The service was good, but this will be my first and last visit. The food quality was very disappointing. The teriyaki chicken had an off taste, and the orange chicken had a strange, almost chemical flavor. Overall, the food seemed like it had been sitting out for too long. The price of the food is expensive $15.00 for chicken ONLY. The orange chicken was overcooked and hard. When I asked if the they gave fortune cookies with the meal purchase she stated no only when you buy to plates. I only had Wonton Soup! Came in here yesterday because i was craving soup due to the rain, I needed something that will warm my belly. I have not had any of there actual Chinese food items but it did look good. The place when you walk in is a little dated but well kept and cleaned, so I would go back just to try there actual Chinese food items. I honestly didn't really like the soup due to the fact that I feel they got cheap on me and instead of regular chicken they added orange chicken in my Soup! That made it taste weird dude to the chicken being sweet and breaded. The portion was fair for the price. I did ordered it to go, I honestly wouldn't recommend there Wonton Soup. Tried it tonight for the first time after learning that our "go-to" spot down the street (Supanburi) is now closed. Unfortunately, we threw our food away and won't be coming back here again. Orange chicken had a bad taste. Beef in the chow mein had a strange texture. Chicken in the fried rice was disliked by my wife, I was scared to try it. I forced myself to try some while writing this review, and it was tender. The teriyaki chicken bowl with steamed rice and teriyaki sauce had fatty pieces and no taste of teriyaki, but I did finish my bowl. I got the orange chicken(my fav)& BBQ pork with fried rice for 7.15(was the total) The portions where great. My food tasted great! Not sure if it was just because it was lunch time my food was just coming out as I was walking is(guess I got lucky huh?) what I don't like is the fact that they leave the door open so there's flies going in and out. Also, you can only pay with cash. They staff is friendly. The inside was pretty clean but, as I mentioned the flies.. gross. Had the food not been just coming out as I walked in I'm not sure I would have stayed after seeing that. Chinatown & Thai Restaurant wasn't what I was expecting at all! Let me start with renaming it appropriately to something like "Chinatown Walk Thur Buffet In A Box", yup sounds better already. As I walked in I was greeted immediately by a friendly little lady behind the long food counter. She said,"Hi how you? Todays' we have special lunch, special lunch everyday it rice, chow mien and pick one side any dish, okay, or two dish or three dish, OK?" She was to cute so I didn't mess with her wording I knew she was just trying to do her job and make her coins, lol! So as I looked at the entrees in a long buffet style counter, I thought to myself, this food doesn't look right, just walk out, but then I didn't have time to go somewhere else to eat lunch and get back on time & i didn't eat breakfast and I have to eat or I'll feel sick later??? decisions, what-ado, what-ado??? I proceeded to order the Orange Chicken & Fried Rice no chow mien, As I sat down to eat I was still thinking if i should eat my lunch. Well, well, well, much to my surprise it was satisfactory and I ate it and with every bite I enjoyed it, the Orange Chicken was fresh even though it looked soggy. and the rice looked dirty, I know it sounds silly but that's what it looked like to me, but it was splendid and quite tasty! It was inexpensive and sufficient for fast food so I will be back. Chinatown Fast Food - Orange chicken, fried rice, chew mein, & egg roll - Chinese Near Me - Colton, California

Staples of Chinese fast food place: Fried Rice, Noodles, Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef and Egg Rolls. This review, is about each of the aforementioned items. The fried rice was pretty tasty and the right amount of salty (no need to mess it up with soy sauce; it would make it way too salty). The egg rolls were crispy, hot and pretty flavorful, though the ingredients inside were pretty soggy and I couldn't distinguish what flavoring was used (I really like a hint of ginger in my egg roll). The broccoli in the broccoli beef was cooked well (slightly crisp and not overly soggy) but the beef was stringy and fatty. Typically, I wouldn't complain about this if it were one or two pieces of stringy/fatty meat in this type of dish, because you can expect that; half of the beef I tried to eat was this way. Total bummer. The noodles were a bit greasy for me (and yes, I know I'm eating fast food Chinese but hey, I've had some fast food Chinese noodles that only had a hint of grease, so don't blame me for having had better at a Chinese fast food place). The lowlight of the meal was the Orange Chicken, which made me sad. Orange Chicken is my favorite Chinese fast food side dish. The nuggets of chicken were dry and taste burnt/over fried. I liked that the sauce was more like a glaze (sticking to each morsel of chicken and keeping them crispy) but, unfortunately, the sauce wasn't very flavorful and tasted more of a bitter tangerine than a sweet orange. I wanted to give this place four stars because that rice is really good and, overall, it was a good place to eat (pretty cheap too). I just can't give it more than three stars though because it was really only good as any other Chinese fast food place out there. read more
