I have been to massages all over the world and was very impressed with Dia and his massage. He was able to find places on my shoulders, neck and back where I needed the most work and help me relieve the pain. What made this experience best is that it was a early pre-natal massage. So even if I was not in the ideal position (on my stomach or on my back) he was still able to find the places I needed most on my side. This was not only impressive but for someone who loves massages and pregnant made me feel great afterwards. He is also very knowledgeable in overall wellness for your body which is assuring from a massage therapist. He knows what he is doing. He doesn't talk throughout the massage and uses the appropriate pressure that you request. I can't wait to continue with my massages throughout my pregnancy and hopefully get a regular massage post pregnancy. Although he was a little late in starting the massage he still gave me extra time which I really appreciated. I did participate in the deal that he offers which is I believe 10 or 12 massages for $30 each for services throughout my pregnancy and I'm quite excited. The spa itself was clean and comfortable. I was on the hydrolic heated bed which was great. The music wasn't loud and it was very relaxing. I'm pregnant and the smell also wasn't overpowering at all. People have commented on his "car sales pitch" on his offer for massage but it seems he is just passionate and enjoys talking about his craft and the importance of it. So, after deep consideration, I removed my original 5 star review. The owner made me give him a 5 star review before I could leave, but after reading other reviews after the fact, and really thinking about my experience, I have to be honest about my visit. I felt very pressured by him to leave the review before he would allow me to leave. That being said, the massage was decent, but it was only upper body and he kept trying to pop adjust or "crack" my back without telling me, which hurt. Dia was very nice, but he never stopped talking during the entire session. There were also a couple times where I felt he was rubbing a little too close to areas he shouldn't be touching, but I wasn't sure it was intentional and didn't want to be accusatory. I also could have sworn I heard a girl having an orgasm in the next room, but maybe she was really enjoying her massage? He then continued to go over his 1 time offer packages until he was blue in the face, but I just continued to say I didn't have money because I knew I didn't want to come back. This place also shows up as a different company "identity healthy" or "identity care" .. I didn't recognize the merchant on my billing statement and disputed it because I had no clue (they don't provide any phone numbers or identifying info with their merchant code, so I had no clue). Beware that most of the positive reviews were solicited by the owner, as he will ask and wait for you to post the review before leaving. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I read fantastic reviews on Facebook and Google, only to check Yelp the night before my massage and I chose to go anyways, despite the terrible reviews I read there. Let me start by saying there's no receptionist or staff other than the owner Dia and one other therapist. The hours on the door said they were open, but no one was there until 5 minutes before my scheduled massage and the owner was on the phone with a client almost 20 minutes into my massage time. He made up the time by keeping me later, it was still an inconvenience. The lobby is dirty and the furniture is in a state of disrepair. The restroom and the massage room and linens were clean, but the rooms have bifold slotted doors so you can see inside and hear everything going on. I went in at 28 weeks pregnant for a prenatal massage, I did call and was assured the therapists are certified in prenatal (they are NOT) and ended up having the worst massage of my life. Not only did I have to TELL Dia not to pop my back (massage therapists are not EVER supposed to do this) but he popped several other parts of my body and put so much pressure on my hips that he pushed my pelvis out of alignment and I had to seek chiropractic care to realign it. I felt okay walking out, tipped and scheduled a second appointment but within an hour I was in terrible pain and couldn't even walk. I called a week later (still in pain I might add) to cancel a future appointment I had made and requested him to refund my mother in law for the gift certificates she had purchased but he has yet to return her calls or answer the messages we have both left. I spoke with him briefly over the phone following the incident and he did nothing but deny responsibility and blame me for pain he clearly caused me. He fell asleep (or something) during the massage session. He said I needed more work and asked if we could continue for another 30 minutes, did NOT tell me it would cost extra. I had prepaid for the session so he charged me an extra $50 for the session. Then, afterwards, he tried selling more sessions and would not take no for an answer. So disappointed... :( I came here with an excruciating headache after a hard day at work because my regular masseus was booked... All I wanted to do was relax and get a full body massage. Overpowering smell of aromatherapy, almost to the point of nausea. Worn, dingy furniture in waiting area. My "masseus" was unsanitary and put her hair band in my hair without asking me. Gross. Aaaaaannnnd she would.not.stop.talking. I was polite and answered her questions, but she just didn't take the hint that I didn't want to talk. Also, I question whether she is even licensed. It was very loud and I did not feel calm,the atmosphere felt very rushed.The therapist we had were arguing over the tables and the tables were awkwardly placed in a tiny room, it was hot it the room the whole time we were in there. The service was just terrible, my face was hitting the wooden part of the table the whole time. I was shorted 15 minutes, the therapist obviously did not read what I needed focus on, I left there with stiff shoulders and now I'm having to take a muscle relaxer just to relive the tension. Upon arrival the environment was clean, relaxing and smelt lovely (not too strong like most places) Dia and Britta were our masseuses and Max & I were very pleased with the professionalism, customer service and environment. I'll dive into more details, cause I was thoroughly pleased with my experience and Max also agrees with me. Starting with Britta, who was very soft spoken and and amazing masseus according to Max she was very complete, thorough and targeted his problem areas beautifully. Following with Dia who worked on me and I am so thankful for his technique and professionalism everything from his Shiatsu Manipulation to his pressure both deep and soft. He was able to release the tension that has been building up in my wrists, ankles, back and neck and I am so thankful he asked me to relieve that pressure. So sad to say I have never wrote a bad review so this is my first one. I recently moved to Arlington so I was looking online for a massage places near me and I came across Serenity massage I saw that they had good reviews So I went to there website were it said $59 for an hour which is the average price for them so I call to schedule the appointment surprisingly she had availability the next day so I took it when I asked her the price she told me $79 (should have taken it as a red flag) so I told her online has a different price so which she said there website hasn't been for sometime and she mentioned the packages they have too but I told her I would do the $79 for right now if I change my mind will let them know after my appointment regardless it being $20 I decided to make the appointment thinking it would be worth it since they have good review but not only did I have to pay $79 I also had to pay for it before services were render (another red flag). The next day I get to my appointment I get taken back to the room the place looked clean I am not going to lie about that and 15 minutes after my appointment Dya walks in apologizes for being late (which honestly is no biggie I know things happen) seem like a nice he touching/applying pressure to my back and tells me I need a lot of work done but instead of massaging me he starts talking ALOT none stop for a straight 1 hour not to sound mean but I paid $79 for a massage not for a psychological counseling so here I am laying down waiting for my massage to start (already in my head thinking I am never coming back here) when he says I am going to need 30 minutes since your back needs a lot of work but in my head I am like if would have started to massage me like an hour ago instead of talking He wouldn't need extra an 30 minutes but I agree another big mistake I made at the end of the session he starts trying to sell me his $348 package which he was "only having it that day" and "only for me to help me" mind you when I called to schedule the lady offered it to me and from reading the reviews he has been having those package prices for years.I kept telling him I would think about it and comeback and buy it if I wanted it but nope he kept insisting he even created his hand made certificate after I had told him I was going to think about it and to make matters worst he tells me that if I get the package he would not charge me the extra 30 minutes which was $55 more than what I had already paid the day before. He was so pushy it made me so uncomfortable that I told him just charge the $55 because I had to go I had already wasted more than I had planned too and although I knew that wasn't right what he did to me was not worth $134 (1 hour of talking and 30 minutes of light massage ) at all I have been having massages and adjustments for years never had I had this type of experience I rather drive far than to comeback here. This was very stressful and uncomfortable experience not relaxing at all. Sad to say I definitely do not recommend this place very expensive if you don't fall for his sale pitch of his "one of a kind made specially for you" packages. I feel like the owner does all the new clients in order to push his packages on us and if he doesn't get you to buy it he throws in those extra 30 minutes for $55 extra (for free because in my case I didn't even get my first hour of massage when I had to pay an extra $55 for 30 minutes) as a away to make extra money regardless it's sad that this business is ran like that I really had high hopes but my search continues. read more
