I came in for a 30 minute chair massage for a couple of specific areas on my neck and back that were causing pain due to knots. The guy worked on me for half an hour, and I felt barely any improvement. Since I was still in a lot of pain, I agreed to 15 more minutes. Little improvement, and when I got up from the chair to pay, it still hurt to move my neck. I was desperate, so I did 15 more minutes. This time, the man who'd been working on me switched out for a woman, and the woman did a better job easing the knots in 15 minutes than the man had done in 45. Of course, 15 minutes was not nearly enough time to effectively treat the knots, but I simply could not afford more. I walked to the counter to pay for a full hour's worth of time, and to my shock, they tried to OVER charge me. You see, by their logic, I should be charged for multiple mini-sessions instead of one long session because I kept adding on more time (HELLO, if they'd done the job properly in the initial 30 minutes, I wouldn't have needed more time, now would I?), and when I pointed this out, they then said they needed to charge me for multiple sessions because two different people worked on me (despite the fact that I never requested this, AND it's not my fault a second person had to re-do the first person's failed attempt). They ended up charging me for two thirty minute sessions, which is better than one thirty minute and two fifteen minute sessions which is what they originally tried to pull, but still more expensive than a single hour, and inexcusable considering I came in for a 30 minute which they botched at my expense. THEN when I'm paying, I try to enter a custom tip (was aiming for 10-15 percent, which honestly was generous considering the questionable service and scammy unexpected upcharge), but the prompt on the card reader won't let me move forward. The lady tries to tell me I need to tip twice since there were two people working on me. I say no, I'm tipping once, and I try again. This time when the custom tip prompt won't move forward again, the lady tries to tell me I need to tip twice as much money since there were two people. I refuse again, but still can't get the prompts on the card reader to move forward, so I finally select the 20% one (which is the lowest possible percent without doing custom, of course, so they pretty much gave themselves a 20% tip as a reward for successfully scamming me with the lousy massage and the upcharge.) In retrospect, I should have asked if there was an option for no tip, but I was simply too flustered and gobsmacked by their audacity. It also didn't help that they seemed to suddenly not understand what I was saying once I was calling them out on their funky math, but there hadn't previously been a significant enough language barrier to prevent communication. The only reason I was tempted to maybe give this place two stars instead of one is because in the final fifteen minutes, when the lady was working on me, she did actually bring some relief to the knotted muscles. I still got swindled and severely price gouged, however, and that's worth no stars at all. TL;DR - I paid the price of an upcharged hour (AND an upcharged tip due to a "glitch" in the card reader not letting me enter a custom tip after I refused to succumb to verbal pressure to tip double) - all for a measly 15 minutes of effective massage. And since I only got 15 minutes of effective massage for more than the price of an hour plus tip, the knots are still there, but my money is gone. The overall vibe here is BUYER BEWARE. read more

Entering they kept insisting me and my family when we clearly said no, only for my parents. The lady charged us and didn't wanted to give our change back unless we tipped, and she was insisting to leave tip, then she went to my dad faces who doesn't understand her and out the money of his face to leave tip when I was telling her no that we ain't bc of her attitude and she was ignoring me.At the end my dad left tip but not a lot the lady made an ugly face and I tons her tip is optional. I went to China Day Spa for a chair massage. They started me with a woman massage therapist. Another customer came in and requested a woman. Then without asking switched me to a man therapist. Who actually hurt my back because his pressure was way too hard. My bones were cracking. It was not enjoyable in the least. And I'm still in pain. They should have waited for me to be done with the lady therapist and then go to the next customer. I'm very upset about this. It was very uncomfortable, the entire experience. I don't recommend. I was also very intimidated when paying. He stood over me while the tip screen was up. I didn't see a choice for $0. I did $2.00. I regret going there. I thought it would be a nice treat for me. A few things: I'm in a wheel chair and I've been coming here for years. I will say they don't speak much English but they take direction very well. Don't be afraid to say what you want. The massage I get hurts but when I leave I can move again. The only place I know of that can make the pain go away. If you want no mall noise, ask for a longer table massage. If you want a better deep tissue the guys are better and if you want more sweetish or relaxing, ask for the lady's. From experience, over the years they have all at one point, given me a massage. No appointment needed and although they are usually busy, they almost always get me in very quick. read more

By far the worst massage I have ever had. My husband and I had a couples massage. The ladies were talking to each other the entire time. It didn't seem like she was applying pressure with her fingers instead it felt like she was just rubbing oil on me and using her elbow/forearm. She would ask me how was the pressure and I would tell her harder. She adjusted the pressure then eventually went back to what she was doing. Eventually I just started saying it was ok because I was getting annoyed. I should've walked out when I saw a guy up front doing a chair massage and it looked like he was leaning on a bar having a drink. He was leaning on the gentleman in the chair with his forearm, lazily moving it around with his other hand in his pocket as he watched people walk by I will never go back. Went with friends to the cheese cake factory for lunch. After lunch we decided to walk around the mall. We came across china day spa and decided to get a massage. Should I start with the good or the bad mainly all bad. The first thing the lady I had could not understand English. The only word she knew was 1 hour 65 dollars and you tip me. So I told her I wanted medium pressure but she nearly killed me she was so rough. She used enough oil on me to fill a bathtub. The towel was to hot. After I got through and was paying she said you tip me. I tipped her 5.00. When I checked my bank account she had charged her a 20.00 tip on there. Avoid this place like the plague. All massages here are excellent quality, and I have been coming regularly for quite some time with good results. However recently I have become uncomfortable with the way the older male chair masseur keeps deliberately pushing certain private parts of his body against me during the chair massages. I've discontinued having those here as a result and am sticking to the full body massages with the ladies. read more

Heavenly! My favorite place to get a chair massage in Arlington; I'm here almost once per week. Very convenient and affordable. Sometimes there is a wait, but it's worth it. The attendants are great at finding your tense areas and making it feel wonderful. There will be noise/chatter in the front where the chairs are, so if that bothers you, you can try a table massage in one of the private rooms. I always leave feeling relaxed and happy. read more

This place is beyond horrible if you want to relax. Let's start at the beginning if you go to the mall dont walk in front of this store they will physically grab you by the arm and pull you in the store. The place is nice but the problem is the women cannot speak much English. The only words they know is tip me and tip me more serious. So the massage was decent I have had much better outside the mall and outside the mall is nearly half the price. I guess people go here due to the convenience of being in a mall. Not for the price or massage. I did a 4 hand with some lady with glasses and some tall lady who was always smiling. It's hard to tell someone that the pressure is wrong with dont understand English. I seriously doubt the therapists here are certified. Finished the massage and left to get my tiny tiny cup of water. I tipped each lady 15.00 and they seemed mad.
