Came for a hiking vacation and stopped here for dinner. I decided to try it thinking the reviews may be slightly off considering what people docked stars off for - "small" portions, flies in the restaurant etc. However I cannot give it 5 stars. - Food: 4 stars. Shrimp dishes were really good. They messed up the chicken really badly, the vegetables were bigger than the chicken pieces!! The chicken pieces were so small I couldn't tell it was chicken. Chicken fried rice had no chicken . Also with the location and Yelp health standard I didn't attempt to eat any sushi . - Timing: 5 stars very very quick service. - Service: 3 stars, bare minimum, people mostly get take-out, it's fine. - Ambiance: 3 stars, don't expect much. Always made fresh, quick, and to order. They have the best sushi in a 50 mile radius. I eat here probably 3-4 times a week and have never had my order made wrong and have never had to wait more than 5 minutes or so for my food to arrive. With the exception of sushi, which being hand rolled I can see may take awhile. Plus, I always order a lot. Very clean place too, with a very friendly family who owns and operates the place making sure every customer is having the best experience. Love, love, love this place. First of all, I would like to say that this place has some of the best sushi i've ever had! Although the sushi is a little bit pricy, I think its worth it. 2nd, the sesame chicken is a food that I would recommend for anyone stopping by. It is a quick and tasty meal that has a ton of flavoring! The service is also great here. You can expect your food pretty quickly. The drinks are also brought out very quickly. The owners manage to create a quiet environment which is perfect for family's of all sizes! But, there is always a little negative side. The bathrooms are very dirty. I would not go into the bathroom at any cost. I think it would be worth it to go to the Gamestop to use the bathroom unless you really need to go. If you need to wash your hands, it would be better to ask the server for a hand sanitizer bottle if theres not already one at your table! This is probably not the greatest Chinese food to eat, not flavorful at alwhen you are in a town that lacks Chinese food it'll have to do. Egg roll taste like what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. Started leaving a 2 star review but had to change it 1 because the flies wouldn't stop trying to land in my food. Glad we decided to stop here while passing through the area. I wouldn't expect much good seafood from a landlocked place like this, but the rainbow roll was one of the better ones I've had anywhere. Service was great. We were met almost at the door, and the server checked on us frequently despite the fact we weren't even here longer than maybe 20 minutes total. Decor seems nice, if not a bit "plain". Then again, I'm here for the food and service anyway. What matters to me was definitely enough to convince me to return next time I pass through here. Only complaint I might have, though very minor, is the size of the roll. I got a standard 8-piece roll, but the diameter was smaller than what I'm used to. So far so good. Met at the door and seated right away, immediately took a drink order then gave us time to figure out what to order. Pretty typical Chinese restaurant menu but with the added delight of sushi and sashimi. Nice selection of both. The food was pretty good albeit a little different from what we're used to. I ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce it came as a soup and was blazing hot. Took forever to cool down enough to actually eat. Nice thing about the menu is you can order several dishes as a "Small order". My wife really appreciated that. Overall it was a good experience and we'd go back. One last thought, the young folks working there are extremely quiet. They are nice, friendly and very efficient but you might think they're not friendly. I use to think this was a great place to eat until today. They served us bad salmon and after we asked the waitress to try it and then sending it back we were still asked to pay for it. Offering a $2 discount was the only option the owner would offer. I paid the bill and expressed that after eating here for so many years that I've watched her kids grow up in that restaurant and that after this transaction, I won't ever be back. No real vegetables... frozen peas and carrots, white onions in yellow dried up rice with shrimp is not shrimp fired rice... no soy sauce... No Almond Chicken... no egg drop soup... no bean sprouts in anything... all of the basic things that you would expect at a chinese place were not offered.. My wife's meal made her sick.. Happy Valentines day... On a good note... the shrimp in the shrimp fried rice were very big and good... but was only fried in corn oil... I am from Long Island, New York. I was raised on New York pizza and Chinese food. As such, I am highly qualified to review Chinese food in Arkansas! China Fun is as good as any take-out joint on Long Island. I ordered General Tso's chicken - my usual. The taste is a solid 7 out of 10. The portion was generous. They included a small container of white rice and a fortune cookie. For $10.23, it was a little pricey. Fortunately, a dollar or two difference is not a life-changer for me! Hidden Gem! Great value, too. I've eaten in and had take-out from China Fun on numerous occasions. This is not your typical small town Asian eatery. It's a step above. The food is consistently good, the soups and jasmine tea steaming hot to the table, and the sushi is excellent. We've had several dishes off the regular menu, several soups, the house and seaweed salads, plus a variety of sushi rolls. My favorites are the Pink Lady and spicy tuna. The staff is always friendly and courteous. Take-out portions are generous. Absolutely worth the $ all around! read more
