We ordered the Pork Egg Foo Young, Pork Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and the Wonton Soup. The wonton soup is amazing and probably the best wonton soup I've ever eaten. It was my first experience with Egg Foo Young and the eggs were cooked perfectly, not burnt or overdone. The gravy was great too. All of the food was hot when we picked it up. Staff was super friendly. We would never have thought that the restaurant would be great based on the shopping plaza, but all of the reviews were accurate. This will be our go to Chinese restaurant moving forward. Thank you for making a great first impression. Restaurant was very clean and there were tables to sit at.

I don't typically post about fast food or takeout, but China 1 in Dade City deserves a shoutout…read more This place has been my go-to for consistently great Chinese food, and their hospitality is just as impressive as their menu. Every time I call, no matter how long it's been since my last visit, they remember my order just from hearing my voice. That level of service is rare and speaks volumes about the people running this restaurant. I'm a creature of habit, and my usual order is the Roast Pork Egg Foo Young Combination, which comes with Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. The portions are generous, the ingredients are always fresh, and the flavors are spot on every time. I've had this dish at countless restaurants across the country during my work travels, and China 1 remains my favorite spot to get it. If you're in the area and craving quality Chinese takeout, you won't find a better place. Great food, great people, and a level of consistency that keeps me coming back.

That's the only good thing though. We got food from here yesterday. Getting Chinese food on Christmas Day is one of my in-law's traditions so that's what we did. The orange chicken and sesame chicken were the same exact thing, and the sauce was gross and tasted off. I've never tasted orange chicken like that before. The crab Rangoon was oddly sweet. It tasted like a dessert. The egg rolls were so gross that I picked out the filling. My son and I were sick after eating this food. He threw up in his bed twice during the night and I even threw up and was sick all day today. Update: my husband got sick too. Awful

The first thing you should always try at a Thai restaurant is the pad thai. If it's good, everything else will be good. Trust me! My chicken pad thai was flavorful, authentic, and delicious. The papaya salad was amazingly satisfying! I wasn't a fan of the spring roll (fried egg rolls) simply because it was more cabbage than anything else. Almost similar to Chinese eggrolls. My husband enjoyed the sashimi dinner platter and said it was good quality and a very generous amount for the price. Overall, we give this place a 4 star because service was great, price was good, and the food was delicious!

We got the egg rolls first. They were hot, but chewy not crunchy and tasteless. Next came the soup. It was plenty hot and looked good however, when we tasted it there was no flavor. It was just bland and there was no spicy taste. The little bag of chips that came with it were stale and tasted awful. Next came the chicken. The pieces were very small, overcooked, hard, had little taste and no spicy kick as it should have. The order was small and there were only 2 little broccoli flowers on the side. The fried rice looked old, dry and overcooked. There is really no excuse for serving food like this. The bathrooms were not clean and the seating area was not clean either. We will definitely not return here.
