Idk why it's 2.6 stars I enjoyed my time food and price of bill good staff good food good atmosphere

We showed up around 2pm and there were a few people there, we were immediately sat down and were asked what we wanted to drink, about 5 minutes goes by and our drinks arrived, we ordered and got a few things off the lunch menu and got chips as our appetizers. The chips alone were extremely salty and oily and the salsa was very bland. Our food arrived and I don't know how they can achieve this but everything was absolutely salty! Whoever is making the food needs to lighten up on the salt. The burger tasted like it was from McDonald's, The quesadilla had no flavor at all and they manage to make the ranch taste like nothing and it was very watered down. Our waiter wouldn't take any of the empty cups off our table and it was starting to get very crowded, she only showed up 3 separate times and we had to wave down the manager or shift lead just to hand us some to go boxes. The vibe of the whole place just felt unappealing and rushed and we honestly didn't have a good time just because of how bad the food was and how little the waiter showed up. This was the second time we have tried this place out and this will definitely be our last. We had high expectations and they were completely crushed. I personally wouldn't waste your time coming down here unless you like your food very SALTY. read more

The food was good, I had the egg rolls and the potato and cheese soup. The service was fast, we went for lunch and were in and out within an hour. The utensils were a bit dirty so I asked for plastic. This location was clean overall as far as the restaurant itself and the tables/floors. this is a decent Chilis to visit. read more

Truly a horrible establishment. Just ordered 8:30 pm, 8.23.25. Was told my door dash order was door dash's fault and no accountability was taken from this place. I expect more out of Chilis, this was a poor Taco Bell experience at best, the manager should be fired and the general manager should work in a high school cafeteria. I thought this would be a very fitting photo since the lack of service made me go to a much better restaurant down the street, Hickory Tavern. Let me get started on the service. I won't entirely place the blame on the servers mainly because I cannot possibly fathom that the service was so bad that it would be their fault. Maybe the carbon monoxide detectors in the establishment ran out of batteries, and there was a complete cut off of oxygen. Perhaps an infestation of brain worms has infested the water supply of the town. I am not entirely sure, but I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was outside factors leading to the service being as existent as my happiness at this local Chilis. I had a Diet Coke and my girlfriend had a water with lemon, don't worry we made sure to pay on the kiosk because there was no possible way. Anybody would've asked us for the check anyway. I'm pretty sure if we decided to just walk out nobody would've noticed Unless someone called the Coast Guard to come look for us. Good thing no search parties got involved because we managed to pay and leave a one cent tip, which I think was extremely generous. The environment was great and I'm sure the food was great because everyone around us look to be having a good time. Chips and salsa was coming out fast for everyone except for us for 10 minutes. I've never had a bad experience at Chili's, so I'll make sure to go back, just never to this location until the day I stop breathing. read more

So where do I begin, First when we got there, we waited about 5 minutes before someone came over to greet us and ask us how many people we had. Yes, the wait staff saw us standing there but no one came over to even tell us that someone would be right with us. Finally a guy came out from the back and took our names and told us it would be about 15 minutes before we are seated. We ended up waiting 25 minutes before someone called us. Mind you, the restaurant was NOT packed. And we did not receive an explanation of what was taking so long. I feel like someone should have came over to update everyone on why there was a hold up because by this time there were a few families waiting to be seated. When we finally got to our table our waitress came over to take our order but she did not use a notepad. We asked her if she could remember our order and she said yes. She mentioned that she would repeat it back to us to be sure she got it. Well apparently she forgot because when she came back to the table my order was missing. And when the food arrived it was wrong. I requested "No meat" for my nachos and I asked her to make sure there is no meat in the queso that they put on the nachos. When she came back she brought some chips and salsa (that we did not order), and kept bringing me a cast iron pot of queso. Everyone else's food came and I had to remind the other waitress that we were waiting on my order. My food came to the table about 10 minutes late and the nachos had beef in them and the quacamole was missing. I had to wait another 10 minutes for my food to arrive and the quacamole was STILL missing. She brought me two small cups of quac and the taste was awful. It had way too much seasoning in it and the pepper was overbearing. When my check came I got charged for the extra chips and salsa that I did not ask for, and charged extra for the pot of queso that I also did not order. There was a misunderstanding about the queso that was supposed to go on the nachos. The waitress was not attentive and the manager had to come over and correct the bill. The overall atmosphere was not pleasant. read more

The hostess looked scared to talk to people and couldn't hear her. Waitress avoided us after my husband's burger was sent back because he ordered with no cheese. I had my meal gone and he hadn't gotten a replacement burger yet. Flagged down manager to check on the hold up. She went to the kitchen and the proceeded to avoid us as well and walk around the restaurant for 15 minutes. Never got the margarita I ordered. This review is specific to an online order. I had Chili's delivered this evening, and although the 1.5 hour wait is expected for a Sunday evening, the food was pretty bad. Ribs were cold, and please see my picture of the tablespoon of Cole slaw they considered a side dish. Can't comment on the customer service, but the fact they would try to send me this tiny little dollop of Cole slaw speaks volumes. read more

I just had to get on here and brag on the girl who brought our food tonight!! Kia was awesome!!! Our whole table unanimously agreed that she should be a server instead of just bringing out food!! Every once in a while you run upon someone who just gets a job done! Tianna probably had no idea the amount of work she saved a couple of people today. Restaurants are never easy to run, even in the best of times. When the government will pay people more to play video games than to work, staffing a restaurant becomes more difficult than getting the thousands of Americans left in Afghanistan safely out! I digress. Pretty frequently I need to take lunch to groups of 15 or more. Probably because I'm old enough to remember when computers ran off of cassette tapes, I have a real tough time with the "order online" stuff. I finally gave up on the Chili's site (which is only slightly easier than solving a Rubik's cube) and called the location in Southern Pines. Long story short, after being told they didn't open until noon, I called again and got Tianna! This is where things turned good! Tianna took my order over the phone quickly and like someone who knew what she was doing. I'm smiling at this point! I get to the restaurant and am let in 5 mins early to pay. I overhear who I later discovered was Tianna getting the order together and proactively correcting items prepared incorrectly! Now I realize that I can relax. Here's the upshot. If I owned a business, I'd have Tianna working for me by the end of the week. I don't care if she isn't trained. Give me someone who wants to get the job done over an "expert" every time! Now, about Chili's. It is what it is. If you show up expecting doves to be released when your entree is served, you are going to be disappointed. The food was to SALTY. MY husband couldn't get a Budweiser on tap he won't drink bud light and that's not right. The service wasn't all that great we ordered an appetizer and didn't get any plates to eat it on. We couldn't pay without having to pay on what I don't know what it is called. This may not be my favorite Chili's but it isn't bad. They have always taken care of of here and the food is good. My biggest complaint is they have taken the California Club off their menu. The burgers are good and the soup is good. At times the place could use a good cleaning. read more

It was Disgusting...the place smelled of old oil... the floor was gross.. our feet stuck to the floor. No hostess... no bar tender... can only imagine the kitchen. The food was extremely delicious and our waitress was very very friendly but HOWEVER we decided to go to the bathroom to wash our hands but when we walked in we find a lady sitting on the bathroom counter getting ready for her shift, she was sitting in the middle of the counter to where we weren't able to get to the sink, I had got home and decided to snack on my fries, I bit into one and too my surprise I had bit on something hard and come to find out it was a ROCK. Not only was it a rock but the rock looked like it was bought out of a crystal store, Not saying the rock was placed there on purpose but it was strange, besides all of chaos the food was very delicious and I had a great time with my friends. Everyone was extremely friendly in the restaurant and the waitresses were awesome, kept us with refills. When we walked in the door before we got to the entrance it didn't smell pleasant but the rest of the restaurant smelled fine. Back to the waitress in the bathroom she had an attitude not towards us but just in general, I felt like it kinda threw off the other waitresses vibe. She had been in the bathroom for at least 30-40 minutes, I just think it is very unprofessional to be an employee in a public restroom getting ready for your shift besides all that, great service and the food was great besides the rock. read more

Decided to go here after the movies with my family because they couldn't decide on a place and I figured Chili's would have something for everyone. We arrived around 3:30pm and were seated promptly. It looked like the bartender was also the waitress but she was very nice and as attentive as she could be. My husband got a salad and I got a soup to start and they arrived quickly. The potato soup was thick and pasty and full of cheese, it wasn't the worse thing I ever tasted but I did not finish it. My husbands Caesar salad was full of so much dressing with very little lettuce it looked like he also had soup, and not in a good way. Our food came out amazingly quick so I had very high expectations. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. I grabbed a fry and chewed down. It was hard!!! I thought maybe I just grabbed the old fry that was refried by accident, and I bit into another. Still hard and dry! It tasted like McDonald's fries, leftover, thrown into the oven and reheated. There was no more potato left inside, it was a hollow fry husk. The only explanation for those fries would be if they were dumped into a bucket the night before and thrown in the oven or fryer today and served to us. It was quite possibly the worse thing I have ever eaten from any restaurant, and it wasn't just mine! My husbands fries and my daughters were the same thing. My husbands sweet tea was so sweet he could not even drink it and ended up drinking my daughters Dr Pepper. On the plus side, my crispy chicken sandwich was hot and juicy; it wasn't an "amazing" sandwich but it was good. My husband said his burger was good but he did have gristle in it, which I've never heard of a burger having gristle in it. My daughter said her queso burger was also good and her friend said her Buffalo wings were ok but the Buffalo sauce was not spicy at all. We are not the types of people to complain but I did tell the waitress the fries were inedible. She apologized and offered to make some new ones but by then we were done. She did offer a "discount" which I accepted. When she came out to pull our check up on the tablet- she said "I'll go ahead and take off a drink" (that we didn't even drink mind you because it was so sweet!) she must have noticed my face because she said she would go ahead and take off 2 drinks. Thanks? I still tipped her 18% because it really wasn't her fault, but I my family and I were mad about it the whole ride home. We should have went to bonefish or kickbacks. My advice would be to avoid this place and go to a better rated restaurant nearby if you can help it. read more

At first I thought, "no way Chili's had one 2.5 stars" but...yeah...that's about right. We had to request a waitress/waiter (is that a new thing? I thought it was implied. I'm a bit excited because I LOVE their chips. I don't care what else I order - I'm getter my chips (& buying a bag to go). Uh...not from here. By far, the greasiest chips I have ever had! Someone get a clue & turn up that oil - no one wants greasy chips. Rest of meal was fine - again, temperatures were an issue: blazing hot or "was it sitting there for a long time" room temperature. Meh. Not only this is a chain (duh, me no like chains) but it's also one of the grimiest Chili's I have been to. The bar chairs were so greasy with fingerprints all over the backings, the floor was super slippery...like they had spilled oil on it or something. The wall next to the table was covered in food splatters and other diners meal's remnants, hmmmm. Me thinks not. As far as service goes it was ok. Not good not horrible. I ordered the appetizer trio with Southwest Eggrolls, little sliders and boneless wings. I received regular wings (with bones) so I told my waiter who promptly put in a second order with my boneless wings. So they failed. They tried to remedy. It's a chain restaurant. I've been to this particular location several times since 2011, and it has always been consistently ok - right in the corporate sweet spot of food that is tasty enough for us masses. Until last night's visit. It had been a year since I've visited. Interior was fine, staff was pleasant enough. But...low and behold they had a new menu. The wife had the avocado steak, medium rare (requested) and well (delivered). The dish came with a steamed cherry tomato side that had more sliced garlic in it than should be legal. Seriously...who needs 2 tablespoons of garlic in ANY single serving? I had some chicken tacos that could have been good, but the chimichurri sauce was bland and the tacos were watery. The black beans that came with looked like they had been microwaved a bit too long. Truly, the visit was unfortunate. I gave 3 stars based on all of my visits, but had I only rated last night's I would have been searching for the 1.5 star button. read more

The aroma literally took me back to my dad's pig pen full of rotten food and manure. No lie. It was so bad it felt like an unfit place to use the restroom, so I didn't. I think I come here at bad times. I come after work so around 9. The place is usually dead. But they don't close until 12 or midnight. You walk in and you don't see anybody workers. Where are they at? In the back doing what? My most recent visit I was pretty disappointed with customer service. Our waitress made sure our food was accurate, she didn't come by and check on us very often. And even if she wanted to let us enjoy our food she could have stay out in the eating area so we could catch her if we needed her. We waited a very long time for the check. We even asked another employee to get our server, she still didn't come right away. There wasn't any other people in another section of restaurant so what the heck could she be doing?! Besides the offer customer service not only from our server but from the host, the food was great and I will only return for the food. read more

This place is really a hit or miss. Service is a hit or miss. Food is a hit or miss. Service wasn't bad. Food is okay. Sometimes servers are attentive and the sometimes you don't have any water until you're done with your meal. Food is okay because sometimes they forget what you ask for as sides. Or if you say light cheese on mash for one person at your table they don't put any cheese on anything else for anyone, which is odd. Some corn on the cob had cheese and some didn't. We would rather come to chilis than Applebee's though so we'll have to deal with it and hope we get good service and mediocre food. read more
