I was in the middle of gathering quotes to re-do my deck, and their quote was the lowest. We were extremely disappointed with the work. It does not look good at all and our friends and family constantly criticize it for poor craftsmanship. Main Issues -Boards are extremely uneven. Some are so close together that water does not drain and it warps the boards. Some were extremely far apart and we had them come back to fix the boards. Very uncomfortable walking barefoot because of the poor craftsmanship. -Terrible paint work. He did not paint the boards through and there's missing paint throughout the deck. They only did one coat and it's already chipping off after one year. They painted on a day with a rain forecast and it poured within 6 hours of them painting the deck. They should have done it on another day, since paint should have at least a day to dry. -They didn't do any paint prep, so they sprayed white paint all over our house, pool pump, and the gas meter. -Nails and screws are sticking out and it's extremely unsafe. They did not put wood fillers over holes even though we requested it, and the pictures speak for themselves. -They ran out of screws and began using nails on my deck to hold down the boards, which is not sustainable and will need to be replaced. We live less than 5 minutes from Home Depot. Lack of attention to detail and consideration for doing the job right. -He did not remove any of the old wooden boards that he replaced even though he said he was going to do that and it was listed in the quote. We were extremely unsatisfied with the work and requested John to come back. It took over a month for him to come back and fix up the deck. He was clearly in a rush and did a very poor job fixing the errors associated with the deck. We brought up 8+ issues and he only addressed a couple of them. The biggest eyesore is the holes from the screws. I purchased wood filler and he said he would fill in holes, sand, and paint over them. He never did. He knew he did a poor job and he left without doing a final walkthrough the second time around. He also didn't seal any of the paint cans before he left. Very unhappy with the deck and it will cost thousands for us to fix it.

Therefore, we asked Ruy to install a Timberteck stair rail at our front doors, which also has withstood the test of time. We'd been concerned that installments like this would compromise the brick, whereby requiring a total rebuild, but a rebuild wasn't necessary. He also advise us on an easy and effective fix to divert water from flowing from the gutter and freezing to ice on those brick steps in winter. Based on the outcome of these projects, and our experience in their progression, we highly recommend this company.

Brutal experience with them back in 2022-2024. Would take weeks and, more than once, even months…read moreto get them to come back and do any work (see screenshots of my text interactions with them -- note the dates). They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.

They didn't finish the outer walls, didnt use a gfi outlet for the bathroom outlet, never scheduled the final inspection, and left 2 piles of trash, (1 inside, 1 outside). Communication was horrible, often weeks at a time without it, and the project manager Dan still won't return messages about finishing the project!!!! Run, don't walk, away from this company!!!!
