Needs to be shut down. Qdoba better. Employees at chipotle are disrespectful and poor service.

They have a gorgeous bi-level restaurant steps from the original location. The ownership might have changed ( no longer family owned ) but some things don't change. The food is still the best Mexican in Lansing. The service is top notch and the views are amazing. El Azteco is STILL a must visit inE. Landing.

Tonight we arrived around 7pm many hours after the football game ended. We didn't wait too long to be seated but I acknowledge the place was still busy. We were given chips and salsa after sitting for at least 5 minutes with no one greeting us or bringing water. Should have taken this as a sign. I feel that discussing service with how busy they were isn't even fair - but when you sit almost 2 hours - 2 margarita pitchers later- and FINALLY get our food - it should at least be warm. Everything about my burrito plate was disappointing. Lukewarm filling at best. The least tasty refried beans and rice I've ever had. And literally the most ridiculous thing was how it was all shoved onto a plate WAAAY too small for the food. So disappointed Must do better El Az

We all met up at 5pm on a Friday. our group ended up being a count of 22. Basics, the restaurant is located near a parking deck for easy access. It was a short walk after parking. The group was welcomed in and the staff gave us a wait time to be seated. My sister-in-law had estimated there would be 15 of us. I got more concrete numbers during our drive there and gave them a count when I arrived and reiterated that we had no issue with waiting. As other diners finished, they started putting tables together for us. Once we were seated, our server Kaitlyn went over how the ordering process worked and took our orders for drinks. We asked ahead about splitting out checks and were advised it would not be an issue. Kaitlyn handled our group so well! We even had a member of our group with a significant allergy and the kitchen did a great job there. Kaitlyn got the information about her order and made sure it went smoothly. I had two of their house margaritas, on the rocks with a tajin salt rim. Delicious! Folks enjoyed a variety of drinks. There were even a few pitchers blackberry margaritas at one end of the table. The order process is neat, you get to select your ingredients to build your taco or bowl. I chose the Green Goddess (flour tortilla with queso and guac in between a hard corn shell) for both of my tacos. I got spice-rubbed chicken in one and jalapeno lime shrimp in the other. My shrimp taco had queso fresco, lettuce, cilantro & onions, pico and salsa verde. In the chicken taco, I got chihuahua cheese, onions & poblanos, lettuce, cilantro & onions, pico, salsa verde and Barrio Secret Sauce. The tacos were delicious and made just how I ordered them. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food and drink. What a great experience!

Barrio Taco We…read morestopped at Barrio Taco for lunch on our way from Chicago to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada, using it as our midpoint break on a long drive. And honestly, it did the job. The food was okay. I have definitely had better tacos, so this was not exactly a "write home about it" meal, but for a college town and a convenient stop along the road, it was perfectly decent. They have a good selection of tacos and plenty of choices, although figuring out exactly what to order can feel like a small decision-making exercise. Tacos? Bowl? Which fillings? Which toppings? Suddenly lunch requires a strategy meeting! They also seemed to have a pretty good selection of beers and cocktails, which added to the upbeat atmosphere. The space itself is large and lively, with a fun, happy energy that works well for a casual meal. Cleanliness, however, could use some attention. The floor was noticeably sticky, which is never quite the ambiance anyone is hoping for with lunch. Overall, Barrio Taco is a good casual stop, especially if you are passing through the area or looking for a lively place with lots of choices. The food was fine, the atmosphere was fun, and it was a convenient place to break up a long road trip. Not a destination meal for me, but definitely an acceptable pit stop.

HUGE. Good for groups. Everyone was sitting outside since it was a beautiful day. Inside looked a bit dated. Energy was high with the game on and everyone in Sparty colors. HOSPITALITY. Entered through the back since the parking was mostly full and found parking in back. Appreciated the signage to see the host stand to get seated. Server was friendly, accommodating, and responsive. Host was accommodating and nice. OFFERINGS. Americana menu -- lots of comfort and bar food options. Nothing seemed particularly special. We tried the Fish & Chips -- pieces were just shy of chicken tender size, but fries were excellently seasoned and cooked. Pepperjack Jalapeno Stacker -- juicy, spicy, and savory. Cherry Harvest Salad -- filling and seemed a bit duped but it was in print that the only thing cherry was the vinaigrette; but WARNING -- there are no dried cherries. OF NOTE AND LAST IMPRESSIONS. Overall, it was good for party bar atmosphere. Loo was clean, stocked, and beautifully designed.

The food, though, was awful. The chicken strips were mostly thick batter that tasted like old fry grease. We took a couple of bites, then pulled them apart looking for the chicken. We couldn't eat them. Our large pepperoni pizza took about 50 minutes to arrive. It had maybe two small pieces of pepperoni on each slice, hardly any visible sauce, and the middle was raw. We left half the pizza. We politely told our waitress the pizza wasn't cooked through. She said, "Oh," and brought us a bill for over $180. I hope we misread her reaction, but it felt like she wasn't surprised and knew nothing would be done. That was especially odd because she'd otherwise taken good care of us. I emailed General Manager Jeremy afterward. I know how hard the restaurant business is right now, and I wanted to give him a chance to hear what happened and make it right before posting a review. Three days later, I haven't received a response. I'm dumbfounded that we paid over $180 for food we could barely eat, told someone about it, and then got no response when I followed up. I wouldn't spend my time or money here again.
