"Crab puff" with no crab lol.
Elizabeth B.

This place has the worst Chinese food I've ever had. They do not honor the prices on their website and when asked to they would not. The crab puffs are just cream cheese (THAT'S IT). The "fried rice" that comes with dinner meals is just brown rice with nothing in it. Will never waste money here again. Wish someone would've warned me.

Bummer! I wanted to like this little place because it's the epitome of a local, family-owned business, and it's close to our house. Instead, the takeout I got recently was so bad that now I feel I have to warn others away. Considering the lunch special and an extra app I just ate, there's no way the good reviews below ate the same food I did. Still, because it was so terrible I won't be going back, so this one sample will have to do. The hot and sour soup was - literally - closer to dishwater than soup. Bland, thin, and with a nasty aftertaste. Whatever that stuff was it stuck in my throat for hours after. The lunch special was okay, I guess, a meat mix with veggies in a brown sauce - but thick and sticky, not light and flavorful. The dumplings were heavy and lacking flavor, but not terrible. Other major complaints: 1) The reception/pick-up area itself is dirty, verging on filthy. Based on the crap on the walls, windows, and counters, this is not a recent development. If I hadn't already ordered by phone I never would have ordered once seeing the condition of this little shop. I'm a firm believer in the old saying, "If it looks like this out front where the customers can see, imagine what it looks like in back in the kitchen"; 2) Portion size. I know, I know, you can't complain about the quality and then about not getting enough of it. But, assuming you've ever ordered out at any Chinese restaurant in your life, this will be the smallest portion you've ever seen. It reminded me of a Lunchable, those little snack-packs you get at the grocery store. Bottom line, and I truly regret this, China Express is completely unacceptable. Especially when you can go a mile east and get truly excellent Chinese AND Japanese from Akashi. AVOID!

Great lunch under $10. I ordered chicken cashew. It came with soup, egg roll, fried rice, and a fortune cookie. Great tasting bargain!

They are very convenient and fast. We order from here at least weekly and are never dissatisfied. If you order over $50, which is easy to do feeding a family of 5, they give you some great tasting banana bread.

It's not worth it!

Their food is horrible. Bland. I have never had Fried Rice that didn't have any veggies in it at all... no onions, peas, carrots. Also no eggs.... It was rice and absolutely nothing else and the rice wasn't fully cooked. I ordered the chicken n vegetables with brown sauce, again no flavor and very bland. I ordered extra brown sauce and still it just wasn't good. I ordered egg rolls and can't review those bc they failed to give me those in my to go order. Figured it out after I was home and just wasn't worth going back for. Don't waste your time or money. Go to Akashi!

Correct order put in- completely different order delivered- with no egg roll.

Well, ever since Panda Village moved to this place it's gone downhill... Food used to be exactly how it was ordered and was always ready in a timely manner. Not anymore- this is the 3rd time I've have something missing/ order wasn't right. Tonight, I ordered the Asian box special with steamed rice, chicken, broccoli and carrots, and general tso sauce on the side not spicy. It also comes with an egg roll. What I received was fried rice, spicy saucy all over and no egg roll. Bummer. So I called back and let the lady know it was wrong. She said they could remake it if I wanted to come pick it up(another 45 minutes at least before I would get back home) or they could credit me the egg roll that was missing. I said I would take the credit... But it will probably not happen- won't be ordering here again, sadly. There is one other Chinese place in town I will be ordering with from now on.

Fried rice with nothing in it. Bland and tasteless. I had to throw it away.

I'm not big on bashing small businesses because I understand that mistakes happen. However, this…read morewasn't the first time I received an incorrect order--it was the second. The first time, I simply made do with what I received. This time, I contacted the company because several items were incorrect. The gentleman who initially answered the phone was sweet as pie and tried to assist, but unfortunately, he didn't have a resolution for my issue. Shortly after we hung up, I received a call from someone who stated that he was the owner. He was initially very apologetic, and I sent him pictures showing what I ordered versus what I actually received. He explained that DoorDash posts the pictures of the food, not his company. He offered to refund me for two items, but I explained that I still wasn't satisfied because the one item I did receive was room temperature at best. At that point, the entire order was essentially a loss. When I asked for a full refund, I was told that I needed to return the food. I explained that the food had already been delivered, so I wasn't sure how I was expected to return it. That's when the conversation completely changed. The owner accused me of trying to get money from his company, said I was manipulating them, continued making disrespectful comments, and ultimately hung up in my face. That part bothered me more than the incorrect order. Mistakes happen. Food gets mixed up. Orders can be prepared incorrectly. I can understand all of that. What I don't understand is making a customer feel as though they are dishonest or trying to take advantage of your business simply because they are asking for a resolution to a problem. At the end of the day, my family still didn't have dinner, I paid for an order that was not properly fulfilled, and the biggest concern seemed to be defending the business rather than providing customer service. I genuinely wish the outcome had been different because I try to support small businesses whenever I can. But customer service matters especially when something goes wrong. How you handle the mistake can leave a much bigger impression than the mistake itself.
