We arrived for my daughters 1 year check-up at 11:45 for our 12 o'clock appointment. There were no cars in the parking lot & we thought maybe they had closed bc of Hurricane Candy & the news said to expect heavy rain showers all day, which they were right about bc it was pouring when we arrived. They were open but no one waiting or anyone behind the desk to sign in. When someone did acknowledge me, it was a heavy-set woman who said we were 30 mins early and we couldn't see anyone until at least 12:45. She then walked off before I had time to respond & inform her our appt. was at noon not 12:30, someone had also called the day before to remind us of our appointment at noon. By this time a heavy black woman was behind the desk & I informed her of the situation and that it was pouring down outside and was hesitate to drive and honestly wanted to reschedule but decided to go because she was getting her 1 yr shots etc. so when I brought up the confusion on the time of our appt. she acted like she didn't care, which doesn't surprise me bc I have been here before & the large black lady had always been rude, but i was trying to inform her the card we received at our last visit w/the appointment time, as well as a phone call that we were here at the correct time and that my main concern was the weather & that we wouldn't have to wait too long. First she just ignored me and stared at the computer in front of her while eating pork rinds. A few families began to arrive & immediately called back. she had told us that it would've been impossible for them to schedule an appointment at noon and could I please take a seat. A few more people came in and were called back as well as another family who's appointment time was wrong according to the same lady behind the desk. So obviously she is incapable of scheduling appts accurately which is important to the mothers of the small children that go there and then was completely rude and put the blame on me & the other lady whose appt was scheduled at one time but was told it was something different. I have nothing negative to say about the nurses or doctors there, only had bad experiences on more than one occasion with the front desk employees, specifically the lady I encountered today. It was almost 2pm by the time we left. On average it takes 45 mins but I feel like we were purposely made to wait or perhaps our appointment was really at noon so we got pushed back because she got the appointment wrong read more
