I would say they have the best staff and the best crew. My daughter was in the Pre-Pre School stage for 2 months, and Miss Bobi and Miss Charity were amaaaazing. My daughter loved them so much -- they welcomed her with open arms and took great care of her. Now she has started the Pre-School stage with Miss Kate, and she has been very nice so far. The teachers are staffed with so many kids that they aren't able to acclimate new kids into the classroom. I would have to leave my crying toddler and wrangle him from me with little help from the teachers. We went for all of 2 months and almost weekly, my child would come home with scratch or bite marks on him. There was never an incident report. I would have to notice the mark on my child and call them to ask questions. They would not give me any answers but my child gave me the name of the kid that was continuously hurting him. After this was reported to them, they moved my child and disrupted him instead of dealing with the child that did the hurting. I was told I would get texts and communication through out the day but that happened 1 day. When I would drop off my child in the morning, I'm pretty sure there would be times when the teacher/child ratio did not abide by regulations. Especially a father whose child had a broken femur because a teacher "fell" on his leg which seems HIGHLY impossible. My son went here from 6mo to 5 and half years. We had an excellent experience with CLA, there are a dedicated team of lovely individuals. Ms Tarrie is by far one of the best educators and people we've met. Her classes always see such improvement and she leaves such a lasting mark on her students, and their families. I walked my child into school and dropped him off and my bag with my personal items were stolen and passenger window smashed. Come to find out when I asked for video surveillance the cameras outside don't work. Why? Because corporate doesn't think they need to pay for surveillance in the parking lot of their business. THIS IS ABOUT CHILD SAFETY AT A CHILDCARE FACILITY! I spoke to Chloe who "works closely" with the VP Stephanie and she was very dismissive and rude. I requested to speak with Stephanie and Chloe told me she'd talk to her for me, which she has no right to speak for me since the situation happened to me and i had photos of what happened. I was completely violated by these people who broke into my car and received 0 support from corporate. Who knows how long the camera haven't worked for. My child is well taken care of and we love the staff. But my issue is with COORPRATE!! Chloe, Stephanie, Rick Sodja and his wife. ALL OF YOU HAVE DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED MY FAMILY. Coorprate needs to get cameras on the parking lot and permeniter outside and I hope the inside cameras work because families pay THOUSANDS a year to send their kids to this facility but for what? NO SAFETY, NO SURVEILLANCE AND NO CARE FROM CORPORATE. Wow! wow! wow! Having to choose a school / care center for you little ones can be so overwhelming and stressful. I did about 7 different tours in Scottsdale/Phoenix area and bumped into this amazing place called CLA in Scottsdale. Walking into this place was literally like walking into Disneyland . First of all, there is this strong beautiful group of women at the front desk that greeted us with the most amazing energy and beautiful smiles. Second -this place is gorgeoussss. Every classroom has full glass walls and you can see through everything . You see all kinds of ages (from newborn babes to preschool. Not to mention they have all kinds of camps throughout the year for the big kids) The faux three in the middle of the school is a cherry on top of this whimsical place. Everything is clean and organized . The outside is massive for outside play (all designated with age) & The teachers!!!! Gasppppp. They're all so so nice and wonderful. They write a report of what they did everyday and hand it to you when you pick them up. It's awesome My daughter is obsessed with her school (this school) she's currently 3 and we've been there for about a year now- & get this .... They greet us everyday just like the first day we went for our tour it makes my motherly heart just so happy and so comforted knowing that my daughter is in great hands in this school. This place is a complete nightmare. Make sure to ask what the tenure is for the teachers assigned to your child because I can guarantee they are new. Turnover is horrible so they overlook how teachers mistreat children. I know this because I witnessed a teacher shove my son and the director decided no action was needed until I involved their VP. Come to find out by other parents this was not the first time my child had been mistreated by their staff. In addition, multiple families we know are immediately removing their children too due to the volatility in care. My son has an allergy and was continuously marked as eating food that contained that allergen because the teachers just didn't pay attention to what they were putting on the paper given at the end of day. Multiple times prior to these mistakes he had actually been fed food containing his allergen and then staff would lie to me about it. On multiple occasions, the ratio would be off in classrooms where up to 11 babies were under the care of 1 teacher. It got to the point where my husband and I started reminding the staff up front so they could help these teachers instead of sitting at the front desk on their phones. I can continue to go on and on about how horrible this place is - I have emails and scanned paperwork. read more

My daughter has grown so much in the last year and a half and it's all thanks to the amazing staff at Children's Learning Adventure. We love this school! My littlest one is 9 months old and she's been in the infant program since she was 3 months old. Ms. Jessica is SO nurturing and kind. She always meets us with a smile and is such an easy going fun loving spirit. Ms. Melissa and Ms. Cheyenne are wonderful too! It truly is team effort. It is very much individualized attention for the kiddos. We get the cutest artwork, and I feel very comfortable when our baby is in their hands. They really create a home away from home. This school is definitely one of the better, cleaner, higher end childcare centers in the Phoenix area. The facility is huge and colorful and engaging. Great age appropriate play grounds, with rubberized ground, which means no sand in my kids shoes, yes!! The front desk staff always greets you with a cheerful hello and goodbye. Megan (front desk) and Antoinnette (the director) are just good kind friendly caring people. I appreciate that the staff wears masks and kids temps are taken at the door daily during this pandemic. I will say I was a little bummed the kids don't get to use the "fun set up play rooms" in the front, because they are AWESOME. But I totally understand that it's a sanitary issue due to covid. Overall, I truly am so glad I toured this place. We enrolled same day as our tour after my clingy 3 year old said happily "I want to stay here!" We LOVED our experience at Children's Learning Adventure! From day one Michelle and Megan were amazing. They gave us the tour and we were sold. I think our kids thought they were at Disney Land! By the time we departed Bella was so comfortable and happy she walked around like she owned the place.  The care and compassion each teacher showed is exactly what any parent wants for their children. To name a few Antoinette and Kayla always greeted the kids in the morning with happy hearts which always made them love to arrive. Palace was always so kind and genuinely asked questions to all the parents at drop off. Gigi is wonderful, she has an amazing energy. Terika is always so caring and compassionate, and even though Cruz was a bit of a drop off crier she always took him and comforted him. Bella and Cruz grew so attached to Sara that they are still asking about her now! Sara took the time and effort to always make personalized arts and crafts for her class.Bella really grew a special bond with Ms. Sara.This is just to name a few, the entire staff is absolutely wonderful! This school is like no other! My son has been attending since he was 2 years old and now he is 4 in the Pre-K program. We love the personalized daily notes he receives everyday from his teachers. My children were enrolled at the CLA in Scottsdale for 9 months which I feel is long enough to develop an opinion. I hope this information helps another family considering. Firstly, I expect a somewhat elevated turnover rate in this type of industry but it was significantly higher here. I loss count of the number of staff who came and left after a while. The school is ​aesthetically pleasing but it stops there. During the tour the perception is that the special rooms are used often but they aren't. The security is one of the biggest issues for me. They "buzz" you in whereas many other centers have modern security including keypads/fingerprint systems for signing in/out. Many daycare centers use Brightwheel or similar apps to cut down on paper waste and send updates/pictures of your children throughout the day. This facility does not. Because the center has over 200 students my children stayed sick. This along with several other factors ultimately played a factor in me removing my children. Hope this helps. read more

What does every parent want for their child? To offer them the best opportunity possible to have the most success in life, of course. Well, the staff at Children's Learning Adventure have completely embodied this philosophy. When my wife told me that she had found "the absolute best pre-school ever", I was immediately skeptical. She spoke of a grand complex filled with numerous classrooms, a giant playground, and, essentially, an indoor sports complex. Who ever heard of such a place for children? Not to be taken for a fool, I decided to accompany my wife on a guided tour of the facilities. The initial reaction from my daughter was really all I needed. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped in wonderment at the sheer awesomeness of the facility. We met with Selena, and she proceeded to guide us on our tour of this brand new facility (construction was completed in early September 2012). The first room we encountered was the library. As you can see from the pictures provided, the library was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! There were plenty of puzzles to keep the kids' minds sharp, plenty of books, and there was an immaculate aquarium full of beautiful fish to enchant the children. Selena took us from the library, and began the tour of the actual classrooms. The facility takes children as young as six months old, and has a fantastic curriculum in place for each age group. These curricula, as we learned, are developed by the staff, and delivered by the teachers. The concept behind this staff developed curriculum is to aide in the the happiness of both the teachers AND the students (by having a pre-designed curriculum, there is less stress on the teachers, enabling them to fully commit to the educational development of the students.) There seemed to be an endless number of classrooms to facilitate the various age groups represented within the building. According to Selena, each classroom has at least two teachers to accommodate no more than a dozen students. More one-on-one time with teachers can only be considered a good thing, in my opinion. In the center of the learning facility, there is an indoor gymnasium. This gymnasium has a full-court adjustable-height basketball court which doubles as a yoga studio. Who wouldn't want to expose their children to an early introduction of sound physical and mental fitness, right? As we continued on our tour of the educational wonderland, we were introduced to an outdoor play area that would rival any indoor children's park I've seen. This play area had state of the art padding to prevent scrapes and cuts caused by the inevitable falls of toddlers. There was a full court basketball court outside. There was also a full-court tennis court, which also converted to a full-court volleyball court. There was a tented play area complete with slides and other activities. After completing our examination of the outdoor facilities (which were monitored by a specified physical education instructor), we ventured back inside to finish up the tour. We passed through the art room, the science room, and the media room. In the latter room, students are afforded the opportunity to mimic being broadcast journalists and other television personalities, all in an effort to overcome one of, if not THE greatest of all fears, public speaking. To say that we were impressed by these facilities would be the understatement of the century. And, to top it all off, we learned that if your child is enrolled in Children's Learning Adventure, they are enrolled in ALL of the Children's Learning Adventure facilities. Which means, that should my wife and I decide to pull up stakes and head to Tucson, our daughter will be able to move seamlessly into a Tucson-based facility, and continue her incredible education. THIS PLACE! After moving to Scottsdale and obtaining jobs, we knew we had to find somewhere for our daughter to go. She has always been at home with mom or dad, so to say we were hesitant and extremely picky is an understatement. If you still browsing places to view and/or have yet to go on a tour here, let me paint you a picture... From the time you walk in (mind you there is ALWAYS someone up front because you can't open the door unless you are buzzed in) you feel welcomed. Whether they were on the phone or completing a task on the computer, they always pause to cheerfully welcome us. Not to mention, and to our surprise, it took what seemed like a day to remember our daughters name and use it every time they see her :) If it were just her teachers that would be expected, but the managerial staff?! We felt like we had been there for months already. The tour was top notch. By the end we had viewed every inch of the building. The outdoor play area is fenced in completely and even has different areas for different ages. Also, they never go outside when the heat is too high. Bonus: they have an indoor (smaller version) basketball court area to get their activities in! We knew exactly where our daughter would go during the day and who she would be with. We had a copy of the classroom's schedule, what she would be eating and when, the monthly newsletter containing educational information she would be introduced to (and why), a schedule of their dress-up themed Fridays (SO fun!) and a brief educational background on her teachers. BEST PART: before we were shown the price per plan sheet (3 days FT, 5 days PT, etc.) we both just thought "there is no way we can afford this". WRONG! We just about fell out of our chairs! Amazing AND affordable?! This wasn't the first place we had toured either, so we knew other pricing plans in the area. Between what we saw and the price, this was a no-brainer for us. It took us an hour of going over all our tours and our pro/con list (yes, we were those parents who HAD to compare every inch and aspect) to call back and confirm we would be starting our daughter there the next day! Fast forward 4 months and we are still as in love with CLA as we were on the tour!! I waited to write a review until a few months had gone by to give a fair and accurate review to fellow parents whom are in search of a childcare facility, and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone! You get so much out of her care... our daughter brings home her artwork, has had school pictures taken, created Father's Day and Grandparents Day gifts, and every day gets to bring home a "daily" explaining her day, when she napped, how much food she had, and any additional notes from the teaching staff. Our daughter has even moved up to a new classroom, and her learning just continues to skyrocket! Her new teachers were SO welcoming of her and she adjusted within 1 day of meeting them and her new friends. I really can't express how much CLA has meant to me over the last 18 months that my daughter has been attending. When my daughter was 3 months and I was going back to work, we had her in another facility (that came recommended by a friend) and I was in tears everyday dropping her off or picking her up. It literally felt that I was rescuing her at pickup because it was evident that she was in tears just all the time. I only kept her in that facility as long as I did because it came so highly recommended from a close friend. Then CLA entered our lives and I realized what a daycare SHOULD be. Forget the optics of how beautiful and well-kept the facility is (don't completely forget but for the sake of this review, forget it) ... the thing that meant the most to me is how wonderful the teachers are. From the infant room, to the transitional toddler room, to the toddler rooms, to the front-desk staff ... I know my daughter is well cared for and loved. Want examples? Both of these occurred when I was picking her up or stopping by at not-normal times so any thought of "well they knew you were coming" is out the window. My daughter was absolutely exhausted and hadn't napped very well when she was in the infant room (nature of the beast - I got a great kid but her newborn napping was not so good). She was in tears from over-tiredness and I walked in, the teacher had her wrapped in a soft blanket and was just rocking her softly to help her go to bed. :: heart burst :: Babies are also clumsy and not so great on their feet so accidents occur. No big deal. My daughter fell and the teacher taking care of her felt worse than I did. I know that sounds silly but I'm her mom and I was like "no big deal ... it won't be the first time" and she was just so upset that she "let" my daughter trip and felt guilty for days. My daughter has fallen countless times on my watch because she's crazy haha. But the fact that she took it so hard is a clear reflection to how the teachers feel about "their kids". Into the toddler rooms and the love and care just grows as my daughter is at CLA longer. As we move into new rooms, the former teachers hold her tight and tell me not to let her move up on her last day. I constantly dream about quitting my job and being a SAHM (I wish) but you know what? I want to start the review by saying no school is for every family but this is our story: we switched to CLA because they offered a "more advanced curriculum" which in my mind meant more stimulation, more fun activities, more engagement. I figured "wow with all those specialty classrooms and the smart boards they can sure do wonders." After a few weeks I started doubting my interpretation of their marketing promise. I felt the smart boards were used too much and the specialty classrooms too little. My son cried at drop off for 2 months and was eager to leave when I picked him up. At the other school he sometimes asked to stay a little longer finishing up what he was doing or just playing. My conclusion was: 1) don't be fooled by appearances , a small school can offer the same or more than a Disney land type school 2) engagement is achieved with skilled teachers not technology and infrastructure 3) some kids like/ need lots of love and care, others are content with a more distant relationship with teachers, 4) some kids thrive around more kids, others prefer lower teacher - student ratios. If your kid likes to be around a ton of kids and does not need the love and care so much then CLA might be right for you! If you are looking for more structure/ less free play CLA might be right for you. If you are ok with the use of smart boards for little kiddos then CLA might be good! But don't forget to ask details about how much this is used and for what type of activities.
