The classes are very enjoyable, and fun, and my daughter always looks forward to attending each week. CMA does an excellent job structuring the lessons in a way that keeps the children engaged, involved, and paying attention throughout the entire class. I really appreciate how the learning environment is both educational and playful, which makes it perfect for young children. It's clear that a lot of thought goes into making the lessons interactive and age-appropriate. CMA is more than just piano lessons. A majority of music is on the keyboard/piano, but they also play recorder, guitar, tambourine, triangle and more. I am glad this is a group setting with a variety of participation such as singing, challenge games and rewards. My daughter doesn't object to getting her practice time in at home and looks forward to her Monday afternoon class. I would have enjoyed my few years of piano and retained more knowledge if my lessons were like this. read more

We Love CMA! It was such a great decision putting our daughter in this program. She has learned so much! Children's Music Academy teaches kids how to read music, but also focuses on the Theory behind what she is learning. This will allow her to take what she has learned and apply it to many different musical instruments. They mainly play keyboard, but also percussion, recorders, guitar, and more! One of the most important things our daughter has benefited from in this program is Confidence. They routinely memorize and play solos for the class, which has built up her confidence in playing in front of her peers. Recently, her school took a field trip to the Springfield Art Museum. There was a piano there and she sat right down and played several songs (by memory) for her classmates...just because! She was so sure of herself thanks to the strong foundation this program builds.
