From the very beginning of the message, I felt uncomfortable with the masseur (I never got his name). He: * leaned his body against mine way too much, forcing me to slide over to the other side of the massage table to avoid him. He either did not understand what I told him in English, or he feigned not understanding. * completely removed the towel covering my butt, and although I replaced it twice, he removed it twice more. * slide his hand across my privates. At that point, I stopped him and warned him to be careful, and to keep his hand away from my privates, and he said, "ok." A few minutes later, he repeated this on my other leg. I then stopped the massage, told him to leave, and went to the front desk to report him. I told the receptionist that they were both lucky I didn't call the sex crimes unit to report a sexual assault. The receptionist defended the masseur, saying there had never been a complaint against him. Later that day I reported the incident to the 78th Precinct, and Officer McCarthy filed a "forcible touching" complaint. UPDATE: The manager, Amy, later texted me and offered me a $100 bribe to take down this review. I refused. Has anyone else suffered inappropriate behavior/sexual assault by the masseuses and masseurs at Qi Gong? If so, please report these on their Yelp page to warn other potential customers. She made sure that I was comfortable with her instructions and treatment. She dry rubbed my boy ( above the sheet) for about 25 mins paying detailed attention to areas where my body was holding on yo tension and where obvious knots needed extra care. She then did a hot oil massage for about the same time using similar methods and then the last 10 mins was a hot stone massage. So so good! Not too much pressure but enough to make the service better. She stood in inquiry the entire time asking : are you ok? Are you comfortable? At the end of Jennie's service I did have to ask for the foot massage which Tony did. I am not sure why Jennie didn't do but I need it because I have horrible plantar fasciitis from unusually big arches. Tony was excellent. He easily detected problem areas and worked on them and even suggested ways I can aide my own relief at home. Tony then did my facial. I had breakouts along the jawline because I was silly to wear makeup & mask. He cleansed my face thoroughly, scrubbed and then did extractions. Such a game changer. My face looked and felt so clean when he was through. They are now on my calendar for the 3rd Friday of every other month. It's routine maintenance at this point. Can't say enough about them.

I feel like this place is tailored for true deep tissue massages. Before coming here I have been to other locations where their deep tissue massages were extremely light compared to this location. So I would say about 70% of the masseuses here are heavy handed - which is perfect for me because of how tight my back gets. Now you can definitely find a light massage here but it's a roll of the dice in that respect. The only thing I can see that can be annoying is the language barrier. Don't come to this location with complicated requests because you will get frustrated. Point and mimic is the key. Use small english words and you can express your needs.
