I have to call for updates when the last thing I was told was to wait for a background check. It doesn't take over two weeks for it to be processed. My son attended the Fairfield location of Children's Lighthouse from when he was a baby through graduating pre-school. We had such a positive experience! Now that he's in his first few weeks of a kindergarten, his teacher said he already knows everything they cover in Kindergarten. TBH, we don't do much in the way of extra study time at home. I credit the awesome education he received at Children's Lughthouse! His Pre-K teacher, Ms Savannah was particularly helpful, making sure his writing skills were top notch. All of the staff were amazing and I can't recommend this location of Children's Lighthouse enough! read more

Children's Lighthouse Fairfield - Graduation during quarantine - Preschools Near Me - Cypress, Texas

My oldest went to Lighthouse in Fairfield and I ended up removing them because staff didn't think it was important to keep the front doors locked, also letting people follow each other in without using their passcode. This was a HUGE safety concern for me. Every time I mentioned it, they treated me like I was being unreasonable for being concerned about the unlocked doors. The safety and security of the building is not on their list of priorities when it comes to caring for your child. Please don't put you babies here if you want peace of mind. read more

It's been almost a year since my daughter went here and I still can't believe how bad it was. Things may have changed. I hope for other kids it has. But I'm reading some of the reviews from a year ago and really hoping it's changed. My daughter attended this daycare for ONE DAY and I pulled her out. We paid for the whole week but money doesn't matter in my case. We were so excited about how nice the facility was and how friendly everyone was. How looks can deceive. She was placed in the young schoolers room. They didn't give me a code to access cameras. When I went to pick my daughter up she couldn't get out fast enough. When we got to our vehicle she bursted out crying. She said she had been bullied and hurt multiple times. One kid shoved her down the slide. Another pushed her and she fell and scraped her arm on the rug causing a big sore. She said she tried to tell the teacher but the teacher said she would be ok. My daughter is one of the happiest and friendly ppl I know in this world. She said she tried to smile to make friends and no one wanted to play with her. The teachers made no effort to help. After we got in the car she continued crying to just take her home. It almost sent me into tears. Once calmed down she refused to talk for the rest of the night. Anyone who knows my daughter knows that's not normal. I contacted the front office and supervisor. No one in the daycare knew about any of it. Not the teachers or front office or supervisor. No one. They said they would review the cameras and get back to me within the week. I never heard back. They offered to put her in the older kids room and said there were better teachers there and they would pay better attention. My thought is shouldn't all the teachers be paying attention and be good with the kids. I also noticed when we got there to pick her up the teachers weren't interacting with the kids. They were on the other side of the room and the kids were very quiet for their ages and no one played together. It was weird. We also weren't greeted when picking her up. It took front office staff to tell the teacher to say hi to me. And that's all she said was hi. No update or she had a bad/ good day. Just hi and left. I don't think anyone in this daycare truly cares about the kids. At least not anyone I met after we signed up. I truly hope it has changed since then. Doubtful but maybe. read more

Front staff is unprofessional. Curriculum is never done. Activities and events on calendar mostly do not happen due to lack of supplies. Teachers are constantly out of ratio. No consistency for the children. read more

Total disappointed with this child care service. They met no exceptions and I feel like the 2 months my son was in this location I FAIL him. I have a 3 year old son who was not potty trained but we had been working with him on it and he was getting it. They were no help at all. My son never learn his teachers name because there were different ones from week to week. Don't let the nice facilities fool you, please beware of the false promises they tell you. Being new to the area, the we have coffee prepared every morning for you, the we can handle any type of child, we have a structured program. Are LIES to get your money. This is weird to say because I never seen a toddler that is not active. With that said, if your child is active you will have problems at this place. We moved to another daycare and in two week by son knows who is teacher is by name and is 90% potty trained. I leave this review with one word about this child care location, "BEWARE". read more

This is a wonderful daycare! I have had my son going there for about a month now. They are patient and kind with new families getting acquainted to the system. You can watch your child on the live camera feed. It is inside my neighborhood so convenience is definitely amazing. read more

We DO NOT recommend Children's Lighthouse in Fairfield and this is why. We enrolled our twin sons part-time into Children's Lighthouse in Fairfield in July 2017. Wasn't long before problems started with certain teachers. We have a son that cannot have dairy and I would pack his food for that day. The Teacher there that day would feed him the food he wasn't supposed to have and it caused skin rashes and diarrhea. Teacher was confronted about this along with Shannon the Director. (This issue accrued a lot). I had a teacher tell me in person that she has no patients for the kids after I asked her why they were all in timeout. I immediately left with my children and talked to the Director about the situation. The next day that same teacher was there with a major attitude towards me and I removed my children for the rest of the week from the school. We were offered to move rooms after I told the director I wasn't bringing them back. Well the next room wasn't any better about my son's allergy to dairy. I found myself watching the cameras more than normal. We reported all the issues to the director and nothing ever seemed to be done. The final straw and the reason we fully pulled our boys immediately was they were left in their diapers that entire day. (I packed 3 diapers a day per kid and marked them) Our oldest had a sever red blister rash all over for 4 days (he was left in a wet and soiled diaper) our youngest had a minor red rash all over for a few days (he was left in a wet diaper). All this resulted in 2 months of medial issues and the fear of going to the bathroom. Going to Shannon the Director will get you nowhere, as we feel she covers things up and takes the sides of the teachers in the wrong. The Owner Randy will do anything to keep the situation quiet and doesn't want the public knowing what happens there, by calling parents who had a bad experience that leaves a negative comment and demanding they remove it. Every parent has the right to their own review and opinion of their experience. read more

This daycare was an inconvenience and a complete and total waste of time for my family. Being new to the area, I was anxious to acclimate my child to our new surroundings and I admit that I should have toured this facility a few more times before committing. They basically tell you what you want to hear to get your child in but once you're in, the overall demeanor from the staff oddly changes. Had they been upfront and honest early on about what they could and could not handle, I would have more respect for this daycare than what I do now. The 3 year old class is a joke! They never kept my child's face clean. Once when picking up my child, I noticed that my child was crying alone in an corner not being consoled at all and on another occasion, they allowed my child to run around the playground for who knows how long with shoes on the wrong feet! I had to place the shoes on correctly. Interestingly enough, I placed this exact review on google reviews and it has some how vanished. Makes me wonder exactly how many other honest reviews have disappeared while only certain reviews remain. I nor my spouse will never recommend this daycare to anyone, EVER. read more

We enrolled our 15 month old ( now 2+ years) into Children's Lighthouse Cypress Texas last August shortly after they opened. As my husband is a small business owner, we were thrilled to support a local family owned business in our neighborhood. As all new organizations experience growing pains, Lighthouse had a few challenges specifically as it related to staff. When we experienced something not so great, the owner was always very responsive and action oriented. Over the last 2 months, Children's Lighthouse has hit their stride and are doing amazing things! The correct staffing is in place and it shows all over the center! There is a sense of community and the staff is so friendly and kind... often will comment as I walk by with my little one to tell me a great tale of what he did that day! This positive environment makes Children's Lighthouse Cypress a child care center you will feel comfortable and confident to care for your little ones. The services they offered are also top notch with live video feed from classrooms, to special "parent's night house" monthly, grandparents breakfast, surprise "parent breakfast to go", monthly special treats for the family and month dinners for family. They also offer a "Fun Pass" which is a prepaid 5 day pass for you to send your child over the summer without the full summer commitment. Basically you can use a pass for a day you need care with only 48 house notice. This is an AMAZING service since my pre-schooler has a summer camp only 3 days a week and now we can use Children's Lighthouse on the days he does not have camp. My daughter has attended a few daycares in her four years and nothing compares to Children's Lighthouse Fairfield. This daycare is a team who works together to make sure your child's best interests are taken care of - from the front desk, to the supervisor to the teachers. My daughter had potty training issues at the age of four! I tried EVERYTHING to get her potty trained and with the assistance and amazing communication from Children's Lighthouse's staff, we were able to put her on a strict diet that has now helped my daughter proceed with potty training. Family oriented, with parties for the children, dance classes available, and a wonderful curriculum. This daycare goes above and beyond expectations! read more

My wife and I have two children that attend Children's Light House of Fairfield. We love the school and our kids really enjoy going to school there. They have learned so much and I feel when they are ready for Elementary school that they will be well prepared. The teachers and staff have been great and easy to talk to. My son started attending Children's Lighthouse the day they opened. At first we loved the school. Throughout the two years he attended the school gradually became worse. There is a revolving door of "Teachers" with little to no experience. One Teacher had to be removed by the police, then harassed the Parents as they picked up their kids the day she was fired. The school does have cameras in each class, watching the 3-4 year old room is a joke. The kids are running around and throwing toys. Half of the time I could not locate my son on the camera. I soon found out that any time they thought he was misbehaving he was placed in the hall-way or sent to another room with no re-direction. The class had no structure what-so-ever. The "Teachers" would tell my son that he was bad, when in fact it was the school. I was even told by Barbara that if I spanked my child he wouldn't miss-behave. When I brought this to the school director and owner they acted appalled. A week later my son was kicked out of school and Barbara was still employed. After leaving Children's Lighthouse and starting Kids R Kids in Fairfield my son has adjusted remarkably. The children are well-behaved and the staff actually knows what the are doing. He has improved not only socially but academically as well. It took several weeks for my son to realize that he was not the bad kid the staff at Children's Lighthouse convinced him he was. I would not recommend this school to anyone. read more
