George takes care of our rental homes and does the best job! I just had him inspect a house and he had every opportunity to over quote me and recharge me for unnecessary services. Instead, he did the ethical thing and gave me advice. I respect his integrity and will continue to use Chilton's for all our pest problems! read more

The first visit with them was great, and I had one more routine visit with them. That treatment pushed all the outside ants into my garage, I called and had them come out to retreat within my 90 day warranty. At that visit the technician knocked on my front door where I met him in the front porch, I came back inside and closed my door, he took less than 5 min outside, then from inside my bedroom I hear the front screen door and front door open, I walk out and the technician is letting himself INTO my home and closing the door behind him! I was home alone with two large dogs, thank goodness they didn't bite him but I ran up to them first and grabbed their collars. He gave me my invoice and I asked him to leave. I was so upset and scared that he just let himself right in, no business was being done in my home, nothing needed treatment inside, he had no right to walk right in. I called the office and the front desk lady wrote it off and did not see the problem. They called to get me rescheduled for the next quarterly treatment multiple times and I was not going to have them come back out. They are not professional and do not worry about their customers. They just sent me something in the mail asking for me to call and reschedule, I called them to ask them to take me off their list and on top of the situation that happened I explained during the call that with not working very much with COVID that many people are focusing on paying bills and the same lady went into a guilt trip that if I asked for them to come out after this I'd be charged even more! At the first visit, we clearly stated we did not want to sign up for additional services until we could determine if it worked. That was 3 months ago, just found a bill in my front door from yesterday. No phone call to check to see if this day was acceptable; just came to house. Honestly, don't know if it was even treated. I called and was told I had signed for the quarterly treatment. She looked and found a note about not being sure for additional treatments but said that only applied to the inside not outside treatments. At. Initial visit, office help called days later with an accusatory tone, that my card would not work. After going through the numbers, she had written the wrong expiration date down. Clearly we were both mistaken but not she's trying to lock us into a years worth and I gotta say, it's not working. Next call will be to the BBB. read more

New to Nixa . Jan 2020. We called Chiltons to schedule a treatment due to ants in one area of the house. But we were interested in a full ongoing treatment of immediate yard area and complete house. They treated and put out these bug motel traps which i hate . They are nasty looking and are in the way of my water moping. That makes not common sense . do they expect customers to not mop or move them to mop and put them back? EEEw! I still saw Ants, i actually sprayed ants myself and kept the area wiped till the ants were gone. I also see spiders and see bugs around my door frame . i have had an ant problem on my back walk out deck and in a small planter on my deck . it should not be this bad with the drought and a exterminator. They are not working for us! read more

5/22/20- We move in to our new house that we bought. The previous owner had used Chiltons to rid the crawlspace of termites. The cost was around $1500. He also added a 5 year $500 warranty to the treatment to insure we would be covered if termites came back. A few days later I call Chiltons to try and understand the warranty and what all is involved, what I need to do, etc. The front desk lady tells me it covers a yearly inspection and if termites are found, the treatment would be covered. She then adds, "Oh and if you would like us to come out quarterly, we could do that as well." I think that sounds great, and assuming that is included with the warranty, I agree to that. 8/7/20- Chiltons comes out to the house and gives me an invoice that says $95 and termites were found. I am confused by the invoice but assume it is covered in the warranty since termites were found. 10-6-20 I get a bill in the mail about two months later saying that my invoice is over due. I am horrified as I always pay my bills on time and immediately pay. I'm still confused but think that maybe they charged me for the new bait trap. 11/4/20- They come out to the house again and give me another one of those invoices with $95 that says "no termites found." At this point I realize that I wasn't charged for the bait trap last time, but just for them to come out and check them. I didn't ever agree to them charging me $95 to come to check them. They NEVER told me that I was going to be charged for this. I figure there was some miscommunication and I would call them later to cancel them coming out every quarter and clear things up. 11/13/20- I finally get around to calling them to cancel. I call at 2:57pm kindly telling the man of the situation and asking to cancel the quarterly as I wasn't told it would be $95 and that is just not in our budget to do at this time. He asks if he can call me back. I agree. At 3pm he calls me and I tell him I do not want to pay $95 every quarter and want to cancel. He tries talking me out of it and then tells me to write an email to himself and the owner instead. I email telling them the whole situation a third time and ask for a refund of the two $95 visits. I also ask for what all is involved with the warranty as I still have not been informed what it entails. The owner calls me at 3:26pm to tell me that they will not give me a refund (one of the first things out of her mouth). She is rude and threatens that another company will not take over the termite job done on my house without me paying tons of money so I'll be in a bad position if I leave them. This is absolutely not true, by the way. Once again I tell her that I want to cancel. I hang up. At 4:07pm the man calls me and talks almost nonstop going into detail about the bait system that I have. I stop him after 7 minutes because all I have wanted to do this whole time is cancel! He gets mad that I interrupted him and says, "Well, if you would just let me talk!" At that point I'm mad. All I have done is listen to them talk! I have not once been apologized to for the complete lack of communication, I still have not been told the terms of the warranty, I have been rudely talked to and they still haven't canceled like I asked over an HOUR ago. I tell him I want the service cancelled. He tells me that the warranty will be void if I cancel the quarterly. Which is the first I have heard of this! He says the warranty includes me paying $95 every quarter or is void. I no longer want anything to do with this company. I tell him to cancel the quarterly and cancel the warranty. He tries talking me out of it and I say that's what I want and hang up. At 4:40pm I get another email. They state that the warranty (which the previous owner put into effect) includes a quarterly bait check and an annual renewal. Once again, no prices are mentioned. If the quarterly bait check is $95 which isn't mentioned, then how much is the annual renewal?? It is not stated. Now I'm convinced this company is purposefully trying to trick me into paying money by making it look like it's included in the warranty when in fact, I have to pay. I also have never seen the warranty, have never signed anything into my name and have never agreed to pay anything. 11/14/20- I email them stating that I do not want anybody from their company coming to my house any more, that I want to cancel (how many times have I said this??) and that I would like an email confirmation of the cancellation. 11/16/20- They do not reply to email. I also notice on my invoice for my $95 quarterly check that it says in the bottom, "Agreement for One Year." I NEVER agreed to one year, never signed anything that said I would do quarterly checks for one year and was never told that. Which, again, lines up with what others have stated in other reviews about this company's tactics. By the way, they STILL haven't told me they have cancelled. read more

Chilton service is safe, reliable, effective and reasonable. I would suggest Chiltons to anyone for all your Pest Control needs.

The first visit I had with Chilton's was great then after that it has slowly decline the next visit the lady was only here for two minutes and she Sprayed a little out front Nothing around the doors or windows and poof she was gone went to Chilton's and complained and they did send somebody out to spray out front and back next visit they came a day early because of COVID-19 Shut down I was unable to be here Which was fine only sprayed out front And I was under the understanding that once they were able to open back up they would come back and spray the backyard and inside the house mind you they charge me full price. They have been open a month got a call yesterday Wanted to set up appointment and I said well you owe me a spray outback and inside and he no I was misinformed so I set up an appointment and he said they would be here today between 10 and 11 nobody ever showed up at 12 I called because I needed to reschedule Tried to reschedule and he hung up on me Because wanted to come just spray out front again and charge me full price. I'm not falling for that again $150 just to have your front yard sprayed is a little ridiculous. I do not recommend them. read more
