I am writing to formally address a dispute regarding the water heater installation services…read moreprovided by Climate Experts. Below is a detailed account of the situation, including the timeline, agreements, and subsequent issues: Timeline and Agreements Initial Quote and Agreement: On 5 February 2025, Climate Experts provided a quote for installing a customer-supplied water heater. The quote explicitly stated: "The replacement water heater can be installed either in the attic space where the existing one currently is (provided it fits in the attic access), or it can be installed in the garage. Either location, pricing valid for either.", "*Installation includes all required wiring & water lines." Pictures and requested information were provided by my realtor to assist in preparing the quote. Additional detailed pictures of the house layout were available online via the property listing. I signed the quote on 7 February 2025 and paid $2,150 on 9 February 2025. Tech Visit and Refusal to Install: The technician arrived at the property and stated that the supplied water heater could not be installed in the attic due to its hybrid nature, weight concerns, and potential condensation issues. I requested that the water heater be installed in the garage, as explicitly stated in the signed quote. Climate Experts refused, claiming the situation was not as expected and that installation in the garage would cost more than the quoted and paid amount. Forced Purchase of Additional Water Heater: Due to time constraints related to the sale of the house, Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, leaving me with no choice but to purchase the recommended water heater for installation in the attic. The new water heater was installed with an invoice dated 17 February 2025 and signed 13 February 2025. Issues and Concerns Failure to Honor Signed Quote: The signed quote explicitly stated that the water heater could be installed in the garage. Climate Experts refused to honor this agreement, citing additional costs and unforeseen circumstances despite having sufficient information (pictures, listing details, etc.) to prepare the quote. Lack of Due Diligence: Climate Experts did not send a technician to inspect the property prior to providing the quote, despite my realtor offering flexibility to accommodate a visit. This oversight led to inaccurate assumptions and subsequent issues. Leverage of Time Constraints: Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, forcing me to purchase an additional water heater to meet the inspection requirements for selling the house. Financial Impact: I incurred additional costs due to Climate Experts' refusal to honor the original agreement and their lack of due diligence.

I was able to get in the same day they sent Aaron who was very courteous and professional he introduced himself asked me what my issues were. I told him he did a diagnostic and he didn't leave until he found what was going on. I love that. He called his boss for any suggestions the two work together and they double check triple check what the issue could be. They did say that I was down a couple of pounds of antifreeze which was fine for me and he decided to look at my thermostat and found that there was a hole behind it and that's what was causing the air conditioning to come on and off. He use some kind of putty he fixed the issue and I timed my air-conditioning to come back on again and it was over 17 minutes, so thank you Aaron so much for making sure that my wife and I will be comfortable this year

FLORIDA AIR Heating and Cooling!…read more It's hard to find an honest, hardworking company that actually does what they promise and sticks to the quoted price--but Florida Air did exactly that. They're a smaller, family-owned business, which I really appreciated. I spoke with Wesley about a leak in my Trane air handler evaporator. Their technician, Aaron, arrived right on time and even sent an "on the way" text beforehand. Aaron was professional throughout the entire process and completed the air handler replacement efficiently. Great communication, punctual service, and quality work from start to finish. Whether it's a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Quote, Call Them! Highly recommend! ! Brad O. After waiting several days, we were told they couldn't find the part, had never heard of our unit brand (iAire), and to contact the manufacturer. When I called iAire, they immediately confirmed the sensor is not proprietary and that generic replacements are compatible. These are cheap and widely available online. Ranger told us they were not comfortable working on our unit and that we would need to find someone else. I'm frustrated that this was not communicated upfront, especially after we waited days in the Florida heat for answers. If the company is unwilling to service smaller brands or use generic parts, they should have told us during the initial visit instead of leaving us in limbo. When I tried to express any dissatisfaction with the situation, their phone rep repeatedly interrupted and talked over me, and I could barely get a sentence out. When I spoke with my fiancé later, he told me he had been treated the same way. I'm not happy with the poor communication, lack of service, and unwillingness to listen. They took our money and dropped us, gave us a headache, and now we will have to pay someone else to come and fix the issue. This was really poor customer service. They justified this by blaming everything on our "cheap, offbrand" unit and have made no attempt to make things right with us. They have not stood behind their own values. You can see from their responses to upset reviewers that they do not take ownership when they let their customers down and find any way to shift the responsibility for their mistakes. Shameful. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Unfortunately, my system finally died after 10 years and I had this company replace it. Phil Brantley, the owner is totally hands-on and gave me a reasonable price. He's on top of everything and has 2 seasoned and long-time employees, Jay and Dakota, working for him who do the servicing and installation. They are wonderful young men. Not only do they work very well together and did a magnificent job installing my system, but after their meticulous cleanup, you couldn't tell anything happened in my garage or outside where the condenser was installed. Great company, good value, and very honest! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for all your HVAC system needs.

We were actually in shock of just how unprofessional and disrespectful he was. We felt we were dealing with a completely different company than the one that serviced our air a few weeks ago (when Cory was the technician). I told Phillip/Bill he needs to learn from Cory how to treat customers and he said Cory didn't know about business. Well, Cory is keeping his company afloat and knows about how to treat customers. Phillip/Bill called a few minutes after he left. He implied he had been rude because he was afraid of getting sick (he was not wearing a mask). When my husband tried to explain that he had been rude even on the phone (BEFORE getting out of his truck) he said we were ignorant and hung up. Wow! Phillip/Bill lacks the minimum understanding of customer service! Refer to the picture of his message to us insulting us again. Stay away from this company!! And to Cory, please find another employer. You are too good to work for this unprofessional person.
