The fitness area for weights and cardio equipment is user friendly and in good condition. Prefer to go there vs my gym as it tends to be less crowded. The facility itself is of course geared for 55+, but anyone 18+ can come in and use the facility. Staff is friendly and there are usually multiple people available to assist you. This can be a busy facility however at times so there may be a chance you do have to wait a little bit if you have a question regarding something. Coffee is free if you bring your own cup, if you need a cup there is just the small fee of $1 and you can buy a cup from the desk. So many wonderful events and opportunities that happen here. Definitely worth coming and checking it out

As a recreation facility the Fort Collins Senior Center falls short on being considered a decent…read morerec space. If you need to call regarding a question expect to be put on hold immediately and not addressed for 5-10 minutes. Upon entering the facility you'll be greeted by inpatient, unkind and distant staff. The staff are not trained in the majority of ongoings within city recreation, most staff rely upon their managers who they themselves are unhelpful. Speaking to a manager is a whole other issue as they're never available. The facility attendants are mostly helpful and attending to almost any issue/need you many have. The pool table area is okay however most cues, balls, etc are strewed about the area or just lost. In regards to the pool, look online before coming in because classes are scheduled and lanes may or may not be available. Speaking on the rental spaces available at the Senior Center there's nothing special or noteworthy to speak on. If you need to rent a space, don't expect a return call for 1-2 weeks. Those who come in the early morning for coffee, there is now a $1 charge for cups, so bring your own. With overall subpar staff and a underwhelming facility, I would recommend the Chilson Senior Center in Loveland.

I wanted to take a minute to let you know how much of a lifesaver your team was for us here at…read moreAspens Memory Care, our new resident, and his family yesterday. Long story a bit shorter, we had a new move in fly in yesterday from California. His family flew out that morning and brought their father back the same day, so needless to say, it was quite the stressful situation due to their father having a fairly advanced stage with his dementia. We had been working on getting Physician orders in at the onset of confirmation and the Doctor continued to delay. When it came down to the wire, we had to provide the family with an alternative option. Per state regs, we cannot accept a resident without Physician orders and our plan B, which is to onboard with our onsite Physician group, rightfully could not see him until Friday. The family had expressed their concerns about being with him through the night as they do not have much experience dealing with Dementia. I threw a Hail Mary pass to Sharon and boy did she take it in for the touchdown! She was first on my list to call and while we waited on her return call, our team made multiple calls to see who could assist. Your team was the STAR that came through for us and I do not have enough words to express how grateful we are. In addition, the family complimented Elliot (caregiver) so much. He knew exactly how to handle our new resident, Dr. Smith and the family was able to get peaceful sleep after their physically and emotionally draining day! Today with the sunrise also came Physician orders and our new resident is making himself at home today. So, A HUGE THANK YOU to Sharon, Julie and Elliot! I'm so glad we continue to partner with you. Thank you, Amy R. Moore Director of Sales & Marketing Aspens at Fort Collins

We paid for their seniors to visit our mother; we live out of state. At first is was nice, when…read moreJen McCarn was in charge. Year 2 to 3 was not as nice, not to the level of care and 'customer service' we experienced the first year. We stayed with them out of our convenience and because our mother was used to them. 1. They bill every week. If you don't pay weekly they harp on you about the bill. We asked repeatedly and were told repeatedly that paying monthly was fine. Harping continued. 2. If you have them buy groceries REQUEST RECEIPTS. In reviewing bills and seeing what was actually in her fridge and pantry, I really wonder if all the money we paid for 'grocery cards' and 'groceries' was accurate. An 85yo woman just doesn't eat $200+ groceries a week IMO, which is what it added up to sometimes. Maybe they stocked up on money cards, but regardless, please ask for receipts. 3. We were there all day (24 hours) on a day someone was scheduled to show up but the senior never showed up. Makes us question every single charge from that person we ever paid for. They did not bill for that day, but the senior person who came to visit the next day was sure a visit had been scheduled and missed. 4. Our mother had a social worker from Adult Protective Services assigned to her after being in the hospital a few years ago. Caring Senior Services told APS things they had never shared with us. It felt like they were tattling on us to get us in trouble. It was a terrible feeling that you can no longer trust the people you are paying to check on your mother every day. 5. The day we arrived the sink was full of disgustingly old, dirty dishes. Counters were dirty. We thought they were doing dishes when they delivered groceries. Apparently not. These were so old mold was growing on half of them. If you need or require visits to you parent/senior, Caring Senior Services serves the purpose. The visitors themselves for the most part were okay. We didn't really know them, they are many and they changed, but we trusted them in the house. Our issue ended up being with account management. Hopefully if you're hiring them you are local and can check up on them and ensure they're doing whatever you've contracted with them to do, light cleaning, groceries, etc.
