Lunch and Judy--what funny, if semi clever name for a British deli/takeaway. This little lunch place is located on Market Street in Birkenhead, and I discovered it quite by accident.
I think independent food places are great in general, but this one struck me as very different in that while they do sell the usual sandwiches, wraps, etc. ,they also had quite a large salad bar--almost Subway in style, with tons of choices like lettuce, cucumber, shredded carrots, tomatoes, pickle, and much more. So, if you're looking for a deli/sandwich bar with a slightly more healthy twist, this is a good place to pop in for lunch.
Just head up Argyle Street toward Hamilton Square, and turn right onto Market Street. read more
