Last weekend I chipped my front tooth and my regular dentist in San Diego couldn't get me in for a repair for three weeks. I was going up to LA to visit friends this week and followed Dr. Patel on IG so I gave his office a call with the hope they might be able to fit me while I was in town. To my relief they did have availability for one of the days I was in town. I arrived at the office and was greeted by his friendly and professional staff. After filling out paperwork, I met Dr. Patel who explained to me how he would repair my tooth. When I had called in he thought he might have to fill my tooth, but after in person examination he decided he was going to bond it. He asked me if I was happy with the color of my teeth because if I had them bleached after the bonding, the repair would not lighten in color. I told him occasionally I got my teeth bleached so he said he could do the bonding a touch lighter than my teeth and blend it in so well it would match perfectly. I thought this sounded great. The procedure was quick and painless. Dr. Patel and his staff work very well as a team and I felt very comfortable and confident in all of them. We talk and joked through the whole process. Afterwards, Dr. Patel handed me a mirror and I could not believe how perfect my tooth looked. You would never, ever guess it had been repaired. It looks completely natural and it's such a relief not to feel that rough, sharp little chip in my tooth. As a bonus, he also cleaned the back of my bottom teeth at no charge and did a photoshop smile makeover on myself and my girlfriend I brought with me. I take meticulous care of and great pride in my teeth and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Patel for your dental needs!
