Just shows everone has a different opinion, I really dislike this place we used to have our sandwiches from there at lunch time, not any more. There nothing special at all they scrimp on the fillings for example bacon on toast two small and I do mean small, bits of bacon and an egg, £2.60 and then you have to pay extra for adding brown sauce. They didnt even tell us it was extra for sauce, so every day there was a heated discussion about the buttys. Untill someone asked why there bill was always different from the menu prices, we were buying over a pounds worth of sauce every day for five buttys. A least Dick Turpin wore a mask. Had the sandwiches been worthy of the extra there would not have been a problem, there answer was take it or leave it, so we left it. There are many variations of sandwiches on the menu as well as salads, jacket potatoes and toasties. My fave is the club special, it';s delicious and they do a mean omelette. Prices are reasonable and if you pop in you can get a hot drink to wash your bacon butty down with. Love this place. Friendly, reliable staff, very helpful and always clean and presentable. I have ordered items not priced on their extensive menu and it`s never been any trouble even with a room full of hungry clients. There is also seating and daily newspapers if you want to "dine in" The food is always well presented, fresh and if it`s hot food you order, it`s hot food you get. Their "club sandwich" is to die for!! Their portions are ample for the hungry person unless you happen to be greedy then i suggest you "double up" In all the years i have been a visitor to Crumbs i have never seen or heard one bad word from any customer. The premises are always immaculate when i call in for some food, and i always notice they "clean as they go" which is just as it should be. I find their prices are competitive, clearly written.
