Root Canals: I required 2 root canals on teeth #s 24 & 25. I was referred to Dr. Shah, DMD who…read morespecializes in Endodontic by my dentist Dr. Tommy Turkiewicz, DMD. Both practitioners are located in Peachtree City, Fayette County, GA. I had no preconceived idea of what I might expect, as I have never had a root canal and those I do know that have had root canals (they) were done so long ago I was certain the procedure would be updated. When I walked into the Office, I was impressed by the waiting area which had a wonderful light & clean scent - NOT perfume & not medicinal, simply fresh. The seating area is tastefully appointed in soothing paint colors, pleasant artwork on the walls seasonal decorations (in this case miniature pumpkins, orbs, hand painted real pumpkins as well). I was also greeted by a smiling & friendly office staff who were prepared with my information in hand. I somehow forgot my referral paperwork to which they replied kindly they would contact Dr. Tommy's office on my behalf. It was the "kindly" that impressed me - no indication that they were inconvenienced by having to make the contact. An extraordinary response considering many times graciousness is not displayed in many customer/patient related environments. I felt comforted by their response. The Care, Quality, and Professionalism displayed & taken by Dr. Shah & his assistants was exceptional! Full & complete information about the procedure was given prior to any procedure work commenced. I was told it was going to be a 2-visit procedure, the chosen technology used and for what purpose. There were 2 televisions for viewing: one parallel to the chair and one on the ceiling. I asked if it was ok for me to listen to an Audiobook during the procedure, which was encouraged so long as I was able to hear any questions asked. After full mouth X-rays taken, I was seated and Novocain was administered. The reason I bring this up is in all my life never have I experienced such a painless administration of Novocain! The technique employed included redirecting pressure on my lower lip while brief injections were administered. I never felt a pinch!! Remarkable! Sunglasses were placed over my eyes so the lights would not bother me. Quite considerate! After the procedure was complete, Dr. Shah (whose assistants were gentle, worked seamlessly with Dr. Shah, communicated clearly and genuinely enjoy their team & profession) showed me the work he performed and his expectations for success. They all bid farewell and to call with any questions or concerns. I Made my 2nd appointment, which was brief & rescheduled for 18 months noting I need a follow-up appointment with Dr. Tommy to complete any dental work needed. Post-Root-canal: the area around my gums & teeth were tender, not excruciating, antibiotics & Tylenol were all that was needed after the 1st visit. I started antibiotics 2-days prior to my appointment and continue until completed. overall this was a relaxing and pleasant experience. Dr. Shah is caring and clearly understands his role as a professional as well as genuine patient care. Thank you!!

Extremely Disappointed With the Lack of Consideration for Patients' Time…read more My experience with Endodontics Associates Atlanta and Dr. Figueroa has been extremely frustrating, and I am disappointed with the lack of consideration for my time and work commitments. My original appointment was scheduled for September 10, 2026. I paid a $100 deposit and took time off work specifically for this appointment. Less than 48 hours before the scheduled date, the office canceled because the doctor had a funeral to attend. I understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances happen, and I was initially willing to be understanding. However, I rescheduled for November 13, 2026, and once again made arrangements around this appointment. Because of the appointment time, I planned to take a half day off work, and my partner also arranged to take time off to drive me. Today, October 20, I received a call informing me that Dr. Figueroa would only be seeing patients until 12:45 p.m. on my scheduled appointment date because he had holiday plans. I was told that I would need to reschedule to accommodate his availability. Now, after already having one appointment canceled, I am being asked to rearrange my work schedule again, potentially change my travel plans and figure out whether my employer can accommodate an earlier appointment. I am also being forced to consider traveling to Kennesaw to get the treatment I need. At this point, I feel that my time and circumstances are not being given the same consideration that the office expects patients to give the doctor. I have a job, responsibilities and a schedule just like everyone else. I understand that doctors have personal lives and holiday plans, but patients also make arrangements, lose work hours and organize transportation to attend necessary medical appointments. Most importantly, I still need a root canal, and I am the one left trying to figure out how to make everything work despite these repeated scheduling issues. I booked this appointment, paid a deposit and made plans in good faith. I expected a professional level of communication and reliability, especially when dealing with necessary dental treatment. I cannot speak to the doctor's intentions, but this experience has left me feeling as though my time and treatment are not a priority. Patients deserve better communication, consideration and respect for their schedules. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously because this has been a very disappointing experience.
