They consistently have great service and portions! they are abnormally busy when students get out but remain unphased in getting orders out. When the shorter Latin woman is working (whose name I don't know but should) you can absolutely tell she puts her heart into the spice of the steak. Forks are also frequently stocked. read more

Burrito fell apart as soon as I unwrapped it, service was almost rude. Unhappy with experience.

when coming here, it's been horrible. Portions were bad. Customer service was so bad as well. However, I am happy to report that the last few times I've been to this location everyone is as chipper as can be!!!! And my portions are fair and perfect. Shoutout 23rd street chipotle employees that really turned this place around. Good job! read more

It was awful. I ordered a kids quesadilla my daughter got a shriveled up taco with very little meat no cheese and nothing else. I got a burrito with nothing. I ordered on it. I pre-ordered in the app picked it up on time and the food was still cold. Don't know how that can be possible if they made it fresh it was overall the worst I've ever had from chipotle. read more

I politely asked for a side of salt, which I always ask for, and the guy said "no not right now", and condescendingly looked at me. I was shocked. He looked semi young and had awkward large glasses. Will not be returning. read more

Needed to talk with someone about ordering food in Lawrence for a grieving family. The automatic phone answering service wouldn't put me through to a human being to me to ask questions. This would have been my first purchase of your food. Now it will never happen. My negative yelp review got a quick reply asking me to contact their website... where I found robot chat available! No phone number to a real person. I then called Biemer's BBQ instead and talked to a wonderful, sharp young lady who really wanted to help me and will have my $140.00 order ready exactly on time. Real, live people... what a concept. read more

The young man who made the burrito was great. Appropriate portions of ingredients that were well mixed throughout. The best part was that the burrito held up without falling apart all the way to the last bite. read more

This Chipotle is the closest to work so I eat here a lot. The food is good, it's Chipotle. But honestly the parking lot is so dangerous, it's scary. They have plenty of employees but the food always takes longer than the other Chipotle's I've been to, that never makes sense to me. Tiny little inside eating area compared to others. read more

Quite literally so disgusting I told the guy there was a hair in the rice. He was serving me. He looked at me, pulled it out of the rice and proceeded to put rice in my bowl and didn't replace it. What a joke this chipotle should be shut down it's a health hazard. read more

Service was great but the food was the worse we have ever had at this location. Being seniors on a fixed income we don't eat out as often and for two of us the cost of $28.00 for bad food is pretty maddening. The chicken in burrito bowl and the chicken burrito tasted very, very old and it was full of bone and fat. The guacamole was horrible as well with a watery texture and no salt or flavor whatsoever and then they gave us a bag of chips that only had about 10 to 12 chips in it. We tasted the chicken the rest of the night. Last time we will ever go to this place. read more

Once Chipotle started charging extra for cheese, I knew it was bad. The portion size isn't worth the price anymore. The workers are ok. But most give off the vibe like they hate their job. read more

There are many things I do not understand in life. I do not understand why there is a Kim Kardashian. I have no clue why Justin Bieber is a thing. It baffles me that only one MLB division uses the designated hitter. Most of all, though, I am flummoxed why Chipotle is so darn popular. I am an optimist and I keep trying Chipotle thinking "I'll really like it this time! I'll like it just as much as everyone else does!" But I always come away disappointed. I have tried many different things on their menu, too, hoping this will be The One. Sadly, it never happens. You cannot drive by Chipotle in Lawrence without seeing a line. Like a serious line inside the store. People will scrounge for a parking spot and stand in line to get this food and I do not understand. At best, the food is okay. There is nothing outstanding or WOW about this place. I've had much better food at a strip mall dive. For my personal preferences, Chipotle is just uninspired. I like the rice bowls and the burritos but there is nothing memorable or outstanding. One time I was served a burrito that was way to spicy for me. I mentioned to the server and he said, "It shouldn't be spicy. We fixed it like you ordered." That was it. No offers to fix or change. The staff is friendly enough but they make you feel like a number. There seems to be very little personal connection or genuineness. The restaurant is clean and the ingredients are fresh. There is ample parking and this restaurant is easy access. The prices are reasonable for the quality. No complaints there. I guess this restaurant cannot get around having that cookie-cutter franchise feel. Chipotle just does not do it for me. read more

Super skimpy with the meat and try to charge you double for a single serving. Terrible service.

We ordered some food for delivery back in May 2020. The queso container lid wasn't put on right, and it spilled all over the bag. Plus, the queso was just plain bad. My kids' quesadillas were barely cooked. The cheese wasn't melted at all. I called to complain, and the shift manager said he would refund us for the queso, but he never did. At least a refund never showed up on my credit card. We will not be eating from here again. read more

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a chipotle location. I ordered for pick up through the mobile app and when I went to pick it up I asked for a fork and the guy at the register seemed annoyed and was rude. Then I got home to eat my meal and I opened my meal up to my order being completely wrong and there were hardly any portions inside of it. To add to this this is the fourth time I have had my order messed up by this location from ordering through the mobile app and have never once been reimbursed for it. read more

Chipotle Mexican Grill - hardly any food and wrong order - Fast Food Near Me - Lawrence, Kansas

I'm not writing to complain about chipotle as a restaurant, but about a menu item that they have. I have enjoyed all the food that I have ate at any chipotle until today when I tried there, much advertised, Queso Blanco. I am not a fan of powdered cheese and that is exactly what it taste like. Not only did it taste like powdered cheese, but it didn't pour smooth out of the container, it poured in clumps, but it looked as if it should have poured out smooth. This has been the only time I was dissatisfied with a menu choice at any chipotle. It wasn't expensive, but when I tasted it I felt as if I got took for at least $20 and I only paid a little over $4!! I won't order this again and will stick with my usually bowl and burrito. I will continue to make my own cheese sauce or go to Salty Iguana and get it from them as I've been doing for years!! read more

I disagree with the assertion that you have to go to Kansas City to find a decent Chipotle. Have been visiting this store since they opened, and while they had some issues at first, it seems to have smoothed out. Portions are the normal size you'd get at any Chipotle, and the staff seem to have gotten their routine under control. The only thing I dislike about this Chipotle is the parking lot- can be impossible to park during most parts of the day. read more

This particular Chipotle is new and has had a 1 out of 6 success rate at providing decent portions. In comparison to other Chipotles this is the worst one in 39 mile radius. The portion sizes are laughable and the staff seems at times completely lost. They have been open for at least a month or two now and at this point the staff should be comfortable in their positions by this point, but it seems, that this is still a huge work in progress. My girlfriend and i have gone to this one 3 times in the last month and a half crossing fingers that things would get better. and during the last visit they got one burrito to the proportions we are used to from every other Chipotle we have gone to and we had to ask them to add more in order for this to be the case. and as an added bonus they seem to have a hearing issue as well ... when i order mild salsa with my chips i would prefer not to be served blistering hot blood pressure destruction in a cup .. yeah .. they gave me hot sauce. long story short.. go to Kansas city if you want a Chipotle that can make a burrito correctly. read more

This is the worst Chipotle Store in Lawrence. The store manager used to be Stephanie who didn't know anything about basic leadership or even Chipotle's Vision. That is why the store has been struggling to achieve the level of "restaurateur". It is absolute trash. read more

I ordered online and for 1pm. I showed up at 1pm and waited 20 minutes for my food. They forgot my food and had to call me up and ask me what I got and didn't even give me an apology or explanation just dumped my food in front of me. Terrible will never go again read more

This Chipotle is ruining Chipotle's rep! By far the worst restaurant in Lawrence. The service is SO bad that you wonder whether they had proper training. The manager (Stephanie) is the WORST! I found something in my order once and asked to talk to the manager (Stephanie) who simply told me she had no idea how that happened. She NEVER apologized. Didn't even look at me in the eye! I will not return as yesterday I was charged more money for a "double" bowl because I asked for "a little more" when I was served a very small amount of "each" item I requested. At checkout i was charged over $11.00 and when I mentioned to the cashier that the price had gone up he simply responded "didn't you order a "double?"" to which I replied "I did not". (This is not the first time the servers did not explain I would be charged more money for a choice I was making) - Since there was a long line behind me I paid the xtra amount and the cashier breathed a sigh of relief - no explanation offered at all - this was the first I have heard of a "double". The portion size they want to serve you for $9 is very small indeed, certainly not worth the money - I won't pay $9 for that and was charged over $11 because I "asked the server for a little more" in my bowl. The food is tasty but nothing exceptional - if you want to get more for your money I am sorry to say I would not go to this particular restaurant. read more

I eat chipotle minimum twice a week for the past 5 years and this is the worst one I've ever been to thus far. Portions may be exactly what they are "suppose" to be but they are not remotely close to the portions of normal chipotles anywhere. Steak was a bloody "medium rare" and it was as chewy a rubber tire. Cashier was super rude and had no sense of humor whatsoever. My recommendation would be to go to the other chipotle here in Lawrence and try them out, drive the extra mile or you'll be disappointed. read more

Sorry. I gave them another try a few months after my original review and received the same results. I won't be returning. If you're a brave Chipotle-eating soul, my advice is to avoid this location. read more

I am a big Chipotle fan, I go there all the time, and have been to them all over the U.S. and that was by far the smallest portions I have ever seen there.
