After having to ask the price on the four different items we picked up, and the cashier saying oh I think it's like 2.49 or 2.99....we just decided to go to a regular store. Definitely won't return.

When one of society's biggest issues is debt, it shouldn't be this hard to function without a credit card. Just. Saying. And thankfully, here, I need not feel like the odd man out. They happily took down my contact info and my visa/debit number - stating that if I DID take off with the 50 glasses, and it didn't work, they'd track me down over the phone. Honor system... I like it! The catalogue is decent, the prices are fair and there isn't a return "time" (I have been nailed with before 9am return times... they are not pleasant) - really, what more do you want with an event rental place? Bonus points: they sell some of their old stock at insanely good prices, so if you see a little woman carting 100 martini glasses around Victoria next weekend... you'll know why.

I've gotta give a shout out to Party City and their great customer service skills. We're so quick…read morewith the bad reviews and critiques of service that sometimes we need to take the time to recognize the good stuff. Went in there with something to return that I bought for a wedding almost a year ago, not expecting much but thinking maybe they'd want them back. Brand new, tags still on but of course no receipt! The gal laughed when she asked if I bought them in September and I said yeah, maybe, of 2013!! She said return policy is 30 days but I'll give you in store credit since we don't have any in stock and we need them... I was shocked! When she said the 30 day thing I knew I'd be puttin' 'em up on ebay but then she graciously returned them. Now why can't more employees look out for their customers like that?? We then proceeded to shop in the well organized, clean store. Items were stocked and available with employees on the floor to help if you needed it. Prices are great (we had just come from the Spirit Store) with really cool clearance stuff mixed right in! We're a small town with not many other places to go for this kind of stuff so it's nice that they take the time to train staff in customer service to keep customers happy, not just coming back.

But I was at Best Buy to pick up something and thought, what the heck, I should take a quick look at this place. Well, I wasn't quick at all. What a fun place! Not just a party supply place at all, though it's that too. And it's huge. Even some stuff I previously had to mail-order because it was lacking at Joann's or Michael's, here it was much cheaper at Party City. Really worth a visit to be acquainted with their range, to bare in mind for all future reference.
