I think independent food places are great in general, but this one struck me as very different in that while they do sell the usual sandwiches, wraps, etc. ,they also had quite a large salad bar--almost Subway in style, with tons of choices like lettuce, cucumber, shredded carrots, tomatoes, pickle, and much more. So, if you're looking for a deli/sandwich bar with a slightly more healthy twist, this is a good place to pop in for lunch. It has always been clean and tidy when I have been in.

PW catered for my event at Manchester Cathedral on 3rd May 2015 for 300 guests. I had a drinks…read morereception and a 3 course meal and I cannot fault them in anyway! I had absolutely nothing to worry about during the set up, I provided my seating plan in the afternoon when I popped in and it already looked amazing! The food was absolutely amazing, the comments from all of my guests on the night were all so positive. I had a number of dietary requirements which were dealt with effectively and efficiently with no effort needed to ensure my guests got the right food. The service was fantastic and run like a military operation. Service was extremely speedy and given the type of event this was a good thing to ensure my guests had maximum time of dancing and drinking the night away. The staff were all extremely helpful and I got everything that was paid for, there was no issues with lack of food and drinks, there was so much available! I would highly recommend using PW, the communication in the run up to the event was faultless, the operation on the day was flawless and overall I was looked after very well and my guests provided for. Don't hesitate in booking with them as they really are excellent.

They apparently forgot to ask some tables how they wanted their steak cooked but they cooked it medium, so I think most people enjoyed it. Bacon butties at night went down a treat. The one disappointing element was the service of drinks at the reception. The drinks weren't poured when we came out of our ceremony (right on time). They were very slow at walking round to top our guests' glasses up and a lot of our guests were standing around without drinks. I ended up getting pretty annoyed with PW about it (on the 3rd time of asking), but to be fair to them they did speed up after that. It did upset me because i shouldnt have had to tell them again and again: they had clear instructions to circulate with drinks in the written 'minutes' and we had paid them to do that. I was also upset at their reaction to my complaint after the wedding. Jamie (MD) suggested it was because our guests drank too much and they ran out of glasses, but that doesn't explain why the drinks weren't ready at the start and why they weren't topping up glasses. We also had loads of drink left at the end, so either they underestimated or we overestimated what our guests would drink. So mixed feelings about them- food good, but service and customer care needs a lot of improvement.

Laura was a gem in helping us plan the party and get everything ready from outside the country for the last 12 months or so. Her communication was clear and questions always answered with a fast response. The room was laid out beautifully and we were able to get access to it the morning of to do some decorating of our own. The DJ was amazing, playing music that was appropriate for the party and was nice when our guests had any requests. The food was amazing, atleast that is what I have been told by the guests, I was too busy hosting that I forgot to eat. The bar staff were fantastic, both at the party and in the bar upstairs afterwards. I was extremely pleased with how everything turned out and can't imagine a better party anywhere else. They exceeded my expectations and will recommend them to anyone looking for a party venue in Liverpool. Thanks again for everything.
